Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device for supporting a motor vehicle part extending in a main direction, of the type comprising a suspension part, comprising at least one suspension rod extending substantially in a suspension direction and intended for being suspended from a support element, and a catching part, comprising means for receiving the motor vehicle part
  • the invention is more particularly applicable to the transport and storage of bumpers assembled front or rear of a motor vehicle during their production and before they are placed on a motor vehicle.
  • Assembled bumpers are bulky parts that are not easily manipulated manually. It is known to transport them between different workstations by means of a support device carrying a bumper during assembly and running on a rail along the workstations. At the various workstations, operators intervene on the assembled bumper in order to add functional or decorative parts, such as hubcaps, optical supports, bumper extensions or other. At these workstations, the assembled bumpers are presented horizontally at the operators' hands in order to allow them to work without any significant constraint. When the assembled bumpers are out of line and are ready to be transported to a motor vehicle assembly plant, they are unhooked from the support device and placed in a container to be put in a truck.
  • the container is designed to receive bumpers assembled horizontally or vertically depending on the type of container.
  • an operator picks up the assembled bumper from his support device and carries it to the container where he places it in a ground-level housing.
  • This operation requires significant effort on the part of the operator who must wear the assembled bumper, cumbersome and fragile in terms of appearance, and must bend to place it in the container. To limit these efforts, two operators can move the assembled bumper, which requires significant manpower.
  • the operator does not need to bend to place the assembled bumper in the container, the means of reception of the assembled bumper being located in height, but it must rotating the assembled bumper between its horizontal position on the support device and its vertical position on the container, which also requires a lot of effort.
  • the placement of the assembled bumper in its transport container is an operation that is not ergonomic and requires significant effort on the part of one or more operators.
  • the document FR-2 928 904 discloses a support device that can be tilted to a vertical position for loading into a container.
  • One of the aims of the invention is to overcome these drawbacks by proposing a device for supporting a motor vehicle part facilitating the transport of this part and making it possible to optimize the placement of this part in a transport container to a part of a vehicle. automotive assembly plant.
  • the invention relates to a transport device of the aforementioned type, wherein the attachment portion is rotatably mounted about a hinge axis on the suspension part via a device of articulation, the attachment part being movable between a working position, in which the attachment portion extends in a direction of attachment substantially perpendicular to the suspension direction, and a storage position, in which the part gripping extends in a direction substantially parallel to the direction of suspension, the hinge axis being substantially perpendicular to the plane defined by the direction of suspension and the direction of attachment, characterized in that the articulation device comprises at least one bearing integral with the suspension rod and a shaft rotatably mounted in the bearing and integral with the attachment portion, the axis of rotation of said shaft extending axially; e of articulation.
  • Such a support device for tilting the part of a motor vehicle facilitates the work of operators who can intervene on the piece at different workstations having access to it in its working position and transport to a container in the positioning in its storage position without detaching the support device and without having to perform non-ergonomic movements to move from one position to another.
  • direction refers to usual directions of work and storage in a factory.
  • the "suspension” direction is a vertical direction and the “working” direction is a horizontal direction. It is understood, however, that these directions could be different if the support device is used in a different context than the treatment of assembled bumpers of a motor vehicle.
  • the terms “upper” and “lower” are defined relative to the vertical direction.
  • a support device 1 of a motor vehicle part 2 ( Fig. 4 and 5 ), essentially comprising a suspension part 4 suspended on a support element 6 and a catch part 8 intended to receive the motor vehicle part 2.
  • Such a support device 1 is more particularly used to transport assembled bumpers, front or rear, inside a factory producing these bumpers and to place them in a container 9 ( Fig. 6 ), which will be described later, with a view to transporting them to a motor vehicle assembly plant where these assembled bumpers will be mounted on motor vehicles.
  • Bumper means all motor vehicle parts of the bumper type, also known as “bumper”, “shield”, etc. More generally, the support device 1 is adapted to transport elongated parts, extending substantially in a main direction, such as an assembled bumper, a bumper skin, a dashboard body or other.
  • the support element 6 is for example formed, in known manner, by a suspension rail extending on the ceiling of the plant and following a path corresponding to the displacement of the bumper during assembly between the different workstations of it.
  • the suspension portion 4 is slidably mounted on the support member 6 to allow the movement of the part carried by the attachment portion 8 along the rail and thus through the factory.
  • the suspension portion 4 is formed by a suspension rod 10 extending mainly in a suspension direction S, substantially perpendicular to the direction in which the support element extends, and comprising at its upper end at least one slide 12, which is slidably mounted on the support member 6.
