- FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing a call registration device of an elevator in the present invention.
- reference numeral 1 denotes a car which ascends and descends in an elevator shaft
- reference numeral 2 denotes an elevator hall in which the car 1 stops
- reference numeral 3 denotes a call registration device provided in the car 1
- reference numeral 4 denotes a call registration device provided in each hall 2
- reference numeral 5 denotes a controller which controls the operation of the whole elevator such as running control of the car 1.
- the call registration devices 3 and 4 are each connected to the controller 5 by a communication path 6.
- the call registration device 4 may be installed in all halls 2 where the car 1 stops or may also be installed only in one or more prescribed halls 2. In the case where the call registration device 3 is installed in the car 1, it is not always necessary that a call registration device 4 having the function of call registration by voice be installed.
- the call registration device 3 is a device by use of which an elevator passenger performs call registration by voice in the car 1.
- the call registration device 3 is such that the essential part thereof is composed of, for example, a voice input device 7, a voice recognition device 8, a call control section 9, a notification unit 10, and a voice output device 11.
- the voice input device 7 is a device by use of which a passenger in the car 1 inputs voices, and is composed of, for example, a microphone and the like. That is, a passenger who wants to perform call registration by voice after boarding the car 1, inputs voice information such as his or her destination floor from this voice input device 7.
- the voice recognition device 8 has the function of performing prescribed voice recognition processing on the basis of a voice signal inputted from the voice input device 7 and identifying the destination floor of a passenger from the result of the processing.
- the voice recognition function of the voice recognition device 8 may be of any method.
- the voice recognition device 8 makes a determination as to whether or not there is a voice signal which is in agreement with a voice signal which has already been registered among the voice signals inputted from the voice input device 7, and when there is a voice signal in agreement, the voice recognition device 8 identifies the destination floor corresponding to the recorded voice signal as the destination floor of a passenger. Specific functions of this voice recognition device 8 will be described later.
- the control section 9 has the function of performing call registration on the basis of the destination floor of a passenger identified by the voice recognition device 8.

- the controller 5 After performing a call registration, the controller 5 performs appropriate car arrangement on the basis of the destination floor of a passenger identified by the voice recognition device 8.
- the notification unit 10 is intended for generating voices and operation sounds, and is composed of, for example, a speaker.
- the voice output device 11 has the function of controlling the notification unit 10 and providing prescribed voice guidance to a passenger in the car 1. For example, voice information is stored beforehand in the voice output device 11, and the voice output device 11 takes out appropriate voice information as required, thereby causing the contents thereof to be provided from the notification unit 10. Specific functions of this voice output device 11 will be described later.
- the above-described voice recognition device 8 is composed of a microprocessor, a memory and the like.
- the voice recognition device 8 may have a configuration in which a memory is incorporated in a microprocessor.
- all or part of the functions of the voice input device 7, the call control section 9 and the voice output device 11 may be incorporated in a microprocessor. This configuration enables the call registration device 3 to be composed of more general parts and permits a reduction of cost.
- Figures 2 and 3 are flowcharts showing the actions of the call registration device of an elevator in the first embodiment according to the present invention.
- Figures 2 and 3 show a series of processing flows of the call registration device 3.
- the processing function of voice recognition by the voice recognition device 8 is suspended by setting the switch of the voice input device 7 at OFF or by other means.
- the call registration device 3 makes a determination as to whether or not the door has opened fully by receiving status information on the elevator from the controller 5 and the like.
- the call registration device 3 causes the voice output device 11 to provide a prescribed first guidance from the notification unit 10 (S102).
- the voice output device 11 causes simple electronic sounds composed of prescribed constant sounds, such as a "beep", to be generated from the notification unit 10 as the first guidance.
- the call registration device 3 makes the processing function of voice recognition effective, and causes the voice recognition device 8 to start voice recognition processing (S103). Specifically, after the start of voice recognition processing, first, the voice recognition device 8 makes a determination as to whether or not a voice has been inputted to the voice input device 7 (S104). A passenger who boarded the car 1 says his or her destination floor, whereby the voice is inputted to the voice input device 7 (Yes in S104) and then the voice recognition device 8 recognizes the destination floor of the passenger from the inputted voice signal (S105). The control section 9 notifies the controller 5 of the destination floor recognized by the voice recognition device 8 (S106).
