A lifting device (A) according to claim 1, characterised in that by displacing companion plates (12, 12') in the guide form of the pivoting arms (9) (9') and by the penetration of spring locks (14, 14') in the holes (15a, 15b, 15c, 15a', 15b', 15c') made on the pivoting arms (9, 9'), the lifting device (A) offers three possible positions in relation to the console (P) thus making it possible to support boards of different widths and particularly narrow boards, by inserting spring locks (14, 14') in the holes (15c, 15c'), standard width boards by inserting spring locks (14, 14') in the holes (15b, 15b') and to fold the pivoting arms (9, 9'), thus reducing the length of the console (P) and making it more compact for transport and storage, by the combined action of the insertion of the spring locks (14, 14') in the holes (15a, 15a') and the rotation of the pivoting arms made by the articulations made up of plates (11, 11') welded to the arm supports (10, 10') and the companion plates (12, 12').

A lifting device (A) according to claims 1 and 2, characterised in that tightening means made up here of two screw handles (18, 18') tighten or loosen two yokes (19, 19') integral with the central frame (17) thus releasing the displacement of the main tube (16) in relation to the central frame (17), making it possible to obtain different positions of the console (P) and work under slopes from the floor and then from different heights.

A lifting device (A) according to claim 1, characterised in that the lifting cable system is made up for each post identically to that described between the posts (20, 21), of two cables (23, 23') of identical length fixed at one of their ends at the bottom part of the post (20) and at their other end to the post (21) and passing around a pulley (22), with two sheaves (22a, 22b) of different depths, make it possible to tension the cable (23) and to slacken the cable (23') to act as a safety cable.
