Abstract

The striker (1) has a set of housing openings (8, 8A) that is provided as a T-section for reception of a T-shaped locking roller in a locking position. The set of housing openings is delimited by bottom that extends from two closed parallel side walls (13, 14). A covering blade (27) is arranged for defining fixing return units (15, 16) opposite the bottom of the side walls. An adjustment unit (25) adjusts distance separating the bottom of the return units. The adjustment unit is formed by the covering blade that is elastically deformable.

Description

The invention relates to a striker, in particular for a cremone or espagnolette-lock type locking fitting or the like, comprising at least one T-shaped opening opening for receiving, in at least one locking position of a T-lock roller. , said housing being delimited by a bottom from which extend two side walls completed, each by a return hooking.

The present invention will find application in the field of building hardware and relates to locking fittings of the type espagnolette or espagnolette-lock, in particular the locks equipping such cremone bolts.

In the usual manner, it is known in the field of lock fittings, of the cremone or espagnolette-lock type, to equip the operating rod or rods of these cremones or espagnolette locks of locking members in the form of rollers suitable for cooperate with latches of adapted configuration.

More particularly, in a frequent arrangement, these strikes are reported on the frame of a door or window, while the espagnolette or espagnolette-lock equips at least one of the opening of the latter. When closing the French window, thus pushing the door leaf (s) on the frame, and actuating the espagnolette or espagnolette-lock, it follows the engagement of the roller or rollers in their corresponding lock on the frame. The door or window is then at least partially closed.

More precisely, at least one roller is engaged in a housing in the form of an opening cutout, formed in the base that includes such a striker. This cutout adopts a "U" section and is delimited by a bottom and two side walls between which the body of the roller is inserted.

To improve the security and promote the attachment between the locking member and the striker, it is quite common to give the roller a T-section, the housing in the keeper having a suitable shape T. More precisely, the side walls delimiting the housing in the striker, comprise, on their upper edge, a return hooking under which is inserted the head of such a roller T.

With such a configuration, it is understood that this roller is held in its keeper with respect to a displacement both parallel and perpendicular to the plane of the striker, preventing any recess.

If, as appears from the foregoing description, this configuration improves the cooperation between roller and striker, however, there is the problem of the engagement of the one in the other despite the numerous defects of adjustment between opening and sleeping carpentry type door or window.

It is understood, indeed, that to allow the engagement of such a T-roller in its striker, it is appropriate, when the door is closed on the frame, that, not only, the roller can be inserted through the opening opening in the housing of the striker, therefore between the two side walls delimiting this housing, but, moreover, that the head of the roller is positioned at the right height to be able to slide under the return hooks that comprise these walls side.

In this respect, in order to compensate for the numerous adjustment defects of a joinery and in particular to compensate for subsequent maladjustments, means are already provided for adjusting the positioning of the T-roller with respect to the operating rod. of which he is in solidarity. In this case, these adjustment means allow, often, to intervene in an axial and transverse direction on the roller T.

The transverse adjustment is usually obtained via an eccentric, while the axial adjustment can arise from a telescopic T-type roller, that is to say a roller consisting of two axially adjustable parts relative to the other elastically or mechanically.

Another solution is to assign this adjustment function to the operating rod itself provided with said T-roller. Thus, this operating rod can be provided sufficiently elastic to give the roller sufficient axial mobility allowing adjustment accordingly with respect to the striker when interlocking.

As is clear from the solution according to the state of the art of defining the T-roller in the form of several parts adjustable between them, it is of particularly complex design. To this, it should be remembered that such rollers correspond to parts of very small size, provided, for all that, to be strongly stressed during different locking and unlocking maneuvers.

In addition, these rollers must provide a tear resistance sufficient to achieve the degree of security required for espagnolette type locks or espagnolette locks.

As for the solution of giving the maneuvering rod sufficient elasticity to allow a roller an adjustment relative to its keeper, does not respond more to the constraints in the field. Indeed, such rods maneuver are also made to transmit significant efforts that require sufficient rigidity incompatible with the flexibility that advocates this solution of the prior art.