- the call registration device 3 After giving notification to the controller 5 in S106, the call registration device 3 temporarily finishes the voice recognition processing by the voice recognition device 8 (S107). Also, after causing the voice recognition processing to be finished, the call registration device 3 causes the voice output device 11 to make notification about a registered floor name (S108). The voice output device 11 causes concrete recorded contents, for example, "The XX floor has been registered" to be announced by voice from the notification unit 10. After that, the call registration device 3 returns to the processing in S102.
- the call registration device 3 makes a determination as to the existence or nonexistence of a door closing schedule on the basis of the status information on the elevator inputted from the controller 5 and the like (S 109). Incidentally, if in S 109 a door closing schedule cannot be detected, the call registration device 3 returns to the processing in S 104 and comes to a voice input waiting condition.
- the call registration device 3 finishes the voice recognition processing by the voice recognition device 8 before the start of the door closing action (S110). Also, the call registration device 3 causes the voice output device 11 to provide a prescribed second guidance from the notification unit 10 after the voice recognition processing is caused to be finished (S111). At this time, the voice output device 11 causes simple electronic sounds composed of repetition of prescribed constant sounds, such as "beep beep", to be generated from the notification unit 10 as the second guidance.
- the call registration device 3 makes a determination as to whether or not the registration of a call has been performed in the period from the start of voice recognition processing in S103 to the finish of the processing in S110 (S113). Incidentally, in the case where the registration of a call was performed in the above-described period, that is, in the case where in S 106 a request for the registration of a call was outputted to the controller 5, the call registration device 3 finishes the processing.
- the call registration device 3 causes the voice output device 11 to provide a prescribed third guidance from the notification unit 10 (S114).
- the voice output device 11 causes contents which are more detailed than in the first guidance and second guidance to be provided from the notification unit 10.
- the voice output device 11 causes the notification unit 10 to announce by voice contents, such as "Please say the floor you want to go” or "Voice recognition is available in this elevator. Please say the floor you want to go, for example, the fourth floor", as the third guidance.
- the call registration device 3 causes the voice recognition processing by the voice recognition device 8 to be started again and makes a determination as to whether or not a voice has been inputted (S115, S116).
- the voice recognition device 8 recognizes the destination floor of the passenger from an inputted voice signal and causes the call control section 9 to make the notification about this recognized destination floor (S117, S118).
- the call registration device 3 After giving notification to the controller 5 in S118, the call registration device 3 causes the voice recognition processing by the voice recognition device 8 to be finished (S119). Also, after the finish of the voice recognition processing, the call registration device 3 causes the voice output device 11 to make notification about the registered floor name (S120). For example, the voice output device 11 causes concrete registered contents, for example, "The XX floor has been registered" to be announced by voice from the notification unit 10. After that, the call registration device 3 finished the processing.
- the call registration device 3 makes a determination as to whether or not a prescribed given time has elapsed since the restart of voice recognition processing (S121). Incidentally, if in S121 a lapse of the above-described given time cannot be detected, the call registration device 3 returns to the processing in S116 and comes to a voice input waiting condition.
- the call registration device 3 causes the voice recognition processing by the voice recognition device 8 to be finished (S122). Also, after causing the voice recognition processing to be finished, the call registration device 3 causes the voice output device 11 to provide a prescribed fourth guidance from the notification unit 10 (S123). At this time, the voice output device 11 causes simple electronic sounds composed of repetition of prescribed constant sounds, such as "beep beep", to be generated from the notification unit 10 as the fourth guidance in the same manner as in the above-described second guidance. After that, the call registration device 3 finishes the processing.
- the call registration device 3 installed in the car 1 it is possible to appropriately notify passengers of information related to call registration by a simple and inexpensive configuration. That is, because it is possible to provide information as to whether or not call registration by voice can be performed by each guidance from the notification unit 10, it is possible for a passenger to appropriately judge the period in which call registration can be performed (the start timing and stop timing of voice recognition) by listening to the guidance.