  • the suspension rod 10 is suspended from the support member and is movable in translation relative thereto by means of the slide 12. By hanging, it is understood that the suspension rod is not in contact with the ground and "hangs" from the support element 6.
  • the suspension rod 10 generally extends in the suspension direction S, but its shape can be adapted to the geometry of the part 2 to be transported.
  • the rod 10 has for example a bent shape arranged for the part 2 to be transported can be inscribed inside this shape in order to offer protection of the part 2, as represented on the Fig. 4 and 5 .
  • the shape of the rod 10 also makes it possible to determine the pitch between the successive pieces carried by successive support devices on the support member 6. More particularly, the lower end of the suspension rod 10 is formed by a recess 14 extending substantially parallel to the support member 6 and whose free end is provided with an abutment surface 16.
  • the length of the recess 14 and the abutment surface 16 are arranged so that the abutment surface 16 comes into position. contact with the suspension rod of a support device 1 arranged downstream or upstream when several parts are transported one after the other, to avoid contact between the part 2 carried by the support device 1 and the supporting device 1 downstream or upstream, which could deteriorate the part 2.
  • the hooking part 8 makes it possible to receive the piece 2 in order to suspend it from the support member 6.
  • the hooking part 8 comprises means 20 for receiving the piece 2 arranged to fix the piece 2 on the gripping part 8 when the part 2 cooperates with the receiving means 20.
  • These receiving means may be of any kind adapted to ensure a robust attachment of the part 2 on the support device 1.
  • the receiving means comprise in particular pins for cooperating with corresponding orifices formed in the room.
  • the receiving means may also comprise clips, for example clips distributed in the main direction of the part 2, in order to fix it to the support device 1 over its entire length, as shown in FIGS. Fig. 4 and 5 .
  • the attachment portion 8 is rotatably mounted on the suspension rod 10 by means of a hinge device 22 so as to allow the attachment portion 8, and thus the part 2 fixed on the part 8, to swing relative to the suspension rod.
  • the articulation device 22, more particularly represented on the Fig. 2 and 3 makes it possible to tilt the hook portion 8 between a storage position ( Fig. 2 , 4 and 5 ) and a working position ( Fig. 3 ).
  • the attachment portion 8 extends in a direction of attachment A substantially perpendicular to the direction of suspension, that is to say a direction substantially horizontal, so that the main direction of the part 2 carried by the attachment portion 8 is aligned with the direction of attachment and is oriented in the same way as when it will be mounted on the motor vehicle, in the case a bumper assembled, that is to say horizontally.
  • This working position also corresponds to a position in which the part 2 is substantially at the height of the hands of an operator, so that it can intervene on the part 2, for example to mount inserts, or can hang the part 2 on the attachment part 8 or remove it without having to perform non-ergonomic movement.
  • the attachment portion 8 extends in a direction substantially parallel to the direction of suspension, that is to say a substantially vertical direction, so that the main direction of the part 2 carried by the gripping portion 8 is aligned with the suspension direction.
  • the piece 2 extends vertically and occupies a smaller space, which facilitates its transport and improves the storage capacity of the parts in the plant or in the container 10, as will be described later.
  • the gripping portion 8 thus makes a quarter turn between the working position and the storage position about a hinge axis R of the hinge device 22 substantially perpendicular to the plane defined by the suspension direction S and the grip direction A, which allows to move the piece 2 between a position in which an operator can easily intervene on the piece, fix it on and remove it from the support device, and a position in which the piece 2 can be stored and transported without clutter.
  • the hinge device 22 comprises at least one bearing 24 fixed to the suspension rod and a shaft 26 rotatably mounted inside the bearing 24 and fixed to the attachment portion 8.
  • the hinge device 22 comprises two bearings 24 fixed to a support 28 secured to the suspension rod 10 and extending parallel to the axis of articulation R.
  • the shaft 26 extends along the axis articulation member R and is mounted in the bearings 24.
  • the retaining means 20 are mounted integral in rotation with the shaft 26, for example by means of a metal reinforcement 30 of suitable shape.
  • the axis of articulation R is substantially parallel to the direction in which the support element 6 extends, formed by a transport rail.
  • the hinge axis R is substantially perpendicular to the direction in which the support member 6 extends.
  • the armature 30, supporting the articulation device 22, can also be adapted to form a counterweight when the part 2 is hooked to the attachment portion 8 so that the tilting between the working position and the storage position and vice versa is done without particular effort of the operator, the rotation of the hinge device being assisted by the weight of the part and the counterweight.
