Description

The invention relates to a housing of a vacuum cleaner according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such vacuum cleaners are well known. The housing is generally for receiving a dust bag, a fan and a cable drum. Known vacuum cleaners according to the preamble of claim 1 open a dust chamber for receiving the dust bag above the level of the largest housing width and are double-shelled.

Out DE 102005016416 A1 a vacuum cleaner housing is known, which in a contact area, which identifies the largest dimensions of the vacuum cleaner housing in terms of its extension in all driving or sliding directions, is provided with an elastic buffer consisting of two types of plastic.

Furthermore, in DE 102004024817 B3 discloses a vacuum cleaner with a multi-part device housing, in which a motor fan room and a dust collection chamber is formed, consisting of a lower housing part and a housing upper part, wherein a dust chamber enclosing downwardly directed wall portion of the upper part is received in a bottom portion of the dust chamber enclosing seal on the lower part. According to a particular embodiment of this device housing is proposed to form the seal on the lower part as a U-profile.

There are also vacuum cleaners are known in which the dust chamber opens at the bumper level or the level of the largest housing width. In these, a single-shell design of the housing walls is structurally relatively simple to implement, but the housing walls are made relatively powerful. Therefore, the known designs mean a reduction of the interior for receiving dust bag, blower and cable drum by double wall on the one hand and massive housing walls on the other. Often this provides sufficient space for one or two of the components, with one component often being a fan room for receiving the fan. In order to insulate this acoustically without obstructing the air flow, the largest possible blower chamber is needed. However, this is often at the expense of the space available for the other components.

For double-shell housing parts, high, straight walls must be made, which can not be made arbitrarily thin, as this can be problematic with an injection molding tool. There are also high, thin walls that are double-shelled Housing emanate vertically from a bottom of the housing, particularly prone to material shrinkage after casting.

Accordingly, it is an object of the invention to avoid the abovementioned disadvantages or at least their effects, and in particular to provide a vacuum cleaner in which the housing walls are made stable and at the same time narrow and space-saving, in order to allow optimum space utilization.

For this purpose, in a vacuum cleaner with a housing which comprises a first and a second housing part, wherein the first housing part is designed as a lower housing part and the second housing part as a cover frame, wherein the cover frame has an opening for attaching a lid, provided the following: The housing lower part and the cover frame are each formed a single shell. The lower housing part comprises a cross-sectionally U-shaped profile for receiving a lower edge of the cover frame. The U-shaped profile is formed undercut in the lower housing part.

The advantage of the invention consists in the space available for fan, dust bag and / or cable drum. At the same time resulting from the single-shell construction, a material savings and a reduction in weight of the vacuum cleaner. In addition, the injection cycle is reduced because less high walls need to be formed. The fan room can be lined with a large amount of insulation material that does not hinder the flow of air. Due to the space gain, there are expanded possibilities for forming stiffening ribs which give the housing additional stability.

Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims. Relationships used here point to the further development of the subject-matter of the main claim by the features of the respective sub-claim; they should not be construed as a waiver of obtaining independent, objective protection for the feature combinations of the dependent claims. Furthermore, with a view to an interpretation of the claims in a closer specification of a feature in a subordinate claim, it is to be assumed that such a restriction does not exist in the respective preceding claims.

Preferably, the U-shaped profile surrounds at least one space for receiving a dust bag - dust space - and a motor fan - fan room - individually or along a common outer peripheral line. In this way, the dust chamber and fan chamber can be made sufficiently dense to avoid power losses due to flow losses.

Preferably, a partition wall is formed between the dust space and the blower chamber, wherein the U-shaped profile in each case circulates the dust space and the blower space, and wherein the partition wall comprises two mutually parallel U-shaped profiles. As a result, the dust chamber and the fan chamber can be sealed separately from each other.

If the U-shaped profile is formed in each case undercut in the dust space or in the fan chamber, space is created in both spaces below the U-shaped profile, which can be e.g. for stiffening ribs, or in the dust compartment of the dust bag, or in the blower room for insulation material can be used. Due to the fact that the U-shaped profile is also undercut on a wall of the fan chamber facing a cable drum space and not formed in the cable drum space, the cable drum does not need to be shifted outwards so that the vacuum cleaner can be made narrower overall in this area. On a wall between the cable drum space and the blower chamber, the U-shaped profile can also extend above a level which is at the level of the radius of the blower. This level is generally above one largest housing width of the vacuum cleaner. The distance between the wall to the cable drum space can be minimized so that the space below the U-shaped profile can be used for the fan.

Preferably, the U-shaped profile extends along an outer side of the housing lower part at the height of a largest housing width of the vacuum cleaner. Due to the U-shaped profile, the stability can thus be optimally increased in this area.

On the cover frame can be pre-assembled in the U-shaped profile insertable seal. By this seal, an additional sealing of the resulting spaces when assembling the cover frame and lower part of the housing can be achieved.

Preferably, the seal is provided for sealing the fan chamber, since in this way flow and thus power losses can be particularly effectively avoided.

Preferably, an inner side of the lower housing part in the dust chamber or in the fan chamber comprises a plurality of longitudinal ribs and / or transverse ribs as stiffening, which increase the stability of the housing.

