Die Feststellvorrichtung wirkt hierbei auf das Gleitstück und ist vorzugsweise mittels im Türbetätiger integrierter Kabel mit der Auslösevorrichtung verbunden. Diese Kabel dienen zur Datenübertragung. Ein im Gleitschienensystem befindlicher Sturzmelder (Signalgeber) ist ebenfalls vorzugsweise mittels werkseitiger interner Verkabelung zur Datenübertragung mit der Auslösevorrichtung verbunden. Die Auslösevorrichtung beinhaltet bevorzugt ein Funkmodul, welches die Kommunikation mit als Deckenmelder ausgebildeten Signalgebern herstellt. Die Energieversorgung der am Gleitschienensystem befindlichen Komponenten erfolgt durch vorzugsweise ein Batteriepaket. Alternativ können beispielsweise Akkumulatoren oder Solarzellen als Energieversorgung der am Gieftschienensystem befindlichen Komponenten verwendet werden. Alternativ zur internen werkseitigen Festverdrahtung der am Gleitschienensystem befindlichen Komponenten, kann auch hier mittels Funk mit der Auslösevorrichtung kommuniziert werden. Selbiges gilt für die Feststellvorrichtungen. So kann auch nur ein Teil der Feststellvorrichtungen über Funk mit der Auslösevorrichtung kommunizieren. Ebenso kann auch nur ein Teil der Feststellvorrichtungen netzspannungsunabhängig vorzugsweise batteriebetrieben sein, wohingegen ein anderer Teil der Feststellvorrichtungen mit dem Gebäudestromnetz verbunden ist.
