In Fig. 1 ist ein Kraftfahrzeug 1 schematisch dargestellt. Indem die Fahrzeugdaten für jede vorgegebene Änderung im Kilometerstand an das Speicherelement 7 übermittelt und auf dem Speicherelement 7 gespeichert werden, wird nach einem Delta-Kilometerstand, in diesem Fall 100 km, ein Delta-Kilometerstand Trigger aktiv und ein zweiter Abspeichervorgang 12 wird eingeleitet. In diesem Beispiel erfolgt der erste Abspeichervorgang 11 bei W1 = 40 km und der zweite Abspeichervorgang 12 erfolgt 100 km später bei W2 = 140 km. Claims (5)

  1. Method for transmission of vehicle data in the form of odometer readings of a motor vehicle (1) to a memory element (7) with a counter, from which the odometer readings of the motor vehicle (1) are transmitted to the memory element at intervals and stored in the memory element, wherein the memory element of the motor vehicle can be removed, characterised in that, following transmission of the odometer readings, the counter adds up the difference between the last transmitted and the newly transmitted odometer reading and stores it in the memory element, wherein only positive differences between the last transmitted and the newly transmitted odometer reading are added up.
  2. Method according to claim 1, wherein the transmission of the vehicle data is effected by means of a transponder (8) and/or via an LF link (9).
  3. Method according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the vehicle data in the memory element are only writable and/or readable following authentication.
  4. Memory element (7) for storing data of a motor vehicle (1) in the form of odometer readings, wherein the motor vehicle has means for receiving the odometer readings that are transmitted at intervals, and a counter, characterized in that the counter is a counter which, after transmission of the odometer readings, adds up the difference between the last transmitted and the newly transmitted odometer readings, and, after transmission of the odometer readings, only adds up the positive differences between the last transmitted and the newly transmitted odometer readings, wherein the memory element is configured to store the positive, added-up differences.
