Description

The invention relates to a window, according to the preamble of independent claim 1.

Accordingly, it is a window with a sash and a frame, wherein the sash is in a closed state of the window in fluid communication with the frame and on the underside of the frame, a drainage opening for discharging in-frame water is provided.

Improving the airtightness of buildings, developing new windows, and improving the exterior wall is also accompanied by a reduction in indoor air exchange rates. For this reason drainage of condensation water via drainage devices in windows and doors is essential. In addition, despite the sealing profiles provided in the windows and doors, it is unavoidable that rainwater or condensation water penetrates past the sealing profile and has to be led out of the intermediate area of the glazing. Of course, the drainage must be carried out in such a way that the condensate to be discharged is discharged in the direction of the outside of the window or the door.

The known from the prior art drainage devices often represent only slots or holes in the frame profile of windows and doors. These slots or holes are usually located on the underside of the frame profiles and form an interface to the outside of the window. In order to remove water deposits on the drainage opening from the frame profile, however, it is necessary to attach a second opening in the frame profile. This second opening (also referred to as "vent") is used to allow for the removal of condensation from the frame profile, a pressure equalization. The vents are preferably mounted in the upper part of the frame. A window with a second opening in the frame profile is for example from the GB 1 295 535 A known, which describes an article according to the preamble of claim 1. In the case of the dewatering devices known from the prior art, it is disadvantageous that the thermal insulation of the frame profile is reduced by the provision of a separate vent opening. Furthermore, it is possible that in strong wind the water to be discharged is forced by the air flow in the frame profile. Nevertheless, it is not possible with the known from the prior art vent opening to ensure rapid drainage. This is especially problematic if there is a direct passage connection between the outside and the inside profile chamber of the frame profile. A direct through connection often occurs in frame profiles in lightweight construction, since they have as few structural elements in the interior of the frame profile. Thus, for example, to dispense with additional sealing elements in the interior of the sash or frame profiles and thus created a direct passage connection between the outside and the inside profile chamber. This through-connection can contribute to the fact that the water does not - as usual - on the outside but on the room side.

From the problem described above, the present invention seeks to provide a window in which the aforementioned disadvantages do not occur. Accordingly, it is an object of the invention to construct a window with a drainage opening, which allows a quick discharge of condensed water and is easy to implement.

The technical problem underlying the present invention is achieved by a window according to independent claim 1.

Accordingly, the window according to the invention is characterized in that the drainage opening has a first area for the outlet of water in the frame, and a second area for pressure compensation.

An advantage of the device according to the invention is the rapid drainability of water deposits in the interior of the frame profile. In addition, it is not necessary to provide a separate vent, which increases the insulating properties of the window or the door. Less drilling on the outside of the frame construction results in a more aesthetic overall appearance of the outside front of the window. Above the second region of the drainage opening, a shaft element is provided, which is designed to at least partially surround the second region of the drainage opening, for shielding against the water in the frame. The provision of a shaft element results in a height offset between the two areas of the drainage opening. In other words, the opening of the second area is at a higher level than the opening of the first area. Thus, even with accumulation of condensation in the drainage hole, it is impossible for the second portion of the drainage hole (i.e., the vent hole) to be covered by said condensation water. Consequently, it is always possible to provide pressure equalization over the second region of the drainage opening, even in the case of larger water deposits, in order to allow drainage of condensed water.

Preferred developments of the device according to the invention are specified in the subclaims.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the window according to the invention, the shaft element has a cuboid, open in the horizontal direction structure. Such a constructed shaft element offers the advantage of ease of manufacture and can be in addition, z. B. in the case of constipation, very easy to clean. The cuboidal shaft element can be glued or screwed onto the second region of the drainage opening. Of course, it is also possible to manufacture the shaft element together with the frame profile from one piece.

In a further realization of the window according to the invention, the shaft element is designed to offset the second region of the drainage opening in the vertical direction by at least 5 mm relative to the first region. The condensation in the cavity can thus accumulate up to a maximum height of 5 mm, before the shaft element and thus the second area is covered. This height is particularly advantageous because it corresponds to the height of the glass receiving bar common frame structures.

In an advantageous further development, the shaft element further comprises an end cap which is attached to the top of the shaft element and designed to prevent clogging of the second region of the drainage opening by dripping condensation water. Such an end cap is intended to transform the opening direction of the manhole element from the vertical plane to the horizontal plane. Accordingly, it is not possible that the condensation, which flows down in the vertical plane, covering the second region of the drainage opening and thus prevents pressure equalization. In other words, the protective cap protects the shaft element from dripping condensation water. Alternatively, however, it is also conceivable that the protective cap is made in one piece with the box element.

In a particularly advantageous implementation of the window according to the invention, the window on the outside on a layer protection, which is designed to cover the drainage opening. Since drainage holes must necessarily be mounted on the outside of the frame profile, it is advantageous for aesthetic reasons To equip the hole or the slot of the drainage hole with a layer protection. Such a screen can either be made in one piece with the frame or a cap, which can be subsequently placed on the frame, represent. This screen conceals the drainage opening and also provides protection against wind from the outside of the window.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the window according to the invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

Hereinafter, a drainage device for windows and doors will be described in detail with reference to the drawings in the accompanying drawings. In the accompanying drawings, identical or equivalent components are provided with the same reference numerals.