Another solution, described in the document DE 10 2004 062558 concerns a keeper comprising two housings opening with a T-section for receiving a T-lock roller in at least one locking position. Such a housing is delimited by a bottom from which extend two substantially parallel side walls each terminated by a return hooking. This keeper comprises, on the one hand, a support plate defining the bottom of this striker and, on the other hand, a covering blade, folded so as to adopt a "U" shape, and defining the returns of and the side walls which comprise guiding tongues movable through the support plate. This waste has, also, means for adjusting the position of the return hooks relative to the bottom.

These adjustment means are designed to adjust the distance between the bottom and the hooking edges and ensure a permanent immobilization of these hooking edges at a determined distance relative to this bottom. However, these adjustment means do not make it possible to remedy the many faults of adjustment between opening and frame of a carpentry which, although the distance between the hooking edges and the bottom is properly adjusted, have the effect of hindering the sliding of the head of the roller under the hooking edges of the striker. Again and to remedy these adjustment defects, it gives the drive rod sufficient elasticity to allow a roller adjustment relative to its keeper, with the same disadvantages as those already mentioned above.

It is within the framework of a first inventive step that we have imagined associating, not with the roller, but with the waste, the functionalities of adjustment necessary to palliate the problems of squareness and adjustment of a opening door or window relative to its sleeping frame.

In addition, according to the state of the art, it is common to reduce the cost of manufacturing a keeper with T-housing to design it, not in one piece, but in two parts and, in particular, a base and a cover plate. This design greatly facilitates the blankless molding of the base, while the cover plate is designed by simple stamping.

Finally, it is within the framework of another inventive step that the present invention has been able to take advantage of this known design of T-roller strikes, to give them functionalities hitherto associated with such a T-roller.

An additional feature relates to the fact that the cover plate, on the one hand, extends in a plane parallel to the bottom of the housing (s) of the keeper, respectively perpendicular to the side walls of the housing (s) of the keeper and, on the other hand, is movable in a direction perpendicular to this bottom, respectively parallel to these side walls.

Yet another feature consists in that said cover blade comprises, at the right of the housing, a cut defining two elastic branches corresponding to the snap returns able to depart by elasticity of the bottom to adjust their distance relative to the latter.

An additional feature is that the striker comprises, on the one hand, a base provided with one or more through-slots and having the bottom and the side walls extending from this bottom and, on the other hand, the blade covering mounted on said base, this movably.

The advantages resulting from the present invention consist, by conferring on the striker adjustment means previously associated with the T-lock roller, a design of the latter much less complex, besides it gains in mechanical strength.

The present invention still allows the design of a locking fitting having high rigidity operating rods for the transmission of locking forces and more important unlocking.

Another advantage is that the adjustment means that includes the striker according to the invention allow a dynamic adjustment (particularly during the locking and unlocking maneuvers) of the distance between the bottom and the hooking edges, this in contrast to a static and permanent adjustment provided by the latch adjustment means of the state of the art.

Yet another advantage is that the adjustment means of the distance separating the bottom of the attachment flanges are constituted by a cover blade. The fact of defining adjustment means in the form of such a cover plate advantageously makes it possible to propose a lock fitting keeper whose design is considerably simplified compared to that of the strikes of the state of the art. .

In addition, this cover blade is elastically deformable, which advantageously makes it possible to avoid the need for additional return means, such as for the strikes of the state of the art.

Finally, it will be observed that the strikes for locking fittings must ensure proper locking of an opening on a frame. To do this, these locks must, in particular, have a high mechanical resistance to burglary (especially tearing as mentioned above). The person skilled in the art would, therefore, naturally tend to make particularly rigid strikes and would have no tendency to consider an elastically deformable element. However, advantageously and surprisingly, such an elastically deformable covering blade makes it possible to confer on the striker according to the invention the mechanical strength necessary to resist burglary, this because of the fact that, even if the blade of cover deforms, it remains in engagement with the roller and prevents the recess of the opening.

Other objects and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following description relating to exemplary embodiments given by way of indication and not limitation.

As shown in the figures of the attached drawing, the present invention relates to a striker 1 for lock fitting type espagnolette or espagnolette-lock.

For example, such a striker may be provided to be fixed in a rabbet of a door or window frame so as to cooperate with a T-type roller member 2. Such cooperation occurs under the action of an operating rod 3 corresponding to a cremone or espagnolette-lock and which is secured to this roller T 2. This has been illustrated schematically in the figure 2 from the drawing attached.

