Definitions
- the invention relates to a grinding machine, comprising a machine frame with a workpiece support surface and at least one movably mounted on the machine frame, extending transversely over the workpiece support surface grinding beam, which carries on its side facing the workpiece support surface an abrasive and via an eccentric which at least two perpendicular to the Workpiece support surface directed and spaced in the longitudinal direction of the sanding bar eccentric waves, in a parallel to the workpiece support surface circular motion parallel to itself is driven in rotation.
- a grinding machine of this kind is for example from the EP 543 947 B1 known.
- the sanding bar is arranged on the eccentric drive on a carrier, which in turn is mounted on the machine frame via a second eccentric drive.
- the two eccentric drives run at different speeds, so that the grinding bar executes two overlapping circular movements of different diameters and different rotational speeds.
- overlying and possibly non-linear grinding marks are to be generated in order to avoid the occurrence of significantly protruding grinding marks in the grinding pattern.
- the overlapping eccentric drives require a high design effort.
- there is the problem that large quantities flying on bearings are eccentrically set in rapid rotation and the resulting imbalance can only be compensated incompletely with counterweights. As a result, the grinding machine is put into strong vibrations during operation.
- the invention has for its object to provide a grinding machine of the type mentioned, in which with less effort a good grinding result can be achieved and the aforementioned disadvantages are avoided.
- the sanding bar is divided into at least two mutually parallel, side by side arranged sanding shoes, which are each driven by the eccentric shafts of the eccentric, the eccentricities of the individual shoes associated eccentric and the masses of the sanding pads are chosen so that that the centrifugal forces resulting from the powered sanding shoes compensate each other.
- the sanding bar has two sanding shoes of the same mass, wherein the eccentricities of the eccentrics assigned to the two sanding shoes are the same size but offset by 180 ° with respect to the drive axes. This ensures a perfect mass balance.
- Each sanding pad acts as a counterweight to the other sanding shoe, so that the occurrence of imbalance caused vibrations is prevented.
- the opposing movement of the two sanding pads causes the sanding marks resulting from the abrasive grain of the two sanding pads to be superimposed on the workpiece surface in a complex manner, thereby achieving a high-quality sanding result.
- the sanding bar has three sanding pads of the same mass, the two outer are rigidly connected together for a common movement and the eccentricity of the middle shoe associated eccentric twice as large as the eccentricity of the outer sanding shoes associated eccentric and 180 ° opposite this is offset.
- This solution provides a more complex overlay of grinding marks with full mass balance.
- An essential advantage of the solution according to the invention is that such a grinding result is achieved with a single eccentric drive.
- a sanding bar assembly 16 Transverse to the workpiece feed direction A extends across the width of the workpiece support surface a sanding bar assembly 16 which includes two parallel to each other sanding shoes 18.
- the two sanding pads 18 carry on their underside, ie, the workpiece support surface 12 side facing an abrasive 20 (FIG. Fig.2 ) and are suspended via a generally designated 22 eccentric drive on a workpiece support surface 12 spanning portal 24 of the machine frame 10.
- the eccentric drive 22 comprises two drive or eccentric shafts 26 which are driven by a motor 28 via a belt 27 or a chain and which are each connected via an eccentric arrangement 30 to the two sanding shoes 18.
- An eccentric 30 is now based on the Fig.2 be explained in more detail.
- Each sanding pad 18 is connected on its upper side to a support 32, which in turn has two arms 34, each holding a ball bearing 36.
- a support 32 which in turn has two arms 34, each holding a ball bearing 36.
- the outer race 38 of the ball bearing is fixedly connected to the respective arm 34, while the inner race 40 is seated on an eccentric 42.
- the eccentric bushes 42 of the superimposed in alternating order ball bearing 36 on the two carriers 32 are penetrated by the drive shaft 26, as Fig.2 shows.
- the eccentric bushes 42 are aligned so that the same large eccentricities X of the two carriers 32 and the two pads 18 associated eccentric with respect to the axis 44 of the drive shaft 26 are offset by 180 ° from each other.
- eccentric bush 42 could of course also be provided on the drive shaft 26 a correspondingly eccentric collar.
- Figure 3 shows the two sanding shoes 18 with the largest possible mutual distance, ie in a position of the eccentric assembly 30, in which the eccentricities are directed perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the two sanding shoes 18.
- the axis 44 of the drive shaft 26 connected to the two eccentrics 1 and 2 lies in a longitudinal center plane between the two sanding shoes 18.
- Figure 4 shows the same arrangement after rotation of the shaft 26 by 90 °.
- the eccentricities X now extend parallel to the longitudinal direction of the two sanding shoes 18.
