Definitions
- the present invention relates to a sports article for cooperating with a shoe.
- the sporting article includes a sports gear and a lateral guide of the rear portion of the shoe.
- Such a sports machine can be cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, alpine skiing for hiking or telemark.
- a known solution is to secure, on the upper face of the sports machine, a lateral guide.
- This guide comprises at least one rib capable of cooperating with a groove extending along the underside of the sole of the boot, when the boot rests on the sports machine, that is to say, when the sole is parallel to the upper face of the sports machine.
- the lateral guide must be positioned so that the groove of the sole cooperates with the rib of the lateral guide at the heel. Beyond this zone, guidance is no longer necessary.
- the lateral guides are secured on the upper face of the ski by means of nails or screws penetrating into the soul of the ski.
- the assembler uses a template specific to a shoe size. The assembler must therefore have as many templates as shoe sizes in order to adjust the position of the lateral guide relative to these shoe sizes.
- the request for FR-A-2 623 094 thus describes a lateral guide comprising a rib whose rear end is formed by breakable sections so as to adjust the length of the rib. Accordingly, the length of the guide rib can be adjusted so that it ends at the heel of the shoe.
- a lateral guide that is to say, compatible with several shoe sizes, it must be as long as the largest size. This leads to use a lateral guide longer than necessary, so more expensive to achieve.
- the design is a compromise between the rigidity of the rib necessary for a good lateral support and the fragility necessary to be able to easily cut the useless breakable sections. This compromise naturally leads to disadvantages depending on the preferred choice.
- the object of the invention is to provide an improved sport article.
- One purpose is in particular to improve the effectiveness of the lateral guidance of a shoe avoiding the aforementioned drawbacks.
- Another object of the invention is to obtain two distinct settings of the lateral guide from the same positioning means.
- Another particular object of the invention is to reconcile the adjustment and the performance of the sports machine.
- the invention relates to a lateral guide at least influencing the characteristics of the sports machine, including weight, flexion and balance thereof.
- the invention proposes a sports article intended to cooperate with a shoe comprising a sports gear and a lateral guide of the rear part of the shoe.
- the sports machine comprises at least one positioning means.
- the lateral guide comprises at least one complementary positioning means cooperating with the associated positioning means of the sports machine in order to adjust the position of the lateral guide on the sports machine.
- One or more positioning means are arranged so as to allow longitudinal double positioning of the lateral guide on the sports vehicle by cooperating with one or the same associated positioning means, the second longitudinal positioning of the lateral guide comprising a rotation of the guide lateral 180 ° relative to an axis of rotation perpendicular to the upper face of the sports vehicle relative to the first longitudinal positioning of the lateral guide.
- a “longitudinal positioning" or “longitudinal position” of the lateral guide means that the lateral guide is placed at a determined location on the upper face of the sports machine along a longitudinal axis of the machine of sport.
- the longitudinal position of the lateral guide aligns the end of the guide zone of the lateral guide with the heel of the shoe when it rests on the sports machine.
- the lateral guidance is obtained by the cooperation of a longitudinal rib forming the lateral guide with a complementary groove extending along the underside of the sole of the shoe.
- guidance is efficient only on a part of the rib called useful guide length. This useful length corresponds to the part of the rib for which the height of the rib is sufficient to be able to cooperate effectively with the groove of the sole of the shoe in order to obtain lateral support.
- two longitudinal positions of the lateral guide can easily be adjusted from the same positioning means of the sports machine coupled with the same complementary positioning means of the lateral guide.
- the assembler obtains two possible settings of the guide without having to use additional positioning means. For example, using a single template, it can realize and / or position the positioning means on the sports machine, such as two centering holes, which allow him to adjust its lateral guide for two sizes of shoe. In addition, it becomes easy to reproduce the same setting from one sports machine to another.
- the size of the lateral guide can be optimized.
- the lateral guide can be compact.
- the lateral guide has a single central guide rib which allows a dimensioning of the stiffer rib, or higher, compared to the available space on the sports machine at this level.
- the positioning means and / or the additional positioning means also make it possible to secure the lateral guide on the sports machine.