Thus, this striker 1 comprises a base 4 having means 5 enabling it to cooperate with the joinery in order to fix it on the latter. For example, such a base 4 may be provided, at its lower part, a shoe 6 through which the striker 1 can be anchored in a groove of suitable section fitted rabbet of this joinery. In addition, these fastening means 5 may be completed by one or more openings 7 for the passage of a fastening screw, a rivet or the like.

This striker 1 further comprises at least one opening opening (8, 8A), T-section for receiving, in at least one locking position, such a roller T 2. In the embodiments shown in the figures attached drawing, the strike 1 comprises, symmetrically with respect to a transverse median plane 9, two housings (8, 8A) each with a through end (10, 11).

Such a housing (8, 8A) is delimited by at least one bottom 12 from which lateral guiding walls (13, 14) extend, more particularly substantially parallel, each terminating in a hooking back ( 15, 16), more particularly at the edge opposite the bottom 12.

As indicated by its name, the roller T 2 comprises a rod or roller 17 whose one end is secured to the operating rod 3 and whose opposite end 18 ends with a flange 19. This is section 20 greater than the section 21 of said rod or roller 17 so as to define, along the roller 2, a recess 22 which, in cooperation with the return hooks (15, 16), prevents the release of the roller in T 2 of the striker 1, in an axial direction 28 to said roller 2, thus perpendicular to the plane of the striker 1.

In contrast, the passage width 23 delimited between the return hooks (15, 16) is adjusted to the section 21 of the rod 17 of the T-roller 2 to allow engagement of the latter in the housing. (8, 8A), from the emergent end 10, respectively 11. In addition, the distance separating the lateral guide walls (13, 14) is determined at least equal to the section 20 of the flange 19 terminating the T-roller 2 .

It should also be noted that, at the level of this emergent end (10, 11) of the housing (8, 8A), said lateral guide walls (13, 14) flare out to facilitate engagement of said T-roller. 2.

Similarly and as visible in the figure 2 , at this emergent end (10, 11) of a housing (8, 8A), the return hooks (15, 16) comprise, preferably, an engagement chamfer 24 for the purpose, in cooperation with the T-roller 2, to promote the engagement of the flange 19 under these return hooks (15, 16).

In fact, to compensate for squareness defects in the joinery resulting from manufacturing or sagging tolerances in use, the striker 1 comprises, according to the invention, means 25 for adjusting the distance 26 separating the bottom 12 of a housing (8, 8A) return hooking (15, 16).

Substantially, these return hooks (15, 16), defined at the end opposite the bottom 12 of the lateral guide walls (13, 14), are delimited by a cover blade 27. In fact, this blade of overlap 27 defines the return hooks (15, 16), this at the end opposite the bottom 12 of the lateral guide walls (13, 14), more particularly above these lateral guide walls (13, 14). .

Another feature of the invention is that this cover blade 27 is elastically deformable.

As mentioned above, the keeper 1 according to the invention comprises adjustment means 25de the distance 26 separating the bottom 12 of a housing (8, 8A) of the return hooks (15, 16). According to the invention, these adjustment means 25 are constituted by such a resiliently deformable cover blade 27.

Another feature is that this cover blade 27 is movable.

In this regard, it will be observed that said cover blade 27 extends in a plane and is then movable in a direction 28 perpendicular to this plane.

As mentioned above, the keeper 1 comprises a bottom 12 and side walls (13, 14).

Also and according to another characteristic, said cover blade 27 extends in a plane parallel to the bottom 12 of the housing (8, 8A) of the striker 1, respectively perpendicular to the side walls (13, 14) of the housing or (8, 8A) of the striker 1. In such a case, said cover plate 27 is movable in a direction perpendicular to this bottom 12, respectively parallel to these side walls (13, 14).

In sum, this cover blade 27 is mounted to move in a direction 28 parallel to the axis of the roller T 2. This direction 28 is, moreover, perpendicular to the plane of the keeper 1.

In particular, according to a first embodiment visible in the figure 1 this mobility of the cover blade 27 in the direction 28 so as to define the adjustment means 25 results from the elastic nature of this cover blade 27.

