- A surface grinding machine (10), comprising at least one rotatably driven grinding disk (12, 22) having a work surface (20, 24), and also comprising a work piece holder (16) for holding a work piece (36) to be machined, characterized in that the work piece holder (16) is moved by a work piece holder drive (30) into a working area (14) that is delimited by the work surface (20, 24) and then is moved in the opposite direction, and a control device (48) that is designed to carry out a method as recited in any of the preceding claims is provided for controlling the work piece holder drive (30).
- The surface grinding machine (10) as recited in Claim 9, comprising two rotatably driven grinding disks (12, 22) each having a work surface (20, 24) which delimits the working area (14).
- An application of a surface grinding machine (10) for carrying out a method as recited in any of Claims 1 to 8.