- the invention allows the use of simple positioning means, such as for example screws directly screwed to the sports machine.
- the complementary positioning means are holes passing through the lateral guide. The template would then drill the centering holes of the screws in the sports machine.
- the complementary positioning means is a protruding shape or a housing forming the end of an elastic tab and the associated positioning means is a housing or a projecting shape adapted to cooperate the end of the elastic paw.
- the complementary positioning means is disposed longitudinally between the two longitudinal ends of a lateral guide zone of the rear portion of the shoe of the lateral guide.
- a base between the lateral guide and the sports machine To facilitate the assembly of the lateral guide, it may be envisaged to use a base between the lateral guide and the sports machine.
- the complementary means is then integral with this base reported on the sports machine.
- the lateral guide may be a monobloc piece directly secured to the sports vehicle and independent of the shoe retainer, itself directly secured to the sports machine.
- the lateral guide and the retaining device of the shoe are compact because they have a short length. As a result, these pieces can easily become attached to the upper face of a slightly arched sports vehicle. The assembly of these parts on the sports vehicle deforms weakly the sports machine.
- the invention also relates to a shoe attachment intended to be secured to a sports machine comprising a lateral guide as described above.
- the invention also relates to a simple lateral guide provided to go with the attachment described above.
- the first embodiment is presented using the Figures 1 to 3 .
- the figure 1 represents a cross-country ski 1 intended to cooperate with a cross-country ski boot 10, drawn in dotted line.
- the cross-country ski comprises a board 20 equipped with a retaining device 30 for the shoe 10 and a lateral guide 40 having a first end 41 and a second end 42.
- the retaining device and the lateral guide are secured to one end. upper face 21 of the board.
- the first end 41 is the front end of the guide, the one being the closest to the retainer, while the second end 42 is the rear end, that disposed opposite the heel 11 of the shoe.
- the shoe can pivot about an axis X R transverse to the ski, thanks to the cooperation of a connecting bar 12 secured to the front part of the sole 13 of the shoe with a jaw 31 of the retaining device.
- the shoe can be supported on the board directly, or through an intermediate piece such as the retainer. In this position, it is important that the shoe is held laterally.
- the sole comprises a groove 14 of variable depth 15.
- the lateral support is obtained by the cooperation of this groove with, on the one hand, a rib 43 of the retainer and with, d ' on the other hand, the lateral guide having a maximum height 44.
- the groove and the rib extend in a direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the ski.
- the support effort of the skier is better transmitted to the board when the lower end of the sole is directly in contact with the board, as can be seen in figure 1 . it means that the height of the groove of the sole is always greater than the height 44 of the lateral guide.
- the useful guide length L G of the lateral guide is defined, the length for which the covering is sufficient. This useful guide length is related to the maximum height 44. It begins and ends when the height of the rib exceeds a defined height 45.
- this height 45 is equal to one third of the maximum height of the rib, or preferably, greater than half of the maximum height.
- the maximum height 44 of the rib must be at least greater than three millimeters.
- the rib is not necessarily continuous. It may include transverse recesses that may be useful to facilitate the evacuation of the snow and thus prevent the formation of ice on the lateral guide that may disturb the support of the shoe on the board or to facilitate the bending of the lateral guide to better marry the shape of a plank arched during its joining.
- the guiding of the shoe is directly related to the longitudinal position of the lateral guide. For good lateral guidance, it is therefore necessary that the rear end 42 of the lateral guide is substantially aligned with the heel of the shoe. In other words, it is preferable that the rear end 42 G of the guide length L G coincides with the rear end of the groove of the sole.
- the longitudinal position of the lateral guide is determined relative to the retaining device because it forms the point of articulation of the shoe and therefore determines the longitudinal positioning of the shoe relative to the board.
- This longitudinal position of the lateral guide is defined by a first positioning distance D 1 separating the rear end 32 of the front end retainer 41 G from the guide length L G and the guide length L G .
- the securing of the lateral guide with the board is carried out by two screws 50a, 50b passing respectively through a through hole 46a, 46b of the lateral guide, and screwed respectively into a blind centering hole 22a, 22b. , pierced on the upper face 21 of the board along an axis of revolution X 22a , X 22b perpendicular to the upper face 21.
