Definitions
- the invention relates to a fire-resistant glazing to prevent the passage of fire and smoke in case of fire from one room to another, with at least two horizontally and / or vertically aligned leaving a joint to each other arranged fire protection panels, each constructed from two spaced, parallel glass panes are, whose closed interior is filled with a particular gel-like fire retardant, wherein in the formed between the abutment surfaces of the fire doors joint a fire-retardant insulating agent is arranged.
- Fire-resistant glazings are translucent components designed to prevent not only the spread of fire and smoke, but also the inadmissible transfer of heat, according to their fire resistance duration.
- fire protection panes are used, which are constructed in multiple layers of glass panes with a respective interposed fire protection layer (intumescent). In case of fire, this fire protection layer is activated. It absorbs heat radiation and forms a highly effective insulating layer.
- the foaming fire protection material exits from the abutting surfaces of the fire protection pane and closes the gap left in each case to the adjacent fire protection pane so that flames, smoke and heat can no longer pass through. Disadvantageously works with built-up such fire protection glass fire-resistant glazing of the smoke and fire lock only due to the exit of the intumescent fire protection material in the joint areas.
- EP 1 194 673 B1 discloses a fundamentally differently structured fire-resistant glazing, are used in the fire-resistant glass plate units consisting of several float glass panes with in between arranged fire protection layer of a gel-like, aqueous alkali metal silicate mass are constructed. These gel layers do not foam in the event of fire. Rather, such fire protection layers are glass wall side provided with a groove in which a barrier material is used for moisture and airtight sealing of the fire retardant used.
- a plurality of glass panes and a plurality of interposed fire protection layers are used with elaborate wall-side barrier to butt.
- each fire protection glass plate unit which abut indirectly on the side edges and the remaining side edges are held on a component, each fire protection glass plate unit is constructed of spaced, parallel glass panes, between which a fire retardant is arranged.
- a fire-retardant Isolierstoffan Aunt is introduced between the over the butt joint opposite side edges of the fire protection glass panel units.
- Each fireproof glass panel unit is constructed of two in the manner of an insulating glass pane assembly by means of spacers and a PU edge seal at a distance and held together ESG panes whose interior is filled with a gel as a fire retardant, wherein in the joint between the at least two fire protection glass panel as Isolierstoffan ever fire-retardant ceramic insulating tape is inserted.
- the invention is in the light of this prior art, the object of the invention to develop a fire-resistant glazing using the fire-resistant glass plate units described, which is simple in construction, a further increased security against the passage of fire and smoke and ensures such increased stability in the Fire offers that larger widths, as well as in particular larger heights for large-scale fire-resistant glazing can be achieved and thus an extended structural freedom is achieved.
- the object is achieved according to the invention by the fact that the fire protection panes are held in the edge region on both sides by a respective profile, that the opposing profiles cover the gap formed between the fire panes or the fire protection pane and the adjacent raumbegrenzenden structure and that the opposing Profiles are thermally separated exclusively connected to each other via the serving as an insulating fire barriers. Due to the all- and two-sided mounting of the fire protection windows in the edge area under cover of the respective joint an extraordinary improvement in the stability of the fire-resistant glazing is achieved and thus allows the construction of large-scale glazing.
- the opposing profiles are each connected to the two fire protection windows or the fire protection pane and the adjacent space-limiting structure by means of a silicone sealant in the sense of a stability-enhancing bonding on the one hand and to protect the joint on the other.
- the width of the joint is expediently greater than 6 mm, preferably greater than 10 mm.
- a plurality of fire protection windows horizontally and / or vertically aligned with each other and each in the edge region of the associated joint overlapping by arranged on both sides of profiles being held. It is particularly advantageous to design the profiles as hollow steel profiles.
- the fire panes are made of single-pane safety glass with U-shaped spacers and a PU edge seal and is inserted in the joints area a fire-retardant ceramic insulating tape as insulating.
- the insulating agent may also consist of mineral wool or intumescent material in the form of strips. It is advantageous to produce the U-shaped spacer as gelresistentem fire-resistant plastic.
- FIG. 1 is a view of a fire-resistant glazing according to the invention
- Fig. 3 is a section along line B-B of Fig. 1 and
- the fire protection glazing shown in Fig. 1 of the drawing in the form of a fire wall is suitable and intended to prevent the passage of fire and smoke in case of fire from one room to another. It is a large-scale glazing, which is composed of a total of eight fire protection windows 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, which are arranged in a vertical plane in alignment next to each other and one above the other. In this case, the arrangement of the fire protection glass to each other is basically such that between adjacent edges a gap of greater than 6 mm is left, as further explained below with reference to the sectional drawings.