- the period in which a passenger can perform call registration immediately after boarding the car 1 is limited to the period in which the door is fully open. If detailed contents are provided in the first guidance and the second guidance, the period in which a passenger can register a call by voice becomes short, lowering the convenience or the stop time of the car 1 at the hall 2 becomes long, lowering the operation efficiency. By composing the first guidance and the second guidance by short electronic sounds alone, it becomes possible to solve these problems.
- voice recognition processing is performed by avoiding the door opening and closing periods and the period of notification from the notification unit 10. For this reason, it is possible to positively prevent calls from being wrongly registered due to noises generated by the notification from the notification unit 10 and door opening and closing actions.
- the above-described functions of the call registration device 3 can be used, for example, when a passenger boards the car 1 alone. For this reason, it is possible to adopt a configuration in which a boarding detection device (not shown) for detecting that a passenger has boarded the car alone is installed in the call registration device 3 and the processing shown in Figures 2 and 3 is carried out only in the case where single boarding is detected by this boarding detection device.
- a destination floor button and the like by use of which a passenger registers a call may be separately installed in the car 1 along with the above-described call registration device 3.
- the call registration device 4 is a device by use of which an elevator passenger performs call registration by voice in the hall 2. As details are shown in Figure 1 , the call registration device 4 is such that the essential part thereof is composed of, for example, a voice input device 12, a voice recognition device 13, a call control section 14, a notification unit 15, a voice output device 16, and a human detection device 17.
- the basic functions of the devices and the like denoted by 12 to 16 are the same as those of corresponding devices and the like 7 to 11 provided in the call registration device 3, the descriptions thereof are omitted and only concrete functions will be described later.
- the human detection device 17 has the function of detecting persons present in a prescribed detection range. Specifically, the human detection device 17 is provided in order to detect a passenger who is going to input voices from the voice input device 12, and the detection range is set as a prescribed range in the vicinity of the voice input device 12. For example, the human detection device 17 detects the presence of a passenger in the case where a person continues to stand before the voice input device 12 for a prescribed time.
- the detection method for the human detection device 17 may be any method.
- the human detection device 17 emits light or radio waves and receives the light or radio waves which are reflected and return, whereby the human detection device 17 detects the presence or absence of a passenger.
- a camera (not shown) is installed in the hall 2, whereby the presence or absence of a passenger is detected by analyzing the image of the camera.
- Figures 4 and 5 are flowcharts showing the actions of the call registration device of an elevator in the second embodiment according to the present invention.
- Figures 4 and 5 show a series of processing flows of the call registration device 4.
- the processing function of voice recognition by the voice recognition device 13 is suspended by setting the switch of the voice input device 12 at OFF or by other means.
- the call registration device 4 is constantly making a determination as to whether or not the presence of a passenger is detected by the human detection device 17 (S201).
- the human detection device 17 detects the presence of a passenger in the case where the passenger continues to stand in front of the voice input device 12 for a very short prescribed time (Yes in S201)
- the call registration device 4 causes the voice output device 16 to provide a prescribed first guidance to be provided from the notification unit 15 (S202).
- the voice output device 16 causes simple electronic sounds composed of prescribed constant sounds, such as "beep", to be generated from the notification unit 15 as the first guidance.
- the call registration device 4 makes the processing function of voice recognition effective, and causes the voice recognition device 13 to start voice recognition processing (S203).
- each processing in S204 to S208 is the same as each processing shown in S 104 to S 108 in Figure 2 .
- the call registration device 4 After making notification about the floor name registered in S208, the call registration device 4 returns to the processing in S201.
- the call registration device 4 makes a determination as to whether or not a prescribed given time has elapsed since the start of the voice recognition processing (S209). If in S209 the lapse of the above-described given time cannot be detected, furthermore, the call registration device 4 makes a determination as to whether or not the presence of a passenger is being detected by the human detection device 17 (S210). Incidentally, when in S210 the presence of a passenger continues to be detected (Yes in S210), the call registration device 4 returns to the processing in S204.
- the call registration device 4 finishes the voice recognition processing by the voice recognition device 13 (S211). Also, after causing the voice recognition processing to be finished, the call registration device 4 causes the voice output device 16 to provide a prescribed second guidance from the notification unit 15 (S212). At this time, the voice output device 16 causes simple electronic sounds composed of repetition of prescribed constant sounds, such as "beep beep", to be generated from the notification unit 15 as the second guidance. After that, the call registration device 4 returns to the processing in S201.
