Claims (4)

  1. A folding unit (10) comprising a cutting device (11) for separating individual panels (12) from a printing material web (13), comprising a folding blade cylinder (14) and a folding jaw cylinder (15), for attaching a transverse fold to a panel (12), and comprising a further cutting device (18), wherein the further cutting device (18) consists of a cutting cylinder (19) comprising at least one knife bar (22) and a cutting strip cylinder (20) comprising at least one cutting strip (23), characterized in that the folding jaw cylinder (15) transfers transversely folded panels (12) to a conveying device (17) for transporting the transversely folded panels (12) in the direction of the further cutting device (18), and that the further cutting device (18) has its own drive, which is independent of the folding unit (10).
