- This triggering means comprises firstly a mechanical triggering means, formed by a blade 5 extending longitudinally and positioned in a vertical plane, a first end of which is fixed on the rail 20 and the second end bears against the stop 4.
- the triggering means further comprises a latch formed by a locking lever 6 movable in rotation about an axis 7 and comprising a surface 8 which abuts in a central part of the blade 5 in a locked configuration, thus preventing buckling thereof .
- the lock comprises a control means 10 of electromagnet type or piezoelectric activator, which acts on a locking element 11 which cooperates with a hollow portion 9 of the blocking lever 6 so as to maintain it in the locked position. preventing its rotation about the axis 7 in a first position.
- the control means 10 makes it possible to modify the position of the locking element 11, as will be explained hereinafter.
- the second receiving element 2, for the stop or heel is independent of the triggering means.
- the figure 2 shows a base 30 in view from below.
- the base comprises two openings 21, 22 elongated in the longitudinal direction to receive not shown notches from the abutment and the heel piece, provided to be latched on the receiving elements 1, 2.
- the base has a central opening 25 in which is disposed the triggering means.
- the figure 3 represents the rail 20 fixedly mounted on the base 30, itself intended for attachment to the upper surface of a ski.
- the arrangement for triggering a fastener element is thus arranged in the thickness formed by the base and the rail. Alternatively, the arrangement could be directly arranged on the surface of the ski, without base or intermediate rail.
- the central portion 26 comprising the triggering means is closed to protect this mechanism.
- the triggering means comprises firstly a means for detecting a slow fall of a skier, not shown, which may be any means, in particular one of those known from the state of the art, the invention not involving not on this particular means.
- the detection means may be based on the measurement and analysis of the level of longitudinal force and the duration of this effort at the level of the stop or the heel piece as a function of time and / or the measurement of the 'acceleration.
- this means detects a slow fall of the skier, corresponding to a low but long effort, it controls the actuation of the control means 10 which acts on the locking element 11 to release the blocking lever 6. Following this action the triggering means is then in an unlocked configuration, in which it is active.
- the triggering means when the effort is large or when it is weak but of short duration, the triggering means is maintained in its locked configuration. Note, if the force is very important, it is possible to exceed the buckling threshold of the two portions of the blade 5 distributed on either side of the surface 8 of the blocking lever 6, and thus obtain the triggering of the fixing device.
- the triggering means thus behaves as a means with two trigger levels, allowing triggering in the event of a slow fall as well as triggering in the event of a violent fall. These two levels can be predetermined by the choice of the geometry of the triggering means, depending on the desired behavior for this means.
- the blade 5 is naturally chosen so that its buckling occurs beyond a threshold chosen to correspond to the minimum effort suffered in the event of a slow fall of the skier. For this, it is advantageous to choose this threshold in the range between 150 and 250 N.
- the blade 5 may be glass fiber, have a length between 140 and 220 mm, a width of about 8 mm, and a thickness included between 2 and 4 mm.
- the blade could alternatively be in another material, such as carbon or steel, adapting its dimensioning to achieve the performance mentioned above.
- the lock can be very simple and not very strong because it undergoes very little effort: indeed, the blade transmits little effort in the transverse direction.
- the overall architecture can be chosen so that the two blade portions distributed on either side of the surface 8 of the blocking lever resist a very great force exerted on the blade 5, preventing any buckling up to forces less than 1000 N.
- the solution has the advantage of reducing the high forces exerted on the blade in a much lower transverse force transmitted on the blocking lever 6 and the blocking element 11. If the locking / unlocking is implemented by a electronic means, low energy is sufficient, which is very advantageous. In addition, the locking element 11 receives an even lower effort due to its cooperation by a rotational movement of the blocking lever 6 with the latter. Alternatively, the locking means could come into direct contact with the blade, without intermediate locking lever.
- the blocking lever 6 After release of the triggering means, the blocking lever 6 is positioned laterally outside the arrangement, which allows the skier to easily view that the device is unlocked and not operational. Before his next use, he must reposition it in its initial locked configuration. For this, simply turn manually in the opposite direction of a quarter turn the blocking lever 6 in overcoming the relatively low transverse force exerted by the blade 5, until it comes to cooperate again with the lock 10 to find the configuration of the Figures 1 to 3 .
- the figure 5 illustrates a first embodiment of the first embodiment of the invention wherein the two receiving members 1, 2 of the abutment and the heel are both movable in longitudinal translation.
- the second receiving element 2 also comprises a rod 13 cooperating with a stop 14 positioned on the second end of the blade 5, whose first end remains connected to the rod 3 associated with the first receiving element 1.
- the two 3, 13 rods are superimposed one above the other, the two abutment 4, 14 being positioned between the two rods.
- the figure 6 illustrates a variant of the previous embodiment, wherein the blade is positioned in a horizontal plane and no longer vertical, in the rest position.
- the blade follows a curvature in a vertical direction and no longer in a transverse direction and occupy the remaining space between the base and the sole of the shoe.
- each portion of the blade distributed on either side of the stud may flare when the triggering means is unlocked.