- the call registration device 4 When the given time has elapsed without voice input to the voice input device 12 since the start of the voice recognition processing in S203 (Yes in S209), the call registration device 4 temporarily finishes the voice recognition processing by the voice recognition device 13 (S213). After causing the voice recognition processing to be finished temporarily, the call registration device 4 causes the voice output device 16 to provide the prescribed third guidance from the notification unit 15 (S214). At this time, in the third guidance the voice output device 16 causes contents which are more detailed than in the first guidance and second guidance to be provided from the notification unit 15. For example, the voice output device 16 causes the notification unit 15 to announce by voice contents, such as "Please say the floor you want to go" or "Voice recognition is available in this elevator. Please say the floor you want to go, for example, the fourth floor" as the third guidance.
- the call registration device 4 After the third guidance is provided in S214, the call registration device 4 causes the voice recognition processing by the voice recognition device 13 to be started again and makes a determination as to whether or not a voice has been inputted (S215, S216). Incidentally, each processing in S217 to S220 is the same as each processing in S117 to S120 of Figure 3 . After making notification about the floor name registered in S220, the call registration device 4 returns to the processing in S201.
- the call registration device 4 makes a determination as to whether or not a prescribed given time has elapsed since the restart of the voice recognition processing in S215 (S221). If in S221 a lapse of the above-described given time cannot be detected, furthermore, the call registration device 4 makes a determination as to whether or not the presence of a passenger has been detected by the human detection device 17 (S222). Incidentally, when the presence of a passenger continues to be detected in S222 (Yes in S222), the call registration device 4 returns to the processing in S216.
- the call registration device 4 causes the voice recognition processing by the voice recognition device 13 to be finished (S223). Also in the case where the human detection device 17 ceases to detect the presence of a passenger before the given time elapses after the restart of the voice recognition processing (No in S222), the call registration device 4 causes the voice recognition processing to be finished (S223).
- the call registration device 4 After causing the voice recognition processing to be finished in S223, the call registration device 4 causes the voice output device 16 to provide a prescribed fourth guidance from the notification unit 15 (S224). At this time, the voice output device 16 causes simple electronic sounds composed of repetition of prescribed constant sounds, such as "beep bleep", to be generated from the notification unit 15 as the fourth guidance in the same manner as in the above-described second guidance. After that, the call registration device 4 returns to the processing in S201.
- this configuration enables the same effect as in the first embodiment to be produced.
- the call registration device of an elevator of the present invention can be applied to a call registration device of an elevator by use of which an elevator passenger performs the registration of calls by voice.

In the case where thecall registration device 3 is installed in the car 1, it is not always necessary that acall registration device 4 having the function of call registration by voice be installed. - The
call registration device 3 is a device by use of which an elevator passenger performs call registration by voice in the car 1. Thecall registration device 3 is such that the essential part thereof is composed of, for example, a voice input device 7, avoice recognition device 8, acall control section 9, anotification unit 10, and a voice output device 11.
- The
voice recognition device 8 has the function of performing prescribed voice recognition processing on the basis of a voice signal inputted from the voice input device 7 and identifying the destination floor of a passenger from the result of the processing. Incidentally, the voice recognition function of thevoice recognition device 8 may be of any method. For example, thevoice recognition device 8 makes a determination as to whether or not there is a voice signal which is in agreement with a voice signal which has already been registered among the voice signals inputted from the voice input device 7, and when there is a voice signal in agreement, thevoice recognition device 8 identifies the destination floor corresponding to the recorded voice signal as the destination floor of a passenger.
Specific functions of thisvoice recognition device 8 will be described later. - The
control section 9 has the function of performing call registration on the basis of the destination floor of a passenger identified by thevoice recognition device 8. When a destination floor is identified by thevoice recognition device 8, thecall control section 9 outputs a registration request corresponding to the result of the identification to thecontroller 5 and causes thecontroller 5 to perform a call registration. After performing a call registration, thecontroller 5 performs appropriate car arrangement on the basis of the destination floor of a passenger identified by thevoice recognition device 8. - The
notification unit 10 is intended for generating voices and operation sounds, and is composed of, for example, a speaker. - The voice output device 11 has the function of controlling the
notification unit 10 and providing prescribed voice guidance to a passenger in the car 1. For example, voice information is stored beforehand in the voice output device 11, and the voice output device 11 takes out appropriate voice information as required, thereby causing the contents thereof to be provided from thenotification unit 10.
