Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device and a method for applying at least one adhesion-promoting agent to at least one stacking unit of at least one staple layer to be stacked into a stack according to the preamble of claim 1 or claim 10.
  • stack units In order to obtain a higher stability of the stack when stacking single or entire stack layers of articles, containers, containers or packaging units briefly combined under the term stack units, it is known to apply a static friction increasing agent to at least one or more surface portions of at least one stack unit.
  • the stacking can be provided for example during palletizing.
  • US 5,895,540 known to provide at least the lower and upper sides of the stacking units of a stack with an at least partially double-sided adhesive tape.
  • the double-sided adhesive tape consists of three strips of single-sided adhesive tape, which partially overlap each other adhesive layer on adhesive layer, leaving portions of their adhesive layers.
  • the double-sided adhesive tape can be rolled up without the need for a separately peelable protective film required for other double-sided adhesive tapes.
  • cardboard boxes provided as stacking units can be closed by means of the double-sided adhesive tape.
  • the double-sided adhesive tape thus fulfills a dual function.
  • the double-sided adhesive tape forms a static, before and during and between the stacking units of the stack before, during and after application and an adhesive effect both with in contact, as well as coming into contact surfaces, stiction-increasing means. Since the adhesive effect with contacting double-sided adhesive tape on the upper and lower sides of the stacking units makes any further transport of the stacking units impossible makes the stacking units immediately after they have been provided with the double-sided adhesive tape stacked individually on the stack.

  • the disadvantage hereof is that the adhesive applied to the topmost stack layer of the stack already applied must retain its adhesive effect with surfaces in contact as well as with surfaces coming into contact at least until the next stack layer is placed on top. In this way, a stacking device provided for producing the stack and stacking one stack after the other on the stack can become dirty and stick together.

  • the agent is a primer or adhesive consisting of a blend of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin with mineral oils and fine crystalline wax.
  • the stiction-increasing agent is at least during application in a liquid and / or waxy / and / or gelatinous state.