- Various transverse stops 16 are arranged within the opening 25 of the base 30, and come into contact with one face of the blade 5 to direct its buckling towards the other face.
- the triggering means always comprises a lock acting on a blocking lever 6 as described above.
- the blade 5 In the buckling position as illustrated on the figure 8 , the blade 5 has two transverse displacements of opposite direction around the pad 15.
- This embodiment has the advantage of allowing a centered positioning of the blade, to remove any friction force that it could suffer.
- the position of the pad could be adjustable, to allow to modify the buckling properties of the blade 5, and to proceed to a setting of the trigger threshold.
- several studs could be arranged on the blade.
- FIGS. 9 and 10 illustrate a second embodiment of the invention, which differs mainly from the first embodiment in that the blade is replaced by a mechanical trigger means formed by two rods 31, 32 substantially aligned and extending in the longitudinal direction in locked configuration illustrated on the figure 9 .
- the second receiving member 2 of the abutment or heel has a bead wire 13 extending longitudinally to a stop 14.
- the first link 31 is fixed by an axis of rotation 34 on the rail 20 while the second link 32 is fixed on the movable stop 14 by an axis of rotation 35.
- the two rods 31, 32 are interconnected by an axis of rotation 33.
- the three axes 33, 34, 35 are substantially aligned .
- the axis 33 is slightly offset towards the center, in order to facilitate the tilting of the rods.
- the lock formed by the lever blocker 6 and the blocking element 11 is as in the first embodiment.
- the bearing surface 8 of the blocking lever 6 is at the level of the axis of rotation 33 connecting the two rods 31, 32.
- the operation of the triggering means thus obtained is similar to that of the first embodiment.
- the triggering means When the triggering means is unlocked, the two rods 31, 32 move in the transverse direction beyond a certain threshold of longitudinal force exerted.
- the architecture is defined so that the two links move in case of a slow fall of a skier.
- the figure 10 illustrates the position of the two rods 31, 32 in the trigger configuration.
- the Figures 11 and 12 illustrate a third embodiment of the invention, which combines the two previous modes of execution.
- the triggering means in fact comprises a mechanical triggering means comprising a blade 5 and two links 31, 32.
- the blade 5 comprises a first end resting on the base 30 and a second end fixed on the first link 31.
- the latter is connected to a second link 32 by an axis of rotation 33.
- the second link has an end connected to the rod 13 by an axis of rotation 35, itself connected to the receiving member 2 of the stop or the heel .
- the triggering means further comprises a lock comprising a locking lever 6 'comprising a bearing surface 8' coming into contact with the blade 5 and rotatable about an axis 7 '.
- a control means 10 makes it possible to block or not the rotation of the blocking lever 6 '. In the trip position, illustrated on the figure 12 , the two rods 31, 32 are no longer aligned, as in the previous embodiment, and the blade 5 is curved.
- This third embodiment has the advantage of combining the properties of the rods and an elastic blade.
- the blade is deformed in section. At first, it begins to flare towards the lock, then drives the link in a second time, then bends.
- This solution has a small footprint in both longitudinal and transverse directions.
- the arrangement has been provided within a base provided for attachment to a gliding board.
- it could be integrated directly into the structure of the gliding board, without the use of a base.
- the various components involved in triggering could have other forms.
- the receiving elements of a shoe retainer could be in a simplified form without a toothed portion.
- the mechanical triggering means could be different, including for example more than two rods.
- the translational movement of a receiving member of the stop or heel may have different amplitudes.
- a relatively small amplitude will be chosen, of the order of 9 mm, which is enough to release a shoe.
- each can do so at a reduced amplitude of 4.5 mm to obtain an equivalent result.
- the arrangement described allows displacements in longitudinal translation: however, it could be equivalent to provide displacements in different directions, or of a different nature, such as rotations of certain components.
- the arrangement described above is therefore particularly suitable for triggering a shoe attachment device, that is to say inducing the automatic release of a shoe from the fastener.
- This solution is well suited for a fastening device comprising a front retaining element and a rear retaining element as in the case of the ski.
- this arrangement is particularly well suited to be combined with the existing abutment and heel, in order to represent an additional triggering means, adding to the traditional spring-based mechanical triggering means already provided in the abutment and heel.
- This additional triggering means will then be provided to overcome the deficiencies of the traditional triggering means, in particular to obtain the triggering of the fixing device in case of a slow drop, as has been described above.
- the fixing device will thus have a first triggering means reacting beyond a first high intensity but low duration force threshold, corresponding to the existing triggering standards and a second triggering means. reacting beyond a second distinct threshold of effort at a lower intensity but longer duration.
- the triggering means according to the invention could be used in isolation or as a replacement for conventional triggering means, and could then be used to obtain the triggering of a fastener in situations other than slow fall.
- its two levels of triggering previously explained could thus be exploited.
- the threshold values could be adapted and different from the range given above.
- the same arrangement could be used for any other gliding board than the ski, or in combination with a single means of retaining front or rear of a shoe.