  • an operator can very simply hang a workpiece 2 in the working position on the attachment part 8, which avoids having to turn the workpiece manually, then tilt it into the storage position by doing little work. 'efforts. Conversely, it can very simply move the piece from the storage position to the working position and unhook the part in the working position without having to turn it itself.
  • the support device 1 is therefore very ergonomic and limits the tiring or annoying movements of the operators involved in the workpiece 2.
  • the support device 1 comprises means for blocking the position of the attachment portion 8 in its working position or in its storage position.
  • These locking means comprise a first hook 32 secured to a support 34 integral with the suspension rod 10 and extending substantially perpendicularly to the support 28 of the bearings 24.
  • the first hook 32 comprises a cavity 36 extending in the direction of grip A and turned away from the hinge axis R, as shown in FIGS. Fig. 2 and 3 .
  • the locking means further comprises a second hook 38 integral with the suspension rod 10 and comprising a cavity 40 extending in the direction of suspension S and facing away from the hinge axis R, as shown in FIG. the Fig. 2 and 3 .
  • the first and second hooks 32 and 38 are arranged to cooperate with a lug 42 integral in rotation with the attachment portion 8 and adapted to engage in the cavity 36 of the first hook 32 when the attachment portion 8 is in its storage position Fig. 2 ) and to engage in the cavity 40 of the second hook 38 when the attachment portion 8 is in its working position ( Fig. 3 ).
  • a lug 42 integral in rotation with the attachment portion 8 and adapted to engage in the cavity 36 of the first hook 32 when the attachment portion 8 is in its storage position Fig. 2 ) and to engage in the cavity 40 of the second hook 38 when the attachment portion 8 is in its working position ( Fig. 3 ).
  • the support device 1 comprises means for unlocking the locking of the attachment portion.
  • These unlocking means comprise an actuating handle 44 able to disengage the pin 42 from a hook 32 or 38 when it is actuated.
  • the handle 44 is actuated for example by rotation and allows a single gesture to disengage the lug 42 of a hook and engage the rotation of the attachment portion 8 from one position to the other, the tilting is then done because of the weight of the part 2 and the counterweight.
  • Returning means (not shown) may be provided to return the lug to its locking position when the handle is released.
  • the lug 42 is automatically placed in the locking position when the handle is not actuated, which ensures that the grip portion 8 will be locked in one position or the other and that there is no risk of involuntary tipping of part 2.
  • the support device 1 further comprises at least one abutment element 46 arranged to bear against the part 2 when the attachment portion 8 is in the storage position, as shown in FIG. Fig. 5 .
  • This abutment element 46 is arranged to dampen the arrival of the workpiece in the storage position and prevent too violent tilting which could damage the workpiece 2.
  • the abutment element 46 is arranged to absorb vibrations between the workpiece. 2 and the support device 1, for example when the part 2 is transported in a container placed in a truck.
  • the stop element 46 is arranged projecting from the suspension rod 10 and its position depends on the shape of the part 2 and the position of the hinge pin (R).
  • the support device 1 described above is adapted to be placed in a container 9 ( Fig. 6 ) transporting parts 2 to a motor vehicle assembly plant.
  • This container 9 comprises a plurality of support member 6 for receiving the suspension rod 10 of a support device 1.
  • the container 9 is for example placed at the end of the assembly line of the part 2 so that at least one support element 6 is placed in the continuity of the chain transport rail, which makes it possible to pass the support device 1 directly into the container 9 without having to unhook this device from the transport rail.
  • a similar system may be provided in the motor vehicle assembly plant to directly pass the support device 1 from the support member 6 of the container 9 to a transport rail of the part 2 provided in the factory.
  • the container 9 is arranged to receive several support devices 1.
  • the container 9 is for example arranged to receive support devices 1 whose axis of articulation R is parallel to the support member 6 and devices support 1 whose axis of articulation R is perpendicular to the support member 6, so that the container 9 can carry two different types of parts.
  • Such an arrangement makes it possible to orient the motor vehicle parts differently in the container 9 and thus optimize the storage of these motor vehicle parts in the container 9. The number of parts transported in a single trip is increased, which improves the mounting rates of motor vehicles.
  • the support device 1 described above limits the manual transport and handling operations of the part 2, which can be cumbersome. Such a support device 1 is therefore more ergonomic and facilitates the transport of a workpiece 2 in a workpiece assembly plant and the loading and unloading of this workpiece 2 into a transport container 9 by limiting the operations of the workpiece. hooking and unhooking of the support device part 1.