When the lower housing part is lined in the blowing chamber with an insulating material between the longitudinal ribs and / or the transverse ribs and a lower edge of the U-shaped profile, an improved acoustic insulation results without reducing the size of the dust chamber or the cable drum space. The cover frame can be in one Area in which he forms a top for the blower chamber, also be lined with insulation material.

The insulating material is preferably in one piece and provided with cuts for a passage of the longitudinal ribs and / or the transverse ribs. This allows for easy insertion and, if necessary, removal of the insulating material as well as good flow properties through a more level surface.

If an open side of the U-shaped profile at least in sections on one or both upper edges has a directed to an inside of the U-shaped chamfer profile, the cover can be particularly easy to use in the U-shaped profile.

The lower housing part may include on at least one outer side surface below the U-shaped profile a recessed from a surface of the housing base receiving device for a floor nozzle, wherein the receiving device is integrally formed with the housing lower part. This receiving device can thus be formed equal to the injection molding of the housing base, so that no subsequent manufacturing steps for forming a receiving device are necessary.

FIG. 1a shows schematically simplified an external view of a vacuum cleaner 10 according to an embodiment of the invention. The vacuum cleaner 10 comprises a housing 12 which comprises a first housing part - housing lower part 14 - and a second housing part - cover frame 16. On an upper side of the cover frame 16, a lid 18 is also attached, with which the vacuum cleaner 10 is closed. The vacuum cleaner 10 is shown here in an open position, in which, for example, a dust bag in a dust chamber 20 (FIG. FIG. 3 ) of the vacuum cleaner 10 can be used. For the user, the dust chamber 20 is accessible only via the lid 18.

-In FIG. 1b the vacuum cleaner 10 is shown in a closed position in which the lid 18 is closed. -

In FIG. 2 now the lower housing part 14 is shown in a plan view and FIG. 3 shows the lower housing part 14 in a perspective view. The lower housing part 14 is embodied in a single shell and comprises a cross-sectionally U-shaped profile 22 for receiving a lower edge 24 (FIG. FIG. 5 The U-shaped profile 22 extends at least partially along an outer side 26 of the lower housing part 14. In the lower housing part 14 are formed by a first, second and third partition wall 28, 30, 32 different spaces, namely the dust chamber 20, a Blower chamber 34 and a cable drum space 36 for receiving a respective dust bag (not shown), a blower 38 ( FIG. 9 ) or a cable drum (not shown). The U-shaped profile 22 rotates individually the dust chamber 20 and the fan chamber 34, wherein the second partition wall 30th between the dust and fan chambers 20, 34 on a section two mutually parallel U-shaped profiles 22, 22 'comprises. This is in relation to FIG. 6 explained in more detail below.

In FIG. 3 is also shown that the U-shaped profile 22 is not everywhere at a height, but especially along the partitions 28, 30, 32 in the interior of the housing base 14 at a higher level than on an outer side 26 of the housing base 14. At an outer Side surface 40 of the lower housing part 14 is a recessed from a surface 42 of the housing base 14 receiving device 44 for a floor nozzle (not shown) formed integrally with the housing lower part 14. The receiving device 44 is also also formed on the opposite outer side surface of the housing lower part 14. In the explanation to FIG. 7 this receiving device 44 will be explained in more detail. On an inner side 45 of the lower housing part 14 transverse ribs 46 and longitudinal ribs 48 are formed. The injection molding process for undercut training of the U-shaped profile 22 in the housing base 14 allows the shaping of these transverse and longitudinal ribs 46, 48, which contribute to the stability of the single-shell walls.

FIG. 4 shows the cover 16 in a view from below, and FIG. 5 shows a perspective view of the cover 16, which is also executed single-shell. An opening 50 of the cover frame 16 is at its top in the ready-to-use, dust-bagged vacuum cleaner 10 (FIG. FIG. 1a ) with the lid 18 ( FIG. 1a ) locked. The lower edge 24 of the cover 16 is received during assembly of the vacuum cleaner 10 of the U-shaped profile 22. The cover frame 16 therefore also includes the partition walls 28, 30, 32 of the lower housing part 14 corresponding frame sections 52, 54, 56, 58, which are received by the U-shaped profile 22 on the partitions 28,30, 32. These frame sections 52, 54, 56 likewise delimit the dust, blower and cable drum chambers 20, 34, 36. Two frame sections 54, 56, which run at least partially parallel to one another, are formed in the region of the frame section 52 between the dust chamber 20 and the blower chamber 34. which are received by the two U-shaped profiles 22, 22 'on the second partition wall 30 between the dust and fan chambers 20, 34.

In FIG. 6 a longitudinal section through the vacuum cleaner 10 is shown, in which the dust chamber 20 and the fan chamber 34 are shown. In addition, the second partition wall 30 between the dust chamber 20 and the fan chamber 34 is shown, which comprises at its upper edge two U-shaped profiles 22, 22 '. The U-shaped profiles 22, 22 'of the second partition 30 are formed undercut in the dust chamber 20.

