Wie in der Zeichnung dargestellt, weist das Walzgerüst im vorliegenden Fall zwei einen Walzspalt 31 definierende Arbeitswalzen 32, 33 und zwei jeweils eine Arbeitswalze 32, 33 abstützende Stützwalzen 34, 35 auf. Im vorliegenden Fall sind in einem Gestell 36 des Walzgerüsts 11 Heizeinrichtungen 37 paarweise einander gegenüberliegend angeordnet, wobei sich die Stützwalzen 34, 35 zwischen den Heizeinrichtungen 37 befinden und somit mittels der Heizeinrichtungen 37 mit Wärmeenergie beaufschlagbar sind. Bei der Übergabe fährt der Bundwagen 38 mit dem Coil 29 in die Haubeneinrichtung 21 durch die an der Haubeneinrichtung 21 gebildete Coildurchtrittsöffnung 23 beziehungsweise die Spulendurchtrittsöffnung 41 ein. Nach erfolgter Aufnahme des Coils 29 in der Haspeleinrichtung 13 ermöglicht ein an der Haspeleinrichtung 13 oder der Haubeneinrichtung 21 angeordneter Coilöffner 42 den Zugriff auf den hier nicht näher dargestellten Bandanfang, der von der Einlaufseite 24 her in den Walzspalt 31 eingeführt und zu der auf der Auslaufseite 25 des Walzgerüsts 21 angeordneten Haspeleinrichtung 12 weitergeführt werden kann. Der hier nicht näher dargestellte Bandanfang wird dann mittels an sich bekannter Mittel, wie beispielsweise einer Anwickelvorrichtung, an einer in der Spulenaufnahmeeinrichtung 25 der Haspeleinrichtung 12 aufgenommenen Spule 39 fixiert, so dass nachfolgend entsprechend einer Abhaspelung des Magnesiumbands 30 in der Haspeleinrichtung 13 eine Aufhaspelung des Magnesiumbands 30 auf die Spule 39 in der Haspeleinrichtung 12 durchgeführt werden kann. Die in der Zeichnung gewählte Darstellung entspricht einer Phase im Verlauf eines durchgeführten Stichs, in der etwa die Hälfte der ursprünglich auf dem Coil 29 angeordneten Magnesiumbands 30 auf die in der als Aufhaspel betriebene Haspeleinrichtung 12 angeordnete Spule 39 übertragen wurde. Hierzu wird die Spule 39 mittels der Spulenhandhabungseinrichtung 18, 19 nach Förderung in eine Übergabeposition 45 mittels des Horizontalförderers 16 der Spulenbereitstellungseinrichtung 17 gegen die zuvor in der Haspeleinrichtung 12 angeordnete Spule 39 ausgetauscht.