Specific functions of this voice output device 11 will be described later. - Incidentally, it is also possible that the above-described
voice recognition device 8 is composed of a microprocessor, a memory and the like. Also, thevoice recognition device 8 may have a configuration in which a memory is incorporated in a microprocessor. Furthermore, all or part of the functions of the voice input device 7, thecall control section 9 and the voice output device 11 may be incorporated in a microprocessor. This configuration enables thecall registration device 3 to be composed of more general parts and permits a reduction of cost. - Next, referring to also
Figures 2 and3 , a description will be given of concrete actions of thecall registration device 3 of the above-described configuration.Figures 2 and3 are flowcharts showing the actions of the call registration device of an elevator in the first embodiment according to the present invention.Figures 2 and3 show a series of processing flows of thecall registration device 3. - In the
call registration device 3, in normal times the processing function of voice recognition by thevoice recognition device 8 is suspended by setting the switch of the voice input device 7 at OFF or by other means. - First, the
call registration device 3 makes a determination as to whether or not the door has opened fully by receiving status information on the elevator from thecontroller 5 and the like. When the car 1 stops at thehall 2 where a passenger waits and thecall registration device 3 detects that the door has opened fully (S101), thecall registration device 3 causes the voice output device 11 to provide a prescribed first guidance from the notification unit 10 (S102). At this time, the voice output device 11 causes simple electronic sounds composed of prescribed constant sounds, such as a "beep", to be generated from thenotification unit 10 as the first guidance. - When in S102 the notification about the first guidance is made, next, the
call registration device 3 makes the processing function of voice recognition effective, and causes thevoice recognition device 8 to start voice recognition processing (S103).
Specifically, after the start of voice recognition processing, first, thevoice recognition device 8 makes a determination as to whether or not a voice has been inputted to the voice input device 7 (S104). A passenger who boarded the car 1 says his or her destination floor, whereby the voice is inputted to the voice input device 7 (Yes in S104) and then thevoice recognition device 8 recognizes the destination floor of the passenger from the inputted voice signal (S105). Thecontrol section 9 notifies thecontroller 5 of the destination floor recognized by the voice recognition device 8 (S106). - After giving notification to the
controller 5 in S106, thecall registration device 3 temporarily finishes the voice recognition processing by the voice recognition device 8 (S107). Also, after causing the voice recognition processing to be finished, thecall registration device 3 causes the voice output device 11 to make notification about a registered floor name (S108). The voice output device 11 causes concrete recorded contents, for example, "The XX floor has been registered" to be announced by voice from thenotification unit 10. After that, thecall registration device 3 returns to the processing in S102. - On the other hand, in the case where no voice is inputted to the voice input device 7 after the start of voice recognition processing (No in S104), the
call registration device 3 makes a determination as to the existence or nonexistence of a door closing schedule on the basis of the status information on the elevator inputted from thecontroller 5 and the like (S 109). Incidentally, if in S 109 a door closing schedule cannot be detected, thecall registration device 3 returns to the processing inS 104 and comes to a voice input waiting condition. - On the other hand, when in S101 time elapses without voice input after the full opening of the door and the condition in which a door closing action is started is reached within a prescribed time (Yes in S109), the
call registration device 3 finishes the voice recognition processing by thevoice recognition device 8 before the start of the door closing action (S110). Also, thecall registration device 3 causes the voice output device 11 to provide a prescribed second guidance from thenotification unit 10 after the voice recognition processing is caused to be finished (S111). At this time, the voice output device 11 causes simple electronic sounds composed of repetition of prescribed constant sounds, such as "beep beep", to be generated from thenotification unit 10 as the second guidance. - When the door is closed fully after the stop of the voice recognition processing (S112), the
call registration device 3 makes a determination as to whether or not the registration of a call has been performed in the period from the start of voice recognition processing in S103 to the finish of the processing in S110 (S113). Incidentally, in the case where the registration of a call was performed in the above-described period, that is, in the case where in S 106 a request for the registration of a call was outputted to thecontroller 5, thecall registration device 3 finishes the processing. - On the other hand, in the case where no call has been registered in the above-described period (No in S113), the
call registration device 3 causes the voice output device 11 to provide a prescribed third guidance from the notification unit 10 (S114). At this time, in the third guidance the voice output device 11 causes contents which are more detailed than in the first guidance and second guidance to be provided from thenotification unit 10. For example, the voice output device 11 causes thenotification unit 10 to announce by voice contents, such as "Please say the floor you want to go" or "Voice recognition is available in this elevator. Please say the floor you want to go, for example, the fourth floor", as the third guidance. - After the third guidance is provided in S 114, the