- the two sanding pads 18 perform identical circular orbital movements in a plane parallel to the workpiece support surface 12, each with an opposite direction of movement. In conjunction with the fact that the workpiece 14 passes the two sanding pads 18 successively as they move, and the feed rate of the workpiece 14 is not in any constrained relation to the orbital motion of the two sanding pads 18, there is an irregular overlay of the two sanding pads 18 resulting grinding marks on the workpiece surface, so that you get a high quality grinding result.
- the structure of the grinding machine according to the invention is much simpler and allows an at least almost perfect weight balance during operation of the grinding machine.
- the Figure 6 shows one of the Fig.2 corresponding representation of a second embodiment of the invention, wherein like parts are again provided with the same reference numerals and will not be described again.
- the embodiment according to Figure 6 differs from that of Figs. to 5 in that the sanding bar 16 comprises not two, but three sanding shoes 18 which are arranged parallel to one another and next to one another.
- the two outer sanding shoes are fastened by bolts 46 to a common extended arm 34 'and rigidly connected together by this arm 34' so that they move together.
- the extended arm 34 ' is rigidly connected to the uppermost arm 34 of the eccentric assembly 30 in a manner not shown, so that the two outer sanding shoes 18 as in the case of each sanding pad in the embodiment according to the Fig. 1 to 5 is mounted eccentrically in two places on the drive or eccentric shaft 26.
- the middle sanding pad 18 is fastened via bolts 48 to the lowermost arm 34 and mounted eccentrically on the drive shaft 26.
- This lowermost arm 34 is rigidly connected in a manner not shown with the arranged on the other side of the extended arm 34 'arm 34, so that the middle sanding pad 18 is again mounted in two places on the drive shaft 26.
- the outer sanding shoes 18 and the middle sanding shoe 18 each have the same mass.
- the overall arrangement formed by the two outer sanding shoes 18 thus has twice the mass as the middle sanding pad 18 alone.
- the eccentricity Y of the eccentric bushings 42 for the middle sanding shoe 18 is twice as large as the eccentricity X of the eccentric bushes 42 and offset by 180 ° with respect to the eccentricity X.
- the value for X is 1 mm and the value for Y is 2 mm. Otherwise, however, the arrangement works according to Figure 6 in the same way as those according to the Fig. 1 to 5 , During one revolution, the middle sanding pad 18 approaches that in the Figure 6 shown center position once the right sanding pad 18 and once the left shoe 18 of the arrangement formed by the two outer shoe pads.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a grinding machine, comprising a machine frame with a workpiece support surface and at least one movably mounted on the machine frame, extending transversely over the workpiece support surface grinding beam, which carries on its side facing the workpiece support surface an abrasive and via an eccentric which at least two perpendicular to the Workpiece support surface directed and spaced in the longitudinal direction of the sanding bar eccentric waves, in a parallel to the workpiece support surface circular motion parallel to itself is driven in rotation.

In addition, there are numerous solutions in which several grinding units are arranged one behind the other, so that the grinding tracks caused by the grinding units are superimposed on each other. These solutions require a high design effort.
The invention has for its object to provide a grinding machine of the type mentioned, in which with less effort a good grinding result can be achieved and the aforementioned disadvantages are avoided.
This object is achieved in that the sanding bar is divided into at least two mutually parallel, side by side arranged sanding shoes, which are each driven by the eccentric shafts of the eccentric, the eccentricities of the individual shoes associated eccentric and the masses of the sanding pads are chosen so that that the centrifugal forces resulting from the powered sanding shoes compensate each other.
The solution according to the invention makes it possible to produce overlapping, non-linear grinding tracks with a single eccentric drive. In the simplest case, the sanding bar has two sanding shoes of the same mass, wherein the eccentricities of the eccentrics assigned to the two sanding shoes are the same size but offset by 180 ° with respect to the drive axes. This ensures a perfect mass balance. Each sanding pad acts as a counterweight to the other sanding shoe, so that the occurrence of imbalance caused vibrations is prevented. At the same time, the opposing movement of the two sanding pads causes the sanding marks resulting from the abrasive grain of the two sanding pads to be superimposed on the workpiece surface in a complex manner, thereby achieving a high-quality sanding result.
According to another embodiment, the sanding bar has three sanding pads of the same mass, the two outer are rigidly connected together for a common movement and the eccentricity of the middle shoe associated eccentric twice as large as the eccentricity of the outer sanding shoes associated eccentric and 180 ° opposite this is offset. This solution provides a more complex overlay of grinding marks with full mass balance. An essential advantage of the solution according to the invention is that such a grinding result is achieved with a single eccentric drive.

The
