Claims (9)

  1. An insect screen, in particular for door, window and similar wall openings, that has a screen frame (7) that can be moved between an open and a closed position and in which a mechanical actuation device (5) is fitted for automatically bringing the screen back into the closed position, the actuation device (5) having a cable pull (14) guided around a pulley (13), at one end (16) of which a counterweight (17) that can move freely within the screen frame is suspended, characterised in that
    the other end (15) of the cable pull (14) is fastened to an upper guide rail (12) for the screen frame (7), the cable pull (14) being guided by a slider (18) that can be fastened within the screen frame (7) and that is provided with a bearing for the pulley (13) and with a U-shaped profile (20) for receiving a guide bar (21) of the upper guide rail (12).
  2. The insect screen according to Claim 1, characterised in that the automatic return of the screen in the open position of the screen frame (7) implemented by the actuation device (5) can be triggered when said screen frame is released.
  3. The insect screen according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the slider (18) is fitted, preferably with a mitre cut (19), in the upper corner region of the screen frame (7), while the longitudinal profile (8) encompasses the counterweight (17) guided within a profile groove (8').
  4. The insect screen according to Claim 1, characterised in that the counterweight (17) is preferably flocked and matched to the cross-section of the profile groove (8') of the longitudinal profile (8).
  5. The insect screen according to any of the preceding Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the cable pull (14) is formed by a nylon cord.
  6. The insect screen according to any of the preceding Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that in the closed position of the sliding door (2) the fixed end (15) of the cable pull (14) is above the sliding door on the side of this actuation device (5).
  7. The insect screen according to any of the preceding Claims 1 to 6, characterised in that in the closed position of the door the cable pull 14 runs at an angle to its normal approximately vertical extension so that it generates a force component acting on the pulley (13) in the closing direction.
  8. A method of producing an insect screen according to any of the preceding Claims 1 to 7, characterised in that an actuation device (5) that has a slider (18) and a counterweight (17) is fitted into the screen frames (7) composed of longitudinal profiles (8, 9) so as to automatically bring the screen back to the closed position, the slider (18) and the counterweight (17) being pushed into a profile groove (8') of a longitudinal profile (8, 9) before fastening the longitudinal profiles (8, 9) of the screen frame (7) to one another.
  9. The method according to Claim 8, characterised in that the slider (18) with the pulley (13) mounted rotatably on the latter and the counterweight (17) can be pushed into this profile groove (8') with the cable pull (14) fastened to it.