Description
The invention relates to an arrangement for triggering a shoe binding element for gliding board, such as for example a stop or a heel of a device for attaching a boot to a ski. It also relates to a shoe attachment device as such, and a gliding board as such, including such an arrangement for triggering.
A device for attaching a ski boot is intended to secure the ski boot of a skier on a ski. It includes a front stop which blocks the front of the shoe and a rear heel whose jaw is cooperating with a rear sidewalk of the sole of the ski boot. These two shoe attachment elements are provided with an automatic trigger mechanism that releases the shoe beyond a certain constraint, to avoid injury in case of a fall, for example.
Standards define maximum trigger values not to be exceeded for the automatic release of a shoe in such a secure fastening device. According to the state of the art, these triggers are implemented by the abutment and / or the heel via a mechanical means based on a spring, which induces an automatic rotational movement of the jaws in engagement with the shoe. under the effect of certain efforts above a certain predetermined threshold, in order to release the shoe. However, it turns out in practice that the only effect of the trigger spring is insufficient and many statistics show that improved fixations could reduce the number of injuries experienced by skiers. These traditional mechanical trigger solutions are notably effective in case of a slow fall of a skier, during which the forces transmitted to the fasteners may remain below the expected trigger threshold but extend over a long period.

The invention will be illustrated in the context of a device for attaching a boot to a ski corresponding to an alpine binding comprising a buttress and heel. It could, however, be implemented for the attachment of any shoe attachment element, also known as a shoe retaining element, on any snowboard, including snowboarding for example, according to any other fastening principle.
To facilitate the following description, we will use the longitudinal direction for the direction in the length direction of the shoe attachment arrangement, that is, in the direction of the shoe when it is attached to the shoe board. slides, from the back to the front, the transverse direction for the horizontal direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The vertical direction is perpendicular to the other two directions and upward.
On the other hand, the receiving
According to an essential element of the invention, the arrangement further comprises a triggering means allowing the release of a shoe.
This triggering means comprises firstly a mechanical triggering means, formed by a
The triggering means further comprises a latch formed by a locking

The operation of this arrangement will now be explained.
The triggering means comprises firstly a means for detecting a slow fall of a skier, not shown, which may be any means, in particular one of those known from the state of the art, the invention not involving not on this particular means. For example, the detection means may be based on the measurement and analysis of the level of longitudinal force and the duration of this effort at the level of the stop or the heel piece as a function of time and / or the measurement of the 'acceleration. When this means detects a slow fall of the skier, corresponding to a low but long effort, it controls the actuation of the control means 10 which acts on the locking
As a remark, the solution has the advantage of reducing the high forces exerted on the blade in a much lower transverse force transmitted on the blocking

This third embodiment has the advantage of combining the properties of the rods and an elastic blade. The blade is deformed in section. At first, it begins to flare towards the lock, then drives the link in a second time, then bends. This solution has a small footprint in both longitudinal and transverse directions.
Following the above description, it is clear that other embodiments can be imagined, including combining the different variants described above. In addition, other architectures could be envisaged without departing from the scope of the invention. In particular, the arrangement has been provided within a base provided for attachment to a gliding board. Alternatively, it could be integrated directly into the structure of the gliding board, without the use of a base. In addition, the various components involved in triggering could have other forms. For example, the receiving elements of a shoe retainer could be in a simplified form without a toothed portion. The mechanical triggering means could be different, including for example more than two rods. The translational movement of a receiving member of the stop or heel may have different amplitudes. Advantageously, a relatively small amplitude will be chosen, of the order of 9 mm, which is enough to release a shoe. In the case where the two receiving elements are free to move, each can do so at a reduced amplitude of 4.5 mm to obtain an equivalent result. On the other hand, the arrangement described allows displacements in longitudinal translation: however, it could be equivalent to provide displacements in different directions, or of a different nature, such as rotations of certain components.
The arrangement described above is therefore particularly suitable for triggering a shoe attachment device, that is to say inducing the automatic release of a shoe from the fastener. This solution is well suited for a fastening device comprising a front retaining element and a rear retaining element as in the case of the ski. Thus, this arrangement is particularly well suited to be combined with the existing abutment and heel, in order to represent an additional triggering means, adding to the traditional spring-based mechanical triggering means already provided in the abutment and heel. This additional triggering means will then be provided to overcome the deficiencies of the traditional triggering means, in particular to obtain the triggering of the fixing device in case of a slow drop, as has been described above. In such a case, the fixing device will thus have a first triggering means reacting beyond a first high intensity but low duration force threshold, corresponding to the existing triggering standards and a second triggering means. reacting beyond a second distinct threshold of effort at a lower intensity but longer duration.
Alternatively, however, the triggering means according to the invention could be used in isolation or as a replacement for conventional triggering means, and could then be used to obtain the triggering of a fastener in situations other than slow fall. In particular, its two levels of triggering previously explained could thus be exploited. In such a case, the threshold values could be adapted and different from the range given above.
In addition, the same arrangement could be used for any other gliding board than the ski, or in combination with a single means of retaining front or rear of a shoe.