call registration device 3 causes the voice recognition processing by thevoice recognition device 8 to be started again and makes a determination as to whether or not a voice has been inputted (S115, S116). When a passenger in the car 1 says his or he destination floor, whereby a voice is inputted to the voice input device 7 (Yes in S116), thevoice recognition device 8 recognizes the destination floor of the passenger from an inputted voice signal and causes thecall control section 9 to make the notification about this recognized destination floor (S117, S118). - After giving notification to the
controller 5 in S118, thecall registration device 3 causes the voice recognition processing by thevoice recognition device 8 to be finished (S119). Also, after the finish of the voice recognition processing, thecall registration device 3 causes the voice output device 11 to make notification about the registered floor name (S120). For example, the voice output device 11 causes concrete registered contents, for example, "The XX floor has been registered" to be announced by voice from thenotification unit 10. After that, thecall registration device 3 finished the processing. - On the other hand, in the case where voice input to the voice input device 7 is not performed even after the voice recognition processing is started again in S115 (No in S116), in S115 the
call registration device 3 makes a determination as to whether or not a prescribed given time has elapsed since the restart of voice recognition processing (S121). Incidentally, if in S121 a lapse of the above-described given time cannot be detected, thecall registration device 3 returns to the processing in S116 and comes to a voice input waiting condition. - On the other hand, when the given time elapses without voice input to the voice input device 7 after the restart of the voice recognition processing in S115 (Yes in S121), the
call registration device 3 causes the voice recognition processing by thevoice recognition device 8 to be finished (S122). Also, after causing the voice recognition processing to be finished, thecall registration device 3 causes the voice output device 11 to provide a prescribed fourth guidance from the notification unit 10 (S123). At this time, the voice output device 11 causes simple electronic sounds composed of repetition of prescribed constant sounds, such as "beep beep", to be generated from thenotification unit 10 as the fourth guidance in the same manner as in the above-described second guidance. After that, thecall registration device 3 finishes the processing. - Incidentally, in S 121, in place of making a determination as to whether or not a given time has elapsed, it is possible to make a determination as to whether there is a schedule for the stop of the car 1 or there is a schedule for the notification from the
notification unit 10, or the like. In this case, after detecting the schedule, the processing by thecall registration device 3 proceeds to the processing in S122. That is, before the car 1 stops next at thehall 2, or before notification about the next guidance is made from thenotification unit 10, thecall registration device 3 finishes the voice recognition processing by thevoice recognition device 8. - According to the first embodiment of the present invention, in the
call registration device 3 installed in the car 1, it is possible to appropriately notify passengers of information related to call registration by a simple and inexpensive configuration. That is, because it is possible to provide information as to whether or not call registration by voice can be performed by each guidance from thenotification unit 10, it is possible for a passenger to appropriately judge the period in which call registration can be performed (the start timing and stop timing of voice recognition) by listening to the guidance. - Furthermore, uselessly long guidance is not provided to passenger and inconvenience is reduced by providing the first guidance, the second guidance and the fourth guidance by simple electronic sounds and the like. Accustomed passengers can understand the meaning of electronic sounds from the
notification unit 10 by listening to the sounds, and hence there is no problem if the first guidance, the second guidance and the fourth guidance are composed of simple electronic sounds alone. On the other hand, when no call has been registered at the time of full closing of the door, the third guidance having detailed contents is provided to within the car 1. For this reason, even unaccustomed passengers can perform call registration appropriately by listening to the guidance. - Incidentally, the period in which a passenger can perform call registration immediately after boarding the car 1 is limited to the period in which the door is fully open. If detailed contents are provided in the first guidance and the second guidance, the period in which a passenger can register a call by voice becomes short, lowering the convenience or the stop time of the car 1 at the
hall 2 becomes long, lowering the operation efficiency. By composing the first guidance and the second guidance by short electronic sounds alone, it becomes possible to solve these problems. - Furthermore, in the
call registration device 3 of the above-described configuration, voice recognition processing is performed by avoiding the door opening and closing periods and the period of notification from thenotification unit 10. For this reason, it is possible to positively prevent calls from being wrongly registered due to noises generated by the notification from thenotification unit 10 and door opening and closing actions. - Incidentally, the above-described functions of the
call registration device 3 can be used, for example, when a passenger boards the car 1 alone. For this reason, it is possible to adopt a configuration in which a boarding detection device (not shown) for detecting that a passenger has boarded the car alone is installed in thecall registration device 3 and the processing shown inFigures 2 and3 is carried out only in the case where single boarding is detected by this boarding detection device.
