Advantageous further training of the invention are set out in the dependent claims.

Anders als im Stand der Technik ist durch das ortsfeste Anordnen des Auflageelements und des Andruckelements keinBy providing a fixedly arranged support element on which a stacking unit stacks the notes of value of the value note stack to be paid out with their front and / or back sides lying on top of one another to form the value note stack and a likewise stationary pivotable pressure element which is arranged in a pivoted position while the notes of value are being stacked and which is arranged in a pivoted position for issuing the stack of banknotes, in which it presses the stack of banknotes against the support element, a simple, space-saving construction of the collecting unit is achieved. Unlike in the prior art, the fixed arrangement of the support element and the pressure element means that there is no

Movement of a transport trolley necessary. The collecting unit is arranged in particular in the immediate vicinity of the output compartment of the output unit, so that the stack of notes can be removed directly from the collecting unit by the operator of the device when the output compartment is open.

The stacking of the notes of value on the support element can in particular be a vertical stacking as well as a horizontal stacking of the notes of value on top of one another. Furthermore, the support element can also be arranged at an angle between 0 ° and 90 ° relative to the vertical.

The device for paying out notes of value is, in particular, an automatic cash dispenser. Alternatively, the device can also be a recycling cash machine in which both notes of value can be paid in and paid out. Furthermore, the device can be an automatic cash register system or an automatic safe cash register.

In the pivoted position, the pressure element is rotated by a preset angle about the axis of rotation relative to the pivoted position. This preset angle has in particular a value between 40 ° and 90 °. This achieves that due to the small preset angle by which the pressure element is pivoted, only little space is required, so that a compact, space-saving structure is achieved.

The stacking unit comprises in particular at least one stacker wheel, preferably several stacker wheels, with the help of which the notes of value can be stacked on the support element in a simple manner. Safe, reliable and simple stacking is achieved in this way.

The support element comprises several belts which contact at least one of the notes of value of the stack of notes to be paid out and which can be driven by a drive unit to output the stack of notes through the output opening of the output unit and which transport the stack of notes in the direction of the output unit. In this way it is achieved in a simple manner that the stack of notes is presented to an operator through the dispensing opening and can be easily removed by the operator without having to move components of the collecting unit in the direction of the dispensing opening. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, two belts are provided so that uniform transport of the value note stack is achieved over the entire length of the value note stack and, in particular, twisting of the value note stack is avoided.

The collecting unit comprises a pivotable arranged limiting element that during stacking the bank of value is arranged in a closed position in which it closes a return transport of the stack of bank notes in a return transport path. In this way it is achieved that the notes of value cannot slide unintentionally into the return transport path and can be safely offered to the operator. It is particularly advantageous if in each case one edge of the banknote of the stack of banknotes contacts the delimiting element so that a secure, reliable position of the banknotes of the stack of banknotes is achieved.

An adjustment unit swivels the delimiting element for transporting a stack of banknotes into the return transport path from the closed position to an open position, so that the stack of banknotes can be transported by the collecting unit into the return transport path. If a stack of banknotes is not removed by the operator who requested it, this stack of banknotes must be transported away from the collecting unit via the return path so that the collecting unit can collect and stack the banknotes to be paid out for further payouts. By moving the delimitation element from the closed to the open position, such a return transport of the stack of notes that has not been removed can be carried out in a simple manner. Even in the case of multiple withdrawals of notes of value, for which it is not ensured that the operator receives the desired number and / or composition of notes of value, the stack of notes of value must be transported back again via the return transport path. This stack of banknotes is also transported away in a simple manner via the opened delimitation element. The notes of value transported back via the return transport path are in particular stored in a so-called reject and retract cassette provided for this purpose.

The belts of the support element are driven in particular in the opposite direction than the direction in which they are driven by the drive unit for outputting the stack of notes to transport the stack of banknotes from the collecting unit into the return transport path. In this way, the return transport of the value note stack is achieved in a simple manner without the need for additional transport elements within the collecting unit.

A separating unit is arranged in the return transport path, which separates the notes of value from the stack of notes before they are transported further into the reject and retract cassette.

The notes of value to be paid out are in particular removed from at least one money cassette arranged in a safe. The removed notes of value are fed to the feed transport arrangement via a transfer opening of the safe along a transport path.

In Figure 1 a schematic representation of a section of a device designed as an automated teller machine 10 for paying out notes of value is shown. The automated teller machine 10 comprises a so-called head module 12 and a safe 14. In the safe 14 there is at least one, preferably several, in Figure 1 Cash cassettes, not shown, in which the notes of value to be paid out with the aid of the automated teller machine 10 are stored.

An output unit 16 is arranged in the head module 12 of the automated teller machine 10 and comprises an operating unit via which an operator of the automated teller machine 10 can enter a payment request. The notes of value to be paid out are issued to the operator via an output opening 18 in the form of a stack of notes of value 54. The dispensing opening 18 can be closed with a flap 20 which can be pivoted in the direction of the arrow P1. To pay out the value note stack 54, the flap 20 is opened in the direction of the arrow P1 so that the operator can remove the value note stack 54 through the payout opening 18.

After the operator has entered a payment request via the output unit 18, the notes of value required for the payment are transferred to the cash cassettes with the aid of separation modules removed and fed to a transport path. The transport path comprises a transfer module 22 with the aid of which the notes of value to be paid out removed from the cash cassettes are transferred from the safe 14 to a feed transport arrangement 26 through a transfer slot 24. The feed transport arrangement 26 comprises a multiplicity of belts mounted on rollers, which can be driven and with the aid of which the removed notes of value can be fed to a collecting unit 28. One of these belts is designated, for example, with the reference number 30, and one of the rollers is designated, for example, with the reference number 32.