- Each through hole 46a, 46b comprises a countersink so as to receive the screw head of the associated screw which allows to press the lateral guide against the board.
- X 46a and X 46b respectively denote the axes of the through holes 46a, 46b.
- the centering holes have a center distance E.
- the through holes have the same distance E.
- X 1P is noted, the axis perpendicular to the upper face of the board and passing through the center of the center distance E centering holes.
- X 1G is noted, the axis perpendicular to the face 47 of the lateral guide interface with the board and passing through the middle of the spacing E through the holes.
- the positioning of the guide therefore depends on the position of the centering holes 22a, 22b.
- these centering holes are drilled using a template taking into account the dimensioning of the lateral guide, the size targeted by the adjustment and the fixing means of the retaining device on the board.
- these drilling holes define a single positioning of the lateral guide associated with a single shoe size.
- the screws 50a, 50b associated with the centering holes 22a, 22b form the first and second positioning means.
- the through holes 46a, 46b form the first and second complementary positioning means.
- the through holes 46a, 46b are arranged asymmetrically with respect to the center of the effective guide length of the lateral guide.
- This dissymmetry can result in a difference in length between the distance D 41G separating an end 41 G from the effective guide length of the X axis 46a of the through hole 46a closest to this end and the distance D 42G , separating the other end 42 G of the effective guide length of the X axis 46b of the second through hole 46b.
- the distance D 41G is of the order of sixty millimeters while the distance D 42G is of the order of ten millimeters, the effective guide length being of the order of one hundred and seventy millimeters (the center distance E is therefore of the order of one hundred millimeters).
- the ratio between these two distances D 41G , D 42G is of the order of 15%.
- this ratio can vary between 10 and 30%.
- This dissymmetry can also result in asymmetry of the ends of the useful guide length with respect to the axis X 1G .
- one end 41 G of the useful guide length is distant by a length L 41G of the axis X 1G
- the other end 42 G is distant by a different length L 42G of the same axis X 1G .
- the length L 41G is of the order of one hundred and ten millimeters while the length L 42G is of the order of sixty millimeters, the useful guide length being of the order of one hundred and seventy millimeters (The center distance E is always of the order of one hundred millimeters).
- the ratio between these two lengths L 41G , L 42G is of the order of 55%.
- this ratio can vary between 50 and 75%.
- the end 42 of the lateral guide becomes the anterior end while the end 41 becomes the posterior end.
- the positioning distance D 2 separating the posterior end 32 of the retaining device from the new front end 42 G of the guide length L G differs from the positioning distance D 1 relative to the first configuration. .
- the subsequent position of the end 41 G or 42 G of the working length L of the guide G is different depending on whether the guide is assembled in accordance with a first configuration or in that it is assembled according to a second configuration corresponding to the reversal of the lateral guide.
- the posterior position of the end 41 G or 42 G of the useful length L G being decisive for guiding the heel of the shoe, the first and second configurations correspond to different shoe sizes.
- the figures 1 and 2 represent the assembly of the lateral guide according to a first configuration corresponding to a small shoe size.
- the front screw 50a screwed into the centering hole 22a forms the first positioning means cooperating with the through hole 46a forming the first complementary positioning means.
- the rear screw 50b screwed into the centering hole 22b forms the second positioning means cooperating with the through hole 46b forming the second complementary positioning means.
- the figure 3 represents the assembly of the returned lateral guide, according to the second configuration corresponding to a larger shoe size.
- the relationship between the positioning means and the complementary positioning means is reversed.
- the front screw 50a screwed into the centering hole 22a cooperates with the through hole 46b while the rear screw 50b screwed into the centering hole 22b cooperates with the through hole 46a.
- the first and second complementary positioning means cooperate respectively with the first and second positioning means of the associated sports machine when the lateral guide is placed in the first configuration. Conversely, when the lateral guide is placed in the second configuration, the first and second complementary positioning means cooperate respectively with the second and first associated positioning means.