A destination floor button and the like by use of which a passenger registers a call may be separately installed in the car 1 along with the above-describedcall registration device 3. - In this embodiment, a concrete description will be given of the
call registration device 4 installed in thehall 2. Incidentally, when thecall registration device 4 permitting call registration is installed in thehall 2, it is not always necessary that thecall registration device 3 having the function of call registration by voice be installed in the car 1. - The
call registration device 4 is a device by use of which an elevator passenger performs call registration by voice in thehall 2. As details are shown inFigure 1 , thecall registration device 4 is such that the essential part thereof is composed of, for example, avoice input device 12, avoice recognition device 13, acall control section 14, anotification unit 15, avoice output device 16, and ahuman detection device 17.
Incidentally, because the basic functions of the devices and the like denoted by 12 to 16 are the same as those of corresponding devices and the like 7 to 11 provided in thecall registration device 3, the descriptions thereof are omitted and only concrete functions will be described later. - The
human detection device 17 has the function of detecting persons present in a prescribed detection range. Specifically, thehuman detection device 17 is provided in order to detect a passenger who is going to input voices from thevoice input device 12, and the detection range is set as a prescribed range in the vicinity of thevoice input device 12. For example, thehuman detection device 17 detects the presence of a passenger in the case where a person continues to stand before thevoice input device 12 for a prescribed time. Incidentally, the detection method for thehuman detection device 17 may be any method. For example, thehuman detection device 17 emits light or radio waves and receives the light or radio waves which are reflected and return, whereby thehuman detection device 17 detects the presence or absence of a passenger. Also, a camera (not shown) is installed in thehall 2, whereby the presence or absence of a passenger is detected by analyzing the image of the camera. - Next, referring to also
Figures 4 and5 , a description will be given of concrete actions of thecall registration device 4 having the above-described configuration.Figures 4 and5 are flowcharts showing the actions of the call registration device of an elevator in the second embodiment according to the present invention.Figures 4 and5 show a series of processing flows of thecall registration device 4. - In the
call registration device 4, in normal times the processing function of voice recognition by thevoice recognition device 13 is suspended by setting the switch of thevoice input device 12 at OFF or by other means. - The
call registration device 4 is constantly making a determination as to whether or not the presence of a passenger is detected by the human detection device 17 (S201). When thehuman detection device 17 detects the presence of a passenger in the case where the passenger continues to stand in front of thevoice input device 12 for a very short prescribed time (Yes in S201), thecall registration device 4 causes thevoice output device 16 to provide a prescribed first guidance to be provided from the notification unit 15 (S202). At this time, thevoice output device 16 causes simple electronic sounds composed of prescribed constant sounds, such as "beep", to be generated from thenotification unit 15 as the first guidance. - When in S202 the notification about the first guidance is made, next, the
call registration device 4 makes the processing function of voice recognition effective, and causes thevoice recognition device 13 to start voice recognition processing (S203). Incidentally, each processing in S204 to S208 is the same as each processing shown inS 104 toS 108 inFigure 2 . After making notification about the floor name registered in S208, thecall registration device 4 returns to the processing in S201. - In the case where voice input to the
voice input device 12 is not performed even after the start of the voice recognition processing by the voice recognition device 13 (No in S204), thecall registration device 4 makes a determination as to whether or not a prescribed given time has elapsed since the start of the voice recognition processing (S209). If in S209 the lapse of the above-described given time cannot be detected, furthermore, thecall registration device 4 makes a determination as to whether or not the presence of a passenger is being detected by the human detection device 17 (S210). Incidentally, when in S210 the presence of a passenger continues to be detected (Yes in S210), thecall registration device 4 returns to the processing in S204. - On the other hand, if the
