Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a starting post / end of line or a corner post of a fence.
  • the fence corner posts are known, for example by the document US 2,107,589 wherein a wooden corner post is supported by a reinforcing member consisting of a metal profile, a tensioning wire passing around the corner post and both ends folded back on themselves eye of a threaded rod ensuring the mechanical connection between the base of the metal section and the tensioning wire.
  • the base of the metal profile is complex in shape and prevents the metal profile from being driven into the ground like a line stake.
  • the tensioning wire is very rigid because with its ends simply folded, it resists the tension imposed by the threaded rod.
  • a so-called "high tension” fence is a fence made from hard steel wire (s) or wire mesh (s) having a tension of at least 130 to 150 kg for a most commonly used wire of diameter 2.5 mm or less.
  • a tightly fenced fence In contrast to fences made of mild steel wire or mesh, which can not be tightly tensioned without the wire quickly beginning to irreversibly deform, a tightly fenced fence must be made of wire mesh or simple hard wire, with a high carbon content and / or a high elastic limit.
  • Such a thread is often sold under the trade name Hi-Tensile or High-Tensile. It is most often in the form of 25 kg crowns and 600 to 650 m to be placed by the installer on a driver to the diameter of the crown.
  • An example of such a thread is the Sethetical 25 (registered trademark) put forward on the commercial documentation of Lacme for many years.
  • Tight fences are described in the documents High-Tensile Wire Fencing, Northeast Regional Agricultural Engineering Service, 1987 , and How to Build Fences with USS Max-Ten200 High-tensile Fence Wire by United States Steel, 1980 . These fences are supported by line stakes and corner posts. When the line stakes are metal, it is usually stakes whose section is T-shaped or Y (the latter is also called "star"). T-stakes are for example described in the patents US1454649 and US5042591 . For example, Y-stakes are illustrated in the documentation The Waratah fencing range 2009/10 by One Steel Market Mills, 2009 .
  • start / end of line and poles "corner”.
  • the starting posts / end of line and the corner posts must be particularly robust, to withstand, on the first day as over time, the high mechanical tension applied to this type of fence.
  • a known solution is to make the starting posts / end of line and the corner posts with large diameter wooden piles.
  • a disadvantage of this solution is that the wooden piles are bulky and heavy. In addition, wooden piles are putrescible. In addition, these The piles, due to their round section or in an arc, have less good ground anchorage in time than metal stakes of more complex sections.
  • the user must master the use of various woodworking tools including the chainsaw and a tool-type pneumatic driver, thermal or hydraulic, to be able to make the joints of the wooden piles in each other, as well as their anchoring in the ground.
  • Another known solution is to make the starting posts / end of line and the corner posts with a metal stake and a reinforcing element.
  • the metal stakes are easier to drive into the ground, for example using a cylindrical bell-shaped mass.
  • the reinforcing member may comprise a mooring or strut of metal.
  • a mooring line is not appropriate at the level of the two starting posts / end of line of a barrier passage for a herd of animals because this mooring would necessarily hinder the circulation space of the flock when it crosses the barrier crossing.
  • US 2,799,369 discloses a starting post / end of line or corner post which includes all the features of the preamble of claim 1. This document forms the closest state of the art for the invention.
  • the present invention aims to provide a starting post / end of line or a corner post of a fence that avoids at least some of the aforementioned drawbacks, which is simple to mount, and which uses conventional parts, used in such volume for the realization of the fence line that their exact number is not planned to the unit close during the site preparation. These parts are subsequently manufactured in large quantities and inexpensive.
  • the subject of the invention is a starting / end of line pole or a corner post of a fence based on line stakes and fence wire, comprising a first metal post, intended to be planted in the ground in a substantially vertical position, and a reinforcing element, said reinforcing element comprising a second metal post, intended to be disposed obliquely between said first stake and the ground, and a connecting element, intended for connecting a first end of said second stake, placed on the ground, to said first stake, characterized in that said first stake has a U-shaped section or W, in that said second stake is a peg used as a line stake of the fence , and has a section T or Y, and in that said connecting element is made of wire fence.
  • the fence wire is able to withstand a strong traction, greater than 200kg.
  • Such a second peg is conventionally otherwise used as a "line" stake of a tight fence.
  • said connecting element is formed by a complete loop of closing wire.
  • the loop of said connecting element is closed by means of a splicer.
  • said post comprises a reinforcing element disposed in the 'lower' bore of said second stake, the wire forming said connecting element being threaded into said bore relying on said reinforcing element.
  • said connecting element is formed by one or more single branches in closing wire.
