  • at the transition between the flow path 5 with the inlet 8 and the outlet 9 features a smooth transition to minimize obstructions in the gas flow path in the housing 7.
  • Fig. 7 shows a preferred use of the inventive rotary compressor 1 in a gas lubricated mechanical seal arrangement 100.
  • the arrangement 100 comprises a mechanical seal having a rotating seal ring 101 connected to a shaft 115 and a stationary seal ring 102 connected to a stationary element.
  • a sealing gap 103 is formed between the two sealing rings 101, 102.
  • the mechanical seal separates a product side 113 from an atmosphere side 114 by means of a gaseous medium provided by a main compressor 105 via a seal gas supply 106.
  • a filter 110 In the seal gas supply 106 there are provided a filter 110, a stop valve 108, an orifice 111 and a check valve 112.
  • a bypass 107 which comprises a stop valve 109 and a rotary compressor 1 according to the invention.
  • the bypass 107 bypasses thereby the stop valve 108, the orifice 111 and the check valve 112 (see Fig. 7 ).
  • a labyrinth seal 104 neighbouring the rotating seal ring 101 in order to keep supplied gaseous medium 116 close to the sealing gap 103.
  • the inventive rotary compressor 1 is activated as an auxiliary compressor in order to maintain the supply of gaseous medium 116 to the mechanical seal.
  • the stop valve 108 is closed and the stop valve 109 is opened so that the gaseous medium is sucked through the bypass 107.
  • the inventive rotary compressor 1 has a very short start-up time and can provide a non-pulsating gas flow to the mechanical seal. Due to the inventive configuration of the impeller 2, the flow path 5 and the magnetic coupling 4, a very efficient gas supply can be provided in a continuous matter and without gas leakage to the atmosphere. Thus, a contamination of the sealing gap 103 between the seal rings 101, 102 can be avoided. Thereby, the inventive rotary compressor 1 can be run over a long time, since there is no friction and the danger of building up heat at the impeller 2. Furthermore, there is no risk of mechanical failure as it was the case when piston compressors were used.

Claims (13)

  1. Agencement d'étanchéité mécanique lubrifié au gaz comprenant
    - une bague rotative (101),
    - une bague fixe (102) et
    - une unité d'alimentation en gaz comprenant un compresseur principal (105) et un compresseur auxiliaire (1),
    - dans lequel le compresseur auxiliaire (1) est un compresseur rotatif pour comprimer un milieu gazeux, comprenant
    - une roue (2),
    - une unité d'entraînement (3) et
    - un couplage magnétique (4) comprenant un rotor intérieur rotatif (41), un rotor extérieur rotatif (42) et une boîte (43),
    - dans lequel le rotor intérieur (41) est relié à la roue (2),
    - dans lequel la roue (2) comprend une partie solide continue (25),
    - dans lequel une première rangée (21) et une deuxième rangée (22) d'aubes (23) sont prévues au niveau de la circonférence extérieure de la partie solide (25) de la roue, les première et deuxième rangées d'aubes étant séparées par une paroi intermédiaire circonférentielle (20), et
    - dans lequel les aubes (23) de la première rangée (21) sont décalées dans une direction circonférentielle par rapport aux aubes (23) de la deuxième rangée (22).
  2. Agencement selon la revendication 1, dans lequel le compresseur auxiliaire (1) comprend en outre un boîtier (7) ayant une entrée (8), une sortie (9) et un chemin d'écoulement (5), où le chemin d'écoulement (5) relie l'entrée (8) à la sortie (9) et est prévu sous forme d'un arc d'au moins 300°, de préférence 315°, de la circonférence extérieure de la roue (2).
  3. Agencement selon la revendication 2, caractérisé en ce que le chemin d'écoulement (5) ou l'entrée ou la sortie comprend une surface ayant une pluralité de fossettes.
  4. Agencement selon la revendication 2 ou 3, caractérisé en ce que le chemin d'écoulement (5) a un revêtement de surface, de préférence un revêtement en PTFE.
  5. Agencement selon l'une des revendications 2 à 4, caractérisé en ce qu'une partie de liaison entre l'entrée (8) ou la sortie (9) avec le chemin d'écoulement (5) est dépourvue de bordure.
  6. Agencement selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que le nombre d'aubes (23) de la première rangée et de la deuxième rangée du compresseur auxiliaire (1) est identique.
  7. Agencement selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que la première rangée (21) et la deuxième rangée (22) d'aubes du compresseur auxiliaire (1) sont décalées dans la direction circonférentielle de la moitié de la longueur d'un espacement (24) prévu entre deux aubes voisines (23), et de préférence décalées d'une longueur d'arc de 4°.
  8. Agencement selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que les aubes (23) du compresseur auxiliaire (1) sont des aubes radiales droites qui sont effilées dans une direction extérieure radiale.
  9. Agencement selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que la boîte (40) du compresseur auxiliaire (1) comprend une barrière intérieure (43) et une barrière extérieure (44), où une couche d'isolation électrostatique (45) est agencée entre les barrières intérieure et extérieure.
  10. Agencement selon l'une des revendications précédentes, dans lequel le compresseur auxiliaire (1) comprend en outre un arbre de roue (6) supporté par un premier palier (11) et un deuxième palier (12), où le premier palier (11) est un double palier.
  11. Agencement selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce qu'une distance entre les aubes voisines du compresseur auxiliaire (1) dans la direction circonférentielle a une longueur d'arc inférieure ou égale à 10°.
  12. Agencement selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce qu'une épaisseur de la paroi intermédiaire (20) de la roue (2) du compresseur auxiliaire (1) est la même qu'une épaisseur des aubes (23) au niveau de la partie la plus extérieure des aubes.
  13. Agencement selon l'une des revendications précédentes, comprenant
    - une alimentation en gaz d'étanchéité (106) fournissant le milieu gazeux provenant du compresseur (105),
    - dans lequel, dans l'alimentation en gaz d'étanchéité (106), un filtre (110), une première soupape d'arrêt (108), un orifice (111) et une soupape de non-retour (112) sont prévus, et
    - dans lequel une dérivation (107) comprenant une deuxième soupape d'arrêt (109) et le compresseur auxiliaire (1) est prévue, contournant la première soupape d'arrêt (108), l'orifice (111) et la soupape de non-retour (112).