FIG. 7 shows an outer side 60 of the vacuum cleaner 10 (FIG. FIG. 1a ) in a section of a cross section through the dust chamber 20, in which a part of the lower housing part 14, the cover 16 and the lid 18 is shown. In a region in which the lid 18 meets the cover frame 16, a seal 61 is arranged. The lower housing part 14 and the cover 16 are each constructed einschalig. The U-shaped profile 22 is formed undercut in the dust chamber 20 and extends at the height of a largest housing width. In addition, transverse ribs 46 are shown on an inner side of the dust chamber 20 on the lower housing part 14 and cover frame 16, which provide additional stability of the single-shell walls of the housing base 14 and cover 16.

In FIG. 7 is also a part of the receiving device 44, which recedes below the U-shaped profile 22 from the surface 42 of the housing base 14, shown. The receiving device 44 terminates in the inward direction in the housing lower part 14 approximately at the level of the transverse ribs 46, so that the use of the interior by the receiving device 44 is not further limited.

Figure 7a shows a section FIG. 7 which enlarges the U-shaped profile 22 of the housing base 14 represents. The U-shaped profile 22 has at an upper edge 62 in the dust chamber 20 a directed toward an inner side 64 of the U-shaped profile 22 chamfer 66. This facilitates the insertion of the cover 16. The cover 16 is similar to a tongue and groove connection inserted into the U-shaped profile 22 and seals directly with the U-shaped profile 22 from.

In FIG. 8 is another portion of the outside 60 of the vacuum cleaner 10 (FIG. FIG. 1a ) is shown in a section of a cross section through the fan chamber 34. Therein, the single-shell housing lower part 14 and the single-shell cover frame 16 are shown. The U-shaped profile 22 is located at the height of the largest housing width and is undercut formed in the blower chamber 34. In the U-shaped profile 22 is located between the cover 16 and the lower housing part 14, a seal 68. The cover 16 is tapered in the area in which the seal 68 is provided, so that sufficient space for the seal 68 is given. Above the seal 68 of the cover 16 abuts on the outside 60 of the vacuum cleaner 10 but on the inside 64 of the U-shaped profile 22 at. The seal 68 provides additional sealing of the blower compartment 34 to reduce power losses. In general, the gasket 68 is preassembled on the cover frame 16 when the cover frame 16 is inserted into the U-shaped profile 22 on the housing base 14.

FIG. 8a shows a section FIG. 8 in which the U-shaped profile 22 with the seal 68 on the cover frame 16 is shown enlarged. This is a chamfer 70 at the Inside 64 of the U-shaped profile 22 directed side of the upper edge 62 of the U-shaped profile 22 can be seen.

In FIG. 9 is an inner wall 72 of the vacuum cleaner 10 (FIG. FIG. 1a ) is shown in a section of a cross section through the fan chamber 34. The inner wall 72 corresponds to the third partition wall 32 between the fan chamber 34 and cable drum space 36. The blower 38 is shown schematically simplified. On the third partition wall 32, the U-shaped profile 22 extends above an impeller radius 74 and is formed undercut in the blower chamber 34. On the third partition wall 32, a transverse rib 46 is also formed below the U-shaped profile 22 and below a height of the blower radius' 74. The space below the U-shaped profile 22, in turn, may be exploited for the blower 38, which has a substantially cylindrical outer contour of radius 74, by minimizing a distance 76 between the blower 38 and the third divider 32. Characterized in that the U-shaped profile 22 is formed undercut in the fan room 34 and not in the cable drum space 36, it does not collide with a cable drum (not shown), which in such a case further outward, ie further away from the third partition wall 32 away would have to be. By virtue of the U-shaped profile 22 formed in an undercut manner with respect to the blower chamber 34, the vacuum cleaner 10 has a small housing width, without limiting the space available for the cable drum (not shown) or the blower 38.

FIG. 10 shows the same inner wall 72 or third partition 32 as FIG. 9 wherein the blower 38 (FIG. FIG. 9 ) is not shown here. At the third partition wall 32 is now below the U-shaped profile 22 an insulating material 78. In the insulating material 78 is an incision 80 to allow passage of the transverse rib 46. The transverse rib 46 and the U-shaped profile 22 are obscured by the insulating material 78 and do not obstruct a flow of air generated by the fan 38. In addition, but not shown, the insulating material 78 may also be attached to a bottom surface 84 of the housing base 14. The insulating material 78 generally lines the entire blower compartment 34 by being mounted in the housing base 14 below the undercut U-shaped profile 22. This results in a particularly good acoustic insulation without reducing the size of the fan chamber 34.

Thus, the invention can be briefly illustrated as follows: It is a housing 12 of a vacuum cleaner 10, which comprises a first and a second housing part, wherein the first housing part is designed as a lower housing part 14 and the second housing part as a cover 16, wherein the lower housing part formed einschalig is and comprises a cross-sectionally U-shaped profile 22 for receiving a lower edge 24 of the cover frame, and the cover frame 16 has an opening 50 which is closable with a lid 18, indicated in which the cover 16 is formed einschalig and in which the U-shaped profile 22 is formed undercut in the lower housing part 14.
