Claims (7)
- Method for securing a decoration (1) to an external timepiece element (2) coated with a galvanically deposited metallic layer (3), including the following series of steps:a) taking a substrate (2) used as external element;b) taking a decoration (1) for incorporation into the substrate;c) at least partially perforating the substrate (2) to the dimensions of the decoration (1) to be incorporated;d) the method being characterized in that a dummy part (5), adapted to the dimensions of hole thereby formed (4) is inserted into the hole (4),e) a metallic layer (3) is galvanically deposited on the substrate (2)f) if necessary, the metallic layer (3) is then levelled,g) the dummy part (5) is removed from the substrate (2) andh) the decoration (1) is inserted into the substrate (2) which is secured by adhesive bonding or is driven therein.
- Method according to claim 1, characterized in that the substrate (2) is an insulating material, in that step e) is preceded by a metallising step including a fine layer of chromium and gold and in that the galvanically deposited metallic layer (3) is a gold layer.
