Claims (11)
- A frame (2) of a plastic window (1) or plastic door, comprising- an outer frame (3) made from plastic outer frame profiles,- a sash frame (4) made from plastic sash frame profiles,- a centre seal (5), which is disposed in a rebate area (9) between the outer frame (3) and the sash frame (4) and which comprises a main body (10) and a lip (11), which abuts against a stop surface of the sash frame (4) forming a continuous chamber (13) on the room-facing side and a continuous chamber (14) on the weather-facing side,characterised in that the centre seal (5) further comprises a tab (12) at a distance from the lip (11), facing the sash frame (4), which tab does not abut against the sash frame (3), and the distance between sash frame (5) and tab (12) is no more than 2 mm.
- The frame according to claim 1, characterised in that the tab (12) has an elastically deformable connecting region (17).
- The frame according to claim 2, characterised in that the elastically deformable connecting region (17) extends along the entire length of the tab (12).
- The frame according to claim 2, characterised in that the tab (12) comprises a tab body (18), which is integrally moulded on to the main body (10) of the centre seal (5) via the elastically deformable connecting region (17).
- The frame according to claim 4, characterised in that the tab body (18) is solid or has an internal cavity.
- The frame according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the main body (10), in cross-section, has a construction comprising at least two hollow chambers.
- The frame according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that a thermoplastic elastomer represents the material of the centre seal (5).
- The frame according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the centre seal (5) is welded together with the outer frame profile in the corner regions of the outer frame (3).
- The frame according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the centre seal (5) further comprises a foot (15), which is drawn in to a seal-accommodating groove (16) of the outer frame (3).
- The frame according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the main body (10) of the centre seal (5) is formed as a protrusion (19) of the outer frame (3), wherein lip (11) and tab (12) are extruded on to the protrusion (19).
- The frame according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the main body (10) of the centre seal (5) is extruded on to the outer frame (3) by coextrusion.