human detection device 17 ceases to detect the presence of a passenger (No in S210) before the above-described given time elapses after the start of the voice recognition processing in S203 (No in S209), thecall registration device 4 finishes the voice recognition processing by the voice recognition device 13 (S211). Also, after causing the voice recognition processing to be finished, thecall registration device 4 causes thevoice output device 16 to provide a prescribed second guidance from the notification unit 15 (S212). At this time, thevoice output device 16 causes simple electronic sounds composed of repetition of prescribed constant sounds, such as "beep beep", to be generated from thenotification unit 15 as the second guidance. After that, thecall registration device 4 returns to the processing in S201. - When the given time has elapsed without voice input to the
voice input device 12 since the start of the voice recognition processing in S203 (Yes in S209), thecall registration device 4 temporarily finishes the voice recognition processing by the voice recognition device 13 (S213). After causing the voice recognition processing to be finished temporarily, thecall registration device 4 causes thevoice output device 16 to provide the prescribed third guidance from the notification unit 15 (S214). At this time, in the third guidance thevoice output device 16 causes contents which are more detailed than in the first guidance and second guidance to be provided from thenotification unit 15. For example, thevoice output device 16 causes thenotification unit 15 to announce by voice contents, such as "Please say the floor you want to go" or "Voice recognition is available in this elevator. Please say the floor you want to go, for example, the fourth floor" as the third guidance. - After the third guidance is provided in S214, the
call registration device 4 causes the voice recognition processing by thevoice recognition device 13 to be started again and makes a determination as to whether or not a voice has been inputted (S215, S216). Incidentally, each processing in S217 to S220 is the same as each processing in S117 to S120 ofFigure 3 . After making notification about the floor name registered in S220, thecall registration device 4 returns to the processing in S201. - On the other hand, in the case where voice input to the
voice input device 12 is not performed even after the voice recognition processing is started again in S215 (No in S216), thecall registration device 4 makes a determination as to whether or not a prescribed given time has elapsed since the restart of the voice recognition processing in S215 (S221). If in S221 a lapse of the above-described given time cannot be detected, furthermore, thecall registration device 4 makes a determination as to whether or not the presence of a passenger has been detected by the human detection device 17 (S222). Incidentally, when the presence of a passenger continues to be detected in S222 (Yes in S222), thecall registration device 4 returns to the processing in S216. - On the other hand, when after the restart of voice recognition processing in S215, the given time elapses without voice input to the
voice input device 12 and with the presence of a passenger continuing to be detected by the human detection device 17 (Yes in S221), thecall registration device 4 causes the voice recognition processing by thevoice recognition device 13 to be finished (S223). Also in the case where thehuman detection device 17 ceases to detect the presence of a passenger before the given time elapses after the restart of the voice recognition processing (No in S222), thecall registration device 4 causes the voice recognition processing to be finished (S223). - After causing the voice recognition processing to be finished in S223, the
call registration device 4 causes thevoice output device 16 to provide a prescribed fourth guidance from the notification unit 15 (S224). At this time, thevoice output device 16 causes simple electronic sounds composed of repetition of prescribed constant sounds, such as "beep bleep", to be generated from thenotification unit 15 as the fourth guidance in the same manner as in the above-described second guidance. After that, thecall registration device 4 returns to the processing in S201. - Also in the
call registration device 4 installed in thehall 2, this configuration enables the same effect as in the first embodiment to be produced. - The call registration device of an elevator of the present invention can be applied to a call registration device of an elevator by use of which an elevator passenger performs the registration of calls by voice.
