Abstract

The bar or lock-bar (1) has a control mechanism with a carrier cooperating with a C-shaped connecting rod (6) by a connecting unit. The rod is extended above and/or below a case where the mechanism is housed. A set of openings is cut from an end part of the rod to define a rack for receiving a conjugated tooth by interlocking along a direction perpendicular to a plane of the rod, where the tooth corresponds to another rack equipping an end (5) of the carrier. Description

The invention relates to a cremone or espagnolette-lock without a headrest comprising, housed in a housing, a control mechanism comprising at least one driver cooperating via connecting means with at least one operating rod C extending to above or below said housing.

The present invention will find application in the field of building hardware and relates, more particularly, to a cremone or espagnolette-lock without headrest.

I1 already exist many cremone or espagnolette-locks provided, in particular, to be housed in a recessed groove joinery rabbet, very often, a door leaf or window.

Such cremone or espagnolette-lock usually comprises a housing housing the control mechanism and on which can act a user through a suitable handle. In the context of a espagnolette-lock, it can still be controlled via a key cylinder.

Anyway, this control mechanism is provided to act on at least one operating rod extending above and / or below said housing.

More specifically, if the mechanism can intervene directly on such operating rods then engage in the casing of the espagnolette or espagnolette lock, this mechanism comprises, very frequently, at least one trainer to which can be connected, in the upper part and / or in the lower part of the housing, an operating rod via suitable connecting means.

This or these operating rods usually move in the recess groove of the joinery, sheltered by a headrest which can extend in front of the casing of the control mechanism of the espagnolette or espagnolette-lock.

Thus, this headrest, of width generally greater than that of the operating rod, is housed in the recess groove by bearing on the recesses that comprise the side walls of this groove borrowing a T-shape.

As for the connecting means connecting a driver of the drive mechanism to an operating rod, they can adopt different embodiments.

Thus, it is particularly known to provide teeth at the side edges of the operating rod, in its end portion for cooperating with the drive mechanism of the espagnolette or espagnolette-lock. These teeth are likely to coincide with the teeth that has, on its lateral sides, a connecting housing equipping the trainer. Such a connection box generally has a U-shaped section with a groove having a bottom and two lateral flanges. It is precisely at the level of these lateral flanges that are provided the teeth provided to cooperate with those on the side edges of the operating rod which rests on the bottom of this groove of said connecting housing.

The assembly extending under a headrest, it prevents the disengagement of the operating rod of the connecting case by displacement in a direction perpendicular to the plane in which are substantially inscribed this or these rods maneuvering. There is the problem of the connection between such operating rods, also in the form of C-section profiles, with a driver of the control mechanism housed in the housing of said espagnolette or espagnolette-lock.

Indeed, the operating rod is derived from a metal strip in the form of a strip whose longitudinal edges are folded giving it the C-shaped structure and defining under this operating rod a T-shaped groove lined on either side by hanging flanges.

For this purpose the invention relates to a cremone or espagnolette-lock without headrest comprising, housed in a housing, a control mechanism comprising at least one driver cooperating via connecting means with at least one operating rod cs extending above or below said casing, characterized in that in an end portion of said operating rod is cut a succession of openings so as to define a rack for receiving by interlocking in a perpendicular direction in the plane of said operating rod, a tooth of conjugate shape corresponding to a rack fitted to the driver, said espagnolette or espagnolette-lock further comprising retractable locking means designed capable of preventing any disengagement of said operating rod relative to to the coach after interlocking their respective racks.

The advantages resulting from the present invention consist in that the openings in the operating rod intended to define a rack designed adapted to cooperate with the teeth of a rack that includes the trainer can be designed by stamping, as soon as the manufacture of said operating rod.

As shown in the Figures 1 to 5 of the attached drawing, the present invention relates to a cremone or espagnolette-lock 1 of the type without headrest, intended to be housed in a recess groove (not visible in the drawings) in carpentry rabbet, for example in rabbet of the amount before a door opening or window.

Thus, this cremone or espagnolette-lock 1 comprises, housed in a housing 2, a control mechanism 3 that has not been considered useful to represent in detail.

Anyway, this control mechanism 3 comprises at least one driver 4 whose one end 5 extends above and / or below the housing 2 to cooperate with an operating rod 6 extending precisely above or below this housing 2 for the control of locking and unlocking any locking members.

As already mentioned above, the invention relates more particularly to espagnolette or espagnolette-locks without headrest. In this case, the operating rod or rods 6 generally use a C-shaped section. More particularly, this or these operating rods 6, frequently obtained from a metal strip, have its lateral edges 7, 8 folded over. , as visible in the figure 5 , so as to define, under this operating rod 6, a T-shaped groove 9 defined by fastening flanges 10, 11.