- the fire-resistant glazing in its entirety is kept, for example, in a wall recess of a building or attached directly to side walls and the ceiling and the floor of a building room.
- the fire protection panels 1 to 8 may have different dimensions and according to the architectural requirements, as Fig. 1 illustrates, are combined.
- comparatively long fire protection plates 1 and 7 are arranged extending in the vertical direction or horizontal direction and there are square fire protection panels 6 and 8 arranged vertically one above the other, and - to gain height - with a rectangular fire protection screen 4 in vertical Combined direction, and finally other combinations of rectangular fire protection panels 2, 3 and 5 are shown schematically in Fig. 1 in order to illustrate the variability of the possible arrangements and the constructive freedom granted thereby.
- the fire protection windows 1 to 8 are constructed identically. They differ only in shape and dimensions. By way of example, therefore, the construction of the fire protection pane 1 will be described below with reference to FIG. 2 of the drawing:
- the fire protection pane 1 consists of two parallel spaced apart disks 9 and 10 of single-pane safety glass. Between the discs 9 and 10, a U-shaped spacer 11 made of fire-resistant and fire-resistant plastic is circumferentially arranged. The spacer 11 is set back slightly inwards in relation to the edges of the two disks 9 and 10. The circumferential groove formed thereby is filled by a PU edge seal 12, so that the two tempered glass panes 9 and 10 are fixed to each other to form a closed interior in the manner of insulating glazing. To achieve the desired fire protection properties of this interior 13 is filled with a gel-like fire retardant, which is known per se and therefore not described in detail. In contrast to other fire-resistant glass foams the gel-like fire-retardant in case of fire and can not leave the described interior 13 of the fire protection pane.
- a gel-like fire retardant which is known per se and therefore not described in detail.
- the gel-like fire-retardant in case of fire and can not leave the described interior
- Fig. 2 section along line AA of Fig. 1 illustrates the arrangement of the two fire protection panels 1 and 2 in alignment next to each other, between the two panes 1 and 2, a butt joint 14, that is, a distance left, by a fire-retardant insulating agent is closed.
- a fire-retardant insulating agent it is the fire-retardant insulating agent to two ceramic insulating tapes 15 and 16, which prevent heat transfer and passage of smoke from the fire side of the fire-resistant glazing on the side facing away from the fire in case of fire.
- the butt joint 14 is thus closed smoke and fire.
- the two fire protection panels 1 and 2 leaving the butt joint 14 in the same plane next to each other and the butt joint 14 is closed by the ceramic insulating tapes 15 and 16.
- the two fire protection disks 1 and 2 are held by hollow steel sections 17 and 18, which are glued to the edge regions of the two disks 1 and 2 by means of a silicone sealing compound 19.
- the hollow steel profiles 17 and 18 cover the joint 14 on both sides, the silicone sealing compounds 19 protect the insulating material located in the joint 14 against external influences due to the sealing effect.
- Fig. 3 of the drawing shows in section the holder of the superposed fire protection panels 6 and 4 by means of hollow steel profiles, being dispensed with a more detailed description due to the identity of the structure to the steel profile bracket of FIG.
- the arrangement of the fire protection panels 4 and 6 on each other via not shown, per se known blocks made, wherein in the butt joint 14 as shown in FIG. 2 ceramic insulating tapes 15 and 16 are arranged.
- Fig. 4 of the drawing shows the wall-side steel profile bracket of the fire protection panel 4, which is constructed in principle identical to the above-described holder, with only the wall as raumbegrenzende structure instead of the second (adjacent) fire protection glass occurs and in the butt joint 14 to the wall remaining cavity filled with non-combustible mineral wool 20. All steel profiles of the steel profile bracket are welded together at the joints or otherwise held together or wall, floor and ceiling side secured by screw according to Fig. 4.
- the described embodiment makes it possible to create a fire protection partition F of a height H of more than 3 m, in the example of 4 m, without further stability-increasing measures, with the complete thermal separation of the opposing steel hollow sections and the effect of contiguous fire panels as an insulating layer in Fire case of fire and smoke-tight completion is ensured.
