Außerdem ist es aus der Praxis bekannt im Fördersystem einen Drehteller unter dem Folienzuführkopf anzuordnen, so dass der Gutstapel entsprechend gedreht werden kann. A method for wrapping stacks of goods (1) with a film (2), wherein film is fed from a feeding head base (6) of a film feeding head (3), for wrapping a first stack of goods (1), in particular of a non-square stack of goods (1) comprising the dimensions L · B, wherein a film portion (13) is severed from the film (2) and wherein this film portion (13) is pulled over the first stack of goods (1),
    wherein film (2) is initially fed from the feeding head base (6) to a film storage (11) of a manipulating device (7) of the film feeding head (3) for subsequently wrapping a second stack of goods (1), in particular a non-square stack of goods (1) comprising the dimensions B · L, which is rotated by 90° relative to the first stack of goods, wherein a film portion (13) provided for at least one covering process is stored in the film storage (11) and wherein the film portion (13) is severed from the film (2),
    wherein the manipulating device (7) is subsequently rotated relative to the feeding head base (6) provided that the film portion (13) can be pulled over the second stack of goods (1) and wherein the film portion (13) is then released from the film storage (11) and is pulled over the second stack of goods (1),
    characterized in that one end of the film portion (13) stored in the film storage (11) is sealed, while the manipulating device (7) is rotated.
  13. The method according to claim 12, characterized in that the film portion (13) is opened during or after the rotation of the manipulating device (7).