- the adjustment of the two longitudinal positions is simple. To obtain the second longitudinal position, simply turn the lateral guide and align the means complementary positioning of the lateral guide with the associated positioning means of the sports machine. In other words, the mean positioning associations / complementary positioning means are reversed.
- the guidance zone of the lateral guide is asymmetrical with respect to the center of the complementary positioning means in order to obtain the two longitudinal positions of the lateral guide from the same positioning means, namely, the first and second positioning means.
- the positioning means of the lateral guide also to secure the lateral guide with the board.
- the figure 4 represents a variant of the first embodiment.
- the lateral guide 140 comprises two pins 141a and 141b protruding from the lower face 142 of the lateral guide and forming the complementary positioning means.
- the lateral guide 140 is positioned by these two pins 141a and 141b cooperating with two indexing holes 23a and 23b forming the positioning means of the board.
- the adjustment of the two longitudinal positions of the lateral guide is similar to the first embodiment described above.
- the two pins replace the through holes of the first embodiment and the indexing holes replace the combination of screws and centering holes.
- the difference lies in the joining of the lateral guide with the board.
- the guide comprises a through hole 143 through which the screw 150 is screwed into a centering hole 22 of the board.
- the X axis 143 of the through hole 143 passes through the center of the two pins.
- the X axis 22 of the centering hole 22 passes through the center of the two indexing holes.
- the two axes X 143 and X 22 coincide in the two configurations when the lateral guide is assembled.
- the second configuration corresponds to the rotation of the lateral guide 180 ° about the X axis 143 .
- the side guide is asymmetrical with respect to the X axis 143.
- one end 144 G of the useful guide length is spaced a length L 144G from the X axis 143
- the other end 145 G is distant by a different length L 145G of the same axis X 143 .
- the number of pins and indexing holes may vary. In this case, it is necessary that the indexing holes are arranged symmetrically with respect to the X axis 22 .
- the figures 5 and 6 illustrate a second embodiment.
- This solution comprises a base 260 secured to the board.
- the base forms a plate 261 whose lower face 262 of the base is in contact with the upper face 21 of the board.
- the assembly between these two pieces is classic. This can be by screw or by gluing.
- a shank 263 protrudes from the upper face 264 of the plate 261 and extends along an axis X 263 perpendicular to the lower face 262. This shank 263 cooperates with a housing 241 of a lateral guide 240 so as to allow the rotation of the lateral guide about an axis of revolution X 241 of the housing 241. When the lateral guide is assembled with the base, the axes X 24 , and X 263 are merged.
- a screw 250 passes through a through hole 242 of the lateral guide and is screwed into a centering hole 265 centered on the shaft 263.
- the screw head of the screw 250 is housed in a housing 243 of the lateral guide so as to block the spacing of the lateral guide relative to the base.
- the lateral guide 240 is pivotally mounted about an axis X 24 , of the base 260.
- the stop in rotation is obtained by the cooperation of the end 244 of a clip 245 forming an end of the lateral guide with a notch 266a or 266b of the plate 261.
- the clip and the notches are dimensioned and arranged so that, when they cooperate, the effective guide length of the lateral guide is aligned with a longitudinal axis of the board.
- the notches 266a, 266b are symmetrical with respect to the X axis 263 .
- the lateral guide can take two stable positions. In a first configuration, the clip cooperates with the posterior notch 266b. The second configuration corresponds to the rotation of the lateral guide 180 ° about the X axis 241 .
- the lateral guide is asymmetrical with respect to the X axis 241 .
- one end 246 G of the useful guide length is spaced from a length L 246G of the X axis 241 , while the other end 247 G is distant by a different length L 247G of the same axis X 241 .
- the ratio between these lengths L 246G and L 247G is advantageously of the same order as before, between 50 and 75%.
- the shaft 263, forming the first positioning means cooperates with the housing 241, forming the first complementary positioning means.
- a notch 266a or 266b forming a second positioning means cooperates with the end 244 of the clip 245 forming the second complementary positioning means.
- the two positions of the lateral guide are obtained with the same cooperation between the first positioning means and the first complementary positioning means.