The feed transport arrangement 26 comprises a first acceptance mechanism 34 with the aid of which the notes of value fed from the safe 14 are accepted by the feed transport arrangement 26. Furthermore, the feed transport arrangement 26 comprises a second receiving mechanism 36, with the aid of which notes of value, as in FIGS Figures 2 to 4 shown, can be received by the safe 14 when the safe 14 is equipped with cash cassettes from the rear, ie from the side facing away from the output unit 16. In Figure 1 in contrast, the cash machine 10 is arranged in such a way that the cash cassettes in the safe 14 are fed in from the front, ie from the side on which the output unit 16 is also arranged. In this case, the notes of value are fed from the transfer module 22 to the feed transport arrangement 26 exclusively via the first acceptance mechanism 34.

In Figure 2 is a schematic perspective illustration of an ATM according to a second embodiment of the invention. Elements with the same structure or function have the same reference symbols. In this second embodiment of the invention, the safe 14 is equipped with cash cassettes from behind so that the notes of value to be paid out are fed to the feed transport arrangement 26 with the aid of a transfer module 42 via the second receiving mechanism 36.

The notes of value to be paid out are fed to the collecting unit 28 with the aid of the feed transport arrangement 26. The collecting unit 28 comprises a plurality of stacker wheels arranged on a shaft 44, of which in FIG Figure 2 one is designated by the reference numeral 46 by way of example. The stacker wheel 46 comprises four wings 48, a note of value supplied via the feed transport arrangement 26 being clamped between two adjacent wings 48 and being moved along with it when the stacker wheel 46 is rotated in the direction of arrow P2. In an alternative embodiment of the invention, the stacker wheels 46 can also comprise more or fewer than four blades 48.

After the stacker wheels 46 have rotated through a preset angle in the direction of the arrow P2, the notes of value held between the wings 48 are each over in Figure 2 Stripping elements, not shown, are stripped off and stacked on a support element 50. Here, the notes of value are stacked on top of one another in such a way that their front and / or back sides lie one on top of the other are stacked, with the note supplied first contacts the support element 50. One of the notes of value to be paid out is designated, for example, with the reference number 52, and the stack of notes of value to be paid out is designated with the reference number 54.

The banknotes 52 of the stack of banknotes 54 contact with one of their edges, preferably each with one of their longitudinal edges, a delimitation element 58 pivotably mounted about an axis 56, which prevents the banknotes 52 from slipping into a return transport path 60, provided that the delimitation element 58 is as shown in FIG Figure 2 shown is arranged in a closed position.

In addition, the collecting unit comprises a pressure element 62, with the aid of which the notes of value 52 of the stack of notes of value 54 can be pressed against the support element 50 for payment. The in Figure 2 The first operating state shown, the pressure element 62 is arranged in a pivoted position, so that the notes of value 52 stripped off with the aid of the stripping elements can be stacked on the support element 50 to form the pile of notes of value 54.

In Figure 3 FIG. 14 is a section of a schematic representation of the automated teller machine 40 according to FIG Figure 2 shown in a second operating state. After all banknotes 52 of the banknote stack 54 to be paid out are on the support element 50 are stacked, the pressure element 62 is pivoted from the pivoted position into a pivoted position in which it presses the stack of notes 54 against the support element 50.

The support element 50 comprises several belts which can be driven via a drive unit and with the aid of which the notes of value can be transported in the direction of the arrow P4 in the direction of the dispensing opening 18. The pressure element 62 serves in particular to produce the pressure necessary for reliable transport of the value note stack 54 in the direction of the arrow P4.

The support element 52 comprises at least two belts, so that a uniform transport of the value note stack 54 over the entire width of the notes of value 52 is guaranteed. In addition to the belts of the support element 50, the pressure element 62 also comprises several belts, with the aid of which the notes of value 52 of the stack of notes of value 54 can be transported in the direction of the output opening 18. As in Figure 4 As shown, the flap 20 of the dispensing unit 14 is pivoted in the direction of the arrow P1 in order to dispense the stack of notes 54, so that the operator can access the dispensing opening 18. After the flap 20 has been pivoted, the value note stack 54 is transported so far in the direction of the arrow P4 that it can be easily removed by the operator. If the banknote stack 54 is not activated by the operator within a preset time interval or taken from another person, it is transported back against the direction of arrow P4. For this purpose, the belts of the support element 50 and the belts of the pressure element 62 are driven in the opposite direction in which they were driven in the direction of the arrow P4 for transporting the value note stack 54. After the stack of banknotes 54 no longer protrudes from the dispensing opening 18, the flap 20 is closed again so that access to the internal elements of the automated teller machine 40 is not possible.

The stack of notes 54 that has not been removed is then fed back to the safe 14 by the collecting unit 28 via the return transport path 60. In particular, a so-called reject and retract cassette is provided in the safe 14, in which such stacks of banknotes 54 that have not been removed are stored.

Even in the event that a multiple withdrawal occurs when removing the notes of value 52 to be paid out from the cash cassettes, the notes of value 52 of the stack of notes 54 must be fed back to the safe 14 via the return transport path 60, since the multiple withdrawals cannot guarantee that the operator the desired amount of money is paid out.

For the return transport of the notes of value via the return transport path 60, the delimiting element 58 is closed by the pivoted to an open position. In Figure 5 a schematic representation of the ATM 20 is shown, in which the limiting element 58 is arranged in the open position. By driving the belts of the support element 50 and / or the pressure element 62 against the arrow P2 and / or by driving the belts 70, 72 delimiting the return transport path 62 in the direction of the arrows P5 and P6, the value note stack 52 is fed to a separating unit 74. With the aid of the separating unit 74, the notes of value 52 of the stack of notes are separated again, so that the notes of value 52 can be individually fed back to the safe 14 via the transfer module 42.