  • the fixing of the or each wire branch is carried out using blockers.
  • said post comprises a metal anti-recess piece having a U or W section, which is placed on the ground under said first end of said second stake, said anti-depression piece having a larger flat surface than the section.
  • said first end of said second stake, said anti-depression piece being constituted by a cut end portion of said first stake, said first stake having a pre-cut line; allowing the detachment of said anti-depression part of said first stake.
  • said second stake comprises, at its second end, opposite said first end, a notch notch.
  • said first peg comprises a notch intended to receive a portion of the second end of said second peg.
  • said post comprises a protective cap, adapted to be disposed on one end of said first stake, said protective cap comprising clipping means and / or holes adapted to receive the elements necessary for mounting the post before said mounting (element reinforcement, rod and bolt, etc.).
  • the step of locking in position of said second end relative to said first stake is carried out, on the one hand, by the friction between said second end and said first stake, and, on the other hand, by the setting place a rod in two transverse bores of said first stake.
  • a start / end post or an angle post 1 is shown, which is intended to be used to form a tightly fenced fence in wire mesh or single steel wire.
  • the fence may be an electric fence or a purely mechanical fence.
  • the post 1 comprises a first metal post 2 and a reinforcing element.
  • the reinforcing element comprises a second metal stake 3 and a connecting element 4.
  • the first post 2 is intended to be planted in the ground 5 in a substantially vertical position.
  • the first stake 2 has a U-shaped section.
  • the first stake 2 could have a V-shaped section or W.
  • the first post 2 comprises, on the bottom of the U, a set of holes 6 of small size each allowing the passage of one or two fencing son (not shown), for example son Hi-Tensile. These bores 6, typically spaced 10 centimeters, are aligned vertically on a longitudinal axis of the first stake 2. In a variant represented on the figure 19 , the bore 6 intended to be located at ground level is replaced or supplemented by a pair of additional holes.
  • the first stake 2 also has, on the bottom of the U, substantially halfway up, a guide groove (not visible in the figures) adapted to guide an end 3a of the second stake 3 in a substantially vertical direction, as will be described in more detail later.
  • the second stake 3 is intended to be disposed obliquely between the first stake 2 and the ground 5.
  • the second stake 3 has a Y-section.
  • the second stake 3 could have a T-section.
  • Such a peg is preferably the one commonly used as a line called "line" of a tight electric fence.
  • the second stake 3 forms a strut.
  • the connecting element 4 is intended to connect the end 3b of the second stake 3, which is placed on the ground 5, with the base 2b of the first stake 2. Called base 2b of the first stake 2 the area of the first stake 2 which is just above the ground when the first stake 2 has been introduced by depression in the ground 5.
  • the connecting element 4 is disposed in a substantially horizontal plane.
  • the connecting element 4 must be able to withstand significant mechanical tensile stresses. Indeed, the connecting element 4 is the element of the pole 1 which supports the highest traction force, for example of the order of 400 to 500 kg. It should be noted that the force exerted on the connecting element depends on the number of wires of the fence.
  • the connecting element 4 must be arranged substantially horizontal to fulfill its function of closing the force system and oppose the ascent of the first stake 2.
  • the connecting element 4 wire is for example made using fence wire capable of withstanding a higher traction 200kg, for example Hi-Tensile wire.
  • the wire used to make the connecting element 4 is exactly the same wire used in the rest of the fence.
  • the number of components used for the realization of the post 1 is on the one hand reduced, and, secondly, limited to components used elsewhere in the straight line portion of the electric fence.
  • the first stake 2 is pushed into the ground 5, for example using a bell (not shown).
  • the size of the bell can be adapted to the size of the first stake 2, so that the stake is depressed to the right depth (relative to the various holes provided on the first stake 2) when the bottom of the bell touches the ground 5.
  • the second stake 3 When the first post 2 has been driven into the ground 5, the second stake 3 is set up so that its upper end 3a is inserted into the U of the first post 2 above a predetermined mark, and that its lower end 3b (if it had been used in "line” stakes) is placed on the ground 5, at a distance therefore implicitly predetermined (because the heights of "line” stake in Y are approximately constant of one supplier to another) of the base 2b of the first stake 2.
  • the second stake 3 can be supported on an anti-depression part 8, which is placed on the ground 5 under the end 3b.
  • the anti-depression part 8 has a larger flat surface than the end section 3b.
  • the anti-depression part 8 may advantageously consist of a few centimeters cut at one end of the first stake 2.