With these, co-operate, usually retaining flanges coming to equip, laterally, a guide shoe that includes fasteners 12 contributing to the maintenance and the fixing of such operating rods 6 in the recessed groove groove of carpentry.

An operating rod 6 cooperates with the driver 4 via connecting means 13 which advantageously consist, at an end portion 14 of this operating rod 6, in a series of openings 15 defining a rack 16, more particularly in the form of a ladder, and in which is provided capable of coming to engage a toothing 17 of conjugate form of a rack 18 which is provided at its end 5 extending beyond of the case 2, the coach 4.

It is understood, moreover, that only a portion of the openings 15 of the rack 16 corresponding to the operating rod 6 can be engaged on the toothing 17 of the rack 18 corresponding to the driver 4. In this way it can be adjusted the length of the output of the operating rod 6, at an upper or lower end of the joinery equipped with the espagnolette or espagnolette-lock 1.

Indeed, it is common that at its end opposite the housing 2, the operating rod 6 is equipped or defines a locking end which, in the locked position of the espagnolette or espagnolette-lock, is provided to engage in a waste.

Advantageously, such locking means 20 are constituted by a shoe 21 slidably mounted on the rear face 22 at this end portion 14 of the operating rod 6 in a suitable manner, in a locking position 23 illustrated in FIGS. Figures 3 and 4 , to extend behind the end 5 of the driver 4 so as to trap this end 5 of the driver 4 between the shoe 21 and said operating rod 6. Thus, if under the effect of constraints whatever, the teeth of the toothing 17 corresponding to the rack 18 tried to disengage from the openings 15 of the rack 16, the end 5 of the driver 4 would abut against the shoe 21 preventing this recess.

Thus, the shoe 21 may be provided with lateral retaining flanges 24, 25 designed to cooperate with the hooking flanges 10, 11 on the rear face 22 of the operating rod 6, to ensure its sliding along the latter. as the fastening device or devices 12. Moreover, as will be explained further in the description, this shoe 21, defining the locking means 20 may be associated with such a fastening device 12.

According to another feature of the invention, rear face 26 of the blade 19, at the end 5 of the driver 4, extends a retaining stop 27 on which is expected to engage the shoe 21. The latter comprises, for this purpose, a U-shaped structure with an internal groove 28 open in the direction of the operating rod 6. With the bottom 29 of this groove 28 cooperates the retaining stop 27 in the blocking position 23 of the shoe 21. This retaining stop 27 is configured, advantageously, V-shaped, facilitating in particular the engagement of the shoe 21 on the latter.

In addition, it should be noted that if the shoe 21 can be pushed back from an unlocking position 30, illustrated in FIGS. Figures 1 and 2 , in a position of blocking 23, visible in Figures 3 and 4 it can also be made integral displacement of the operating rod 6 once the espagnolette or espagnolette-lock mounted on the joinery.

According to yet another feature of the invention, the espagnolette or espagnolette-lock comprises indexing means 31 of the locking position 23 and / or unlocking 30 of the locking means 20, on the one hand, to maintain these funds in their unblocked position before assembly and combination of an operating rod 6 to the housing 2 of a espagnolette or espagnolette-lock 1, then to ensure that these locking means have been pushed back into the locking position after assembly.

According to an advantageous embodiment, such indexing means 31 consist, at the level of the operating rod 6, in an oblong opening 32 terminating at its ends by openings 33 of larger section to the width of the oblong opening 32.

Furthermore, at the shoe 21, these indexing means 31 consist of an indexing latch 34 designed capable of cooperating with said openings 33 to ensure its immobilization relative to the headrest 6 in the positions 23 and / or unblocking 30, while being able to be retracted relative to these openings 33 to allow movement of the shoe 21.

Thus, this indexing latch 34 may be pivotal in nature. In this case, it may be of length adjusted to the section of the circular openings 33 and width adjusted to the width of the oblong opening 32.

This indexing latch 34 can therefore, by rotation, be brought into a position allowing its circulation along the oblong opening 22 to reach one or the other end of the latter and, therefore, one or the other. another aperture 33 corresponding, respectively, to the unlocking 30 and locking 23 positions.

As illustrated in the drawings, this latch 34 may also be of a type that can be resiliently biased from the shoe 21, of which it is integral, in one or the other of these openings 33. Thus, if necessary, the user can, conversely, elastically push this latch 34 in an unlocking position, towards the shoe 21, this from the front face of the rod 6, in order to ensure the necessary displacements of said shoe 21.

When the shoe 21 is secured to a fastener 12, the indexing latch 34 is designed, advantageously, breakable nature.
