Claims (7)

  1. A ground covering comprising on an underlying ground (7) placed mat-like base (1) composed of a plate-shaped main body (2) and which is provided with apertures (3), and a granular bulk material, which is applied to the mat-like base (1), the granular bulk material forming a walk-on surface of the ground covering, and the mat-like base (1) being provided with studs (6) which are mounted onto webs (4) bounding the apertures (3) and which are oriented upwardly against the granular bulk material, wherein the studs (6) each form the corner points of a substantially equilateral polygon, the polygons being joined to one another without gaps, characterised in that the bulk material consists of pieces of stone (9) which have a particle size B which corresponds at least to half the length A of one side of the polygon, and in that the webs (4) are parallel running longitudinal webs (4), for strengthening the mat-like base (1), wherein the mat-like base (1) is rollable transversely with respect to the longitudinal webs.
  2. A ground covering according to claim 1, characterised in that the apertures (3) are formed by rows of holes which run between the longitudinal webs (4).
  3. A ground covering according to any one of claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the mat-like base (1) together with the studs (6) is formed of a weather-resistant synthetic material.
  4. A ground covering according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that a non-woven fabric shaped mat (8) is placed between the underlying ground (7) and a bottom surface of the mat-like base (1).
  5. A ground covering according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the polygons are each composed of a square and that four studs (6a, 6b, 6c, 6d) form the corner points of a square.
  6. A ground covering according to claim 5, characterised in that the pieces of stone (10) have a particle size diameter B, which substantially corresponds to the side length A of the square.
  7. A ground covering according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the pieces of stone (9) are formed of pebble stones (10).