  • the anti-depression piece 8 is in this case a metal section section U or W section identical to the section of the 2.
  • the rail can then guide the end 3b of the post 3 during assembly.
  • the rail may comprise a slot 30 ( figures 5 and 7 ) or a bore for positioning and then locking in longitudinal translation the end 3b of the second stake 3 when mounting the angle post or start / end of line.
  • the first peg may advantageously comprise a precut line 10 ( figure 8 ). Thus, it is sufficient to strike the corresponding end of the first stake 2 against a stone or with the aid of a tool to separate the anti-depression part 8 of the first stake 2.
  • the end 3a of the second stake 3 is initially placed at a predetermined high threshold of the first stake 2.
  • the high threshold is for example one of the holes 6.
  • the high threshold may be a mark engraved or inscribed on the first stake 2.
  • the connecting element 4 is put in place.
  • the connecting element 4 is for example formed of a complete loop of fence wire.
  • the second stake 3 has a 'lower' hole 15 ( figures 6 and 16 ) near its lower end 3b. This drilling is original because it would be under the surface of the ground if said stake was otherwise conventionally driven into the soil in line stakes.
  • the post 1 may comprise a reinforcement element 16 of the horseshoe trough type, better visible on the figure 17 .
  • the reinforcing element 16 is inserted into the 'lower' bore 15, and then the wire forming the connecting element 4 is threaded into the 'lower' bore 15 by relying on the reinforcing element 16 , as shown on the figure 4 .
  • the reinforcing element 16 makes it possible to increase the radius of curvature of the loop of the connecting element 4, and thus to limit the shear.
  • the loop of the connecting element 4 is formed by entering the wire in a first hole 6 of the set of bores 6, and by the springing by a second hole 6 of the set of bores 6 placed just above or just below the first hole 6 ( figures 4 and 18 ).
  • the wire enters through a hole 6 of the pair of bores, and exits through the second hole 6 of the pair of bores. This makes it possible to obtain a connecting element 4 arranged in a more horizontal plane.
  • the connecting element 4 may be formed by one or more single branches of fence wire, for example Hi-Tensile wire.
  • the single branch or branches are attached on the one hand to the end 3b of the second stake 3 and, on the other hand, to the base 2b of the first stake 2.
  • the attachment of the or each branch of wire can be achieved using blockers of conventional type placed behind the corresponding holes.
  • a blocker is a mechanism similar to a router but more economical because only proposing a single passage of wire. If the user does not have a blocker, he can use a router which he will use only one of the two channels to turn it into a simple blocker.
  • the breaking limit thresholds of the blockers / splicers can be chosen so that they function as fuses, that is to say that, in the event of excessive mechanical tension in the fencing wires, the pole 1 breaks. at their level before excessive irreversible mechanical deformations have occurred at posts 2, 3.
  • the establishment of the second stake 3 forming the strut can be performed without tools.
  • the distance between the respective edges of the two arms Y of the second stake 3 is very slightly less than the distance between the two legs of the U of the first stake 2, to facilitate sliding and guiding.
  • the low threshold is formed by a notch, open or not, for example a cutout 11, disposed on the bottom of the U of the first stake 2, wherein the end 3a of the second stake 3 is fitted at the end of sliding.
  • the first post 2 has a section W, the two legs of the W being sufficiently close to each other and of sufficient depth so that the portion of the second end 3a, inserted in the notch, is arranged between the W.'s legs
  • the stakes 3 used to produce so-called "line" poles comprise, at their upper end, a notch 12 of generally rectangular shape, as shown in FIG. figure 12 .
  • this rectangular notch may be replaced by a notch 13 in bevel, as shown in FIG. figure 15 .
  • the chamfered notch 13 makes it possible to increase the contact area between the second stake 3 and the contour of the cutout 11.
  • the bevelled cutout 13 also makes it possible to limit the portion of the second stake 3 protruding from the bottom of the U via the cutting 11, which limits the risk of a person getting injured. Note that this notch 13 does not prevent the use of the second stake 3 as a line stake.
  • the low threshold can be achieved by a transverse rod 22 placed between the branches of the U of the first stake 2, after the end 3a has been lowered to the low threshold.
  • the end 3a is wedged by friction in the first stake 2, and the rod 22 prevents the end 3a from rising, in case of shock or wear.
  • the post 1 comprises a protective cap 20 disposed on the top 2a of the first stake 2.
  • the protective cap 20 is made of molded plastic and comprises clipping means 21 and / or holes for receiving the element reinforcement 16 and / or any fasteners 22 necessary for mounting the post 1.