- the lateral guide is provided with a first complementary positioning means cooperating with a first associated positioning means so as to guide the lateral guide in rotation about an axis of rotation perpendicular to the upper face of the sports vehicle and a second complementary positioning means cooperating with a second or third positioning means associated so as to block the rotation of the lateral guide about the axis of rotation.
- This solution facilitates adjustment between the two adjustable longitudinal positions since it is sufficient only to rotate the guide around a pivot connection of the guide.
- the longitudinal positioning of the lateral guide depends on the angular position of the lateral guide relative to the sports vehicle.
- the longitudinal positioning is determined, on the one hand, by the guidance formed by the association of the first complementary positioning means with the first associated positioning means and, on the other hand, by the indexation formed by the association.
- second complementary positioning means with another associated positioning means.
- the guidance zone of the lateral guide is asymmetrical with respect to the axis of rotation, which makes it possible to obtain two different longitudinal positions for the lateral guide from the same positioning means, namely, the first positioning means.
- the figure 7 represents a third embodiment.
- This solution comprises a base 360 secured to the board by conventional means such as screws or gluing.
- the base comprises two edges 361a, 361b extending laterally and parallel to a longitudinal axis of the board. These edges 361a, 361b cooperate with grooves 341a, 341b of a lateral guide 340 so as to allow only a longitudinal translation of the lateral guide along a longitudinal axis of the board.
- the base thus forms a rail for the lateral guide.
- the translation stop is obtained by a screw 350 passing through a through hole 344 X axis 344 of the lateral guide and screwed into a threaded hole 362 of the base.
- the lateral guide can therefore be assembled in two configurations, the second configuration corresponding to the 180 ° rotation of the lateral guide around the X axis 344 .
- the guidance of the shoe is made by two parallel ribs extending in a direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the board. There are then two useful lengths of guidance.
- the invention applies analogically.
- the lateral guide is asymmetrical with respect to the X axis 344 .
- one end 342a G or 342b G of the useful guide length is spaced a length L 342G from the X axis 344
- the other end 343a G or 343b c is distant by a different length L 343G of the same axis X 344 , as represented on the figure 7 the ribs may be discontinuous.
- the edges 361a, 361b, forming the first positioning means cooperate with the grooves 341a, 341b, forming the first complementary positioning means.
- the screw 350 screwed into the base 360 forming a second positioning means cooperates with the through hole 344 forming the second complementary positioning means.
- the two positioning of the lateral guide are obtained with the same cooperation between the second positioning means and the second complementary positioning means.
- the lateral guide is provided with a first complementary positioning means cooperating with a first associated positioning means so as to guide the displacement of the lateral guide along a longitudinal translation axis of the sports machine and a second positioning complementary means cooperating with a second associated positioning means so as to block the displacement of the lateral guide along the translation axis.
- the longitudinal positioning of the lateral guide is essentially determined by its locking in translation, that is to say, by the association of the second complementary positioning means with the second associated positioning means.
- the guidance zone of the lateral guide is asymmetrical with respect to the second complementary positioning means which makes it possible to obtain two different longitudinal positions for the lateral guide from the same positioning means, namely, the second positioning means.
- stop in translation of the lateral guide is not limited to the embodiment described in FIG. figures 7 .
- Other solutions can be envisaged for these functions. For example, stopping in translation can be obtained through a clip.
- the positioning means may not be directly part of the sports machine. It can be part of a part integral with the sports machine as is the case of the second and third embodiment.
- the board may also have several sets of positioning means distributed along the board to increase the number of possibilities for adjusting the longitudinal position of the lateral guide. Each set of positioning means corresponding to two possible configurations for the assembly of the lateral guide.
- the lateral guide is secured directly with the ski and independently of the retaining device.
- These two elements being dissociated, they contribute less to stiffen the ski.
- the space between the two elements allows flexion of the board.
- the lateral guide and the retaining device are therefore easier to assemble on a cambered ski, without disturbing its characteristics.
- the complementary positioning means is disposed longitudinally between the two longitudinal ends of the lateral guide zone of the rear part of the shoe of the lateral guide.
- This guide zone corresponds to the useful guide length L G.