A well-known from the prior art window 1 a drainage opening 4 is in Fig. 1 shown. Shown is a cross section through the window 1, in which a section through the frame profile of a casement 2 and the frame profile of a window frame 3 can be seen. The sash 2 is connected to the window glass 10, while the frame 3 is attached to a not explicitly shown house facade. The frame as well as the wing frame white respectively on the inside and outside profile chambers, which are interconnected by the insulating webs 11a, 11b interrupted to increase the insulating properties of the frame profile. In the closed position of the window, located at the contact points between sash 2 and frame 3 seals 7a, 7b, which serve to increase the air-tightness of the windows. In the space between casement 2 and frame 3, a common cavity 6 is formed in the closed state of the window, in which condensation, which collects in the frame profile or between the window glass panes 10, can proceed in the direction of the drainage opening 4.

With respect to the drainage opening 4 is in Fig. 1 at the bottom of the frame, in the lower frame part, a hole or a slot shown. Through a drainage opening 4 constructed in this way, condensate water to be discharged from the frame profile can run off in the vertical direction.

In order to allow a discharge of condensed water from the drainage opening 4, a vent opening 5 must be provided in the frame profile. Such a vent opening 5 serves to produce a pressure equalization in the interior of the frame profile when draining the condensate through the drainage opening 4. As in Fig. 1 shown, it is known from the prior art to provide the vent 5 in the upper part of the frame profile 3. It is customary, for example, that the vent opening 5 is realized by removing a seal 7 a, at the upper part of the frame profile 3. Of course, such a solution is only possible if the upper frame part is fluid-conductively connected to the lower frame part. That is, in this embodiment, it is not possible to interrupt the frame profile by further isolation webs, for example in the corner regions of the window.

In the window according to the invention, it is not necessary to provide a vent opening 5 in the upper part of the frame profile 3. As in Fig. 2a shown, the drainage opening 104 of the window 100 according to the invention is limited exclusively to the lower frame part 3. In detail, the drainage opening 104 has a first portion 104.I for the discharge of condensed water and a second area 104.II for pressure equalization. These two areas 104.I, 104.II may, for example, be two parallel slots or elongated holes which are arranged along the lower part of the window frame profile 3. The drainage opening 104 is therefore interrupted in two parts, of which the first area 104.I forms a path for the drainage of the water, while a second area 104.II serves as a vent opening.

In order to prevent the second area 104.II from being covered by condensation water, it has a shaft element 110a, 110b which is designed to increase the height of the opening of the second area 104.II in relation to the opening of the first area 104.I. offset. In other words, the shaft element 110a, 110b shields the second area against the condensation water in the cavity 6 and thus guarantees that a pressure equalization over the second area 104.II is possible at any time.

Advantageously, the shaft element 110a, 110b is designed in such a way that it displaces the second region 104.II by at least 5 mm in relation to the first region 104.I. That is, the condensed water may accumulate in the cavity 6 to a maximum height of 5 mm before covering the well element 110a, 110b and thus the second region 104.II. Of course, it is possible to make the height of the shaft element 110a, 110b as desired in the context of the profile dimensions and thus to adapt it to an application-specific maximum condensate level. The above-mentioned 5 mm offset correspond, for example, the height of the glass receiving strip.

In a first embodiment, as in Fig. 3a illustrated, the shaft member 110a has a cuboid, open in the horizontal direction structure. Like in the FIG. 2a is shown schematically, covers the in FIG. 3a indicated bottom opening 111 the entire opening area of the second portion 104.II the Entwäsungsungsöffnung 104 and shields this up to the height of the head opening 112 against the condensation.

A development of the shaft element 110b is in the Fig. 3b shown. In this case, in contrast to the shaft element 110a, the shaft element 110b has a protective cap 113 which protects the second region 104.II from condensation water that runs down therefrom. The protective cap 113 is attached to the top of the well element 110b. The equalizing air flow is deflected by the shaft member 110b from a vertical flow direction in a horizontal flow direction and leaves the shaft member 110b via the side port 114. Advantageously, also in this embodiment, the side port 114 is mounted at a height of 5 mm.

For aesthetic reasons, as in Fig. 2a and 2 B is shown, a screen 120 may be provided. The privacy 120 is attached to the outside of the window and serves to cover the drainage opening 104. In particular, the privacy screen 120 may be implemented as part of the glare or sash frame 2, 3. Alternatively, it is conceivable that the privacy screen 120 is a separate component, which can be releasably attached to the frame if necessary. Such a screen 120 may further be configured so that it also acts as a windbreak. In this context, the screen 120, which is designed as a windshield, shields the drainage opening 104 from gusts of wind. Accordingly, it can be prevented that the running condensation in the first region 104.I is pushed back by the wind in the interior of the frame profile.

The invention is not limited to the embodiments shown in the drawings and described above, but results from a synopsis of all features disclosed herein.
