Die Erfindung betrifft auch eine Wäschebehandlungsmaschine wie Waschmaschine, Waschtrockner oder Trockner, mit einem Gehäuse, mit einer durch eine Tür verschließbaren im Wesentlichen kreisförmigen Gehäuseöffnung und einem in dem Gehäuse angeordneten, im Wesentlichen zylinderförmigen Behälter zur Aufnahme der zu behandelnden Wäsche mit einer im Wesentlichen kreisförmigen Behälteröffnung, einer Düse zum Einsprühen von Dampf, einem am oder im Behälter angeordneten Temperaturerfassungsmittel und einer Einrichtung zur Erzeugung von Dampf, die einen Heizkörper, eine Eintrittsöffnung und eine Austrittsöffnung für Dampf umfasst, der über eine Düse im Bereich Randes der Behälteröffnung in den Innenraum des Behälters einspritzbar ist, und einer Steuereinrichtung zum Steuern des Wasserzulaufs zur Dampferzeugungseinrichtung und des Heizkörpers, und einem Bedienmittel zum Aktivieren der Dampferzeugungseinrichtung, wobei die Steuereinrichtung dazu eingerichtet ist, die Auswahlmöglichkeit für das Bedienmittel zum Aktivieren der Dampferzeugungseinrichtung zu unterbinden nach dem oben genannten Verfahren. Hierbei umfasst die Steuereinrichtung einen Mikrokontroller, bei dem die Funktion zur Bereitstellung des oben genannten Verfahrens mittels eines Computerprogramms bereitgestellt wird, dass in einem Programmspeicher des Mikrokontrollers abgespeichert ist.