In this embodiment illustrated in the figure 1 said covering blade 27 comprises, at the right of the housing (8, 8A), a cutout 29 of width 23 fitted to the rod or roller 17 of the T-roller 2. This cutout 29 defines at the level of this cover blade 27 two elastic branches (31, 31A) corresponding to the return hooks (15, 16) able to depart elastically from the bottom 12 to adjust their distance relative to the latter 12. This cutout 29 goes, again, in s' flaring at the open end (10, 11) of this housing (8, 8A).

As mentioned above, said striker 1 comprises a base 4. In fact, this base 4 is provided with one or more through-holes (8; 8A) and comprises the bottom 12 as well as the side walls (13, 14). extending from this bottom 12.

As can be seen in the appended figures, this base 4 is constituted by a part (more particularly one-piece) adopting a "U" shape and comprising the bottom 12 and the side walls (13, 14) extending from this bottom 12.

Also and according to an additional feature of the invention, the cover blade 27 is mounted on said base 4, this movably.

In fact, this cover blade 27 is movably attached over said base 4, more particularly over the side walls (13, 14) that this base 4 comprises.

As mentioned above, said cover blade 27 is movably mounted on said base 4, such a mobility being, then, in a direction perpendicular to the base 12 of the base 4, respectively parallel to the side walls (13, 14 ) of this base 4.

At the opposite end 30 of the open end (10, 11) of the housing or slots (8, 8A), either in the center of the striker 1 in the illustrated embodiment, this cover blade 27 is secured to the base 4, more particularly by crimping, riveting, screwing or the like. Thus, by elasticity at said emergent end (10, 11) of the housing (8, 8A), the two elastic branches (31, 31A), extending on either side of the cutout 21, are capable of away from the bottom 12, leading to a distance adjustment with respect thereto retaining returns (15, 16) defined by said two elastic branches (31, 31A).

In a second embodiment visible in the figures 3 , 4, 5 and 6 said covering blade 27 is mounted to move in translation in the direction 28 on the base 4 of the striker 1.

In particular, this cover blade 27 comprises, at its side edges 32, 32A, C hooking flanges (33, 33A), engaging in suitable latching grooves (34, 34A), which comprises at its lateral sides (35, 35A), said base 4.

Moreover, these C-hooking flanges (33, 33A) cooperate with said hooking grooves (34, 34A), with a mobility in the direction 28 according to a predefined stroke 36. Moreover, an adapted adjustment device 37 allows the user to adjust the positioning of the cover blade 27 with respect to the base 4, along the path 36.

This adjustment can intervene against the action of elastic return means 38 tending to push said cover blade 27 in one or other of the extreme positions of this race 36.

In the embodiment shown in Figures 3 to 6 of the attached drawing, these elastic return means 38 in the form of resilient blades 39 formed at the hooking grooves (34, 34A), tend to push the cover blade 27 to apply to the base 4, so in race end 36 leading to the smallest distance 26 between the bottom 12 and the return hooks (15, 16).

To return to the adjusting device 37, it can be defined, for example, by an eccentric 40 which is projecting at the level of the lateral edges (32, 32A) of the base 4, this through a oblong slot 41 at the level of the fastening flanges C (33, 33A), oblong slot 41 extending parallel to the direction 28. Thus, by acting on the eccentric 40, it is possible to push the cover blade 27 in a direction opposite to the base 4 this against the action of the elastic return means 38 to adjust the distance 26.

However, it should be observed when the engagement into a housing (8, 8A) of a roller T 2, under the influence of the flange 19 of the latter, this cover blade 27 can still be brought to s further away from the base 4, this within the limit of the authorized race 36.

Claims (10)

Strike (1) for a locking mechanism of the espagnolette or espagnolette-lock type, comprising: - at least one opening housing (8; 8A) of T-section for receiving in at least one locking position of a T-lock roller (2), said housing (8; 8A) being delimited by at least one bottom (12) from which extend two substantially parallel lateral walls (13, 14) each terminated by a return hook (15, 16); - a cover blade (27) defining the return hooks (15, 16) at the end opposite the bottom (12) of the side walls (13, 14); - characterized in that it comprises means (25) for adjusting the distance (26) separating the bottom (12) from the return hooks (15, 16), said adjustment means (25) being constituted by the cover blade (27) which is elastically deformable. Striker (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the cover plate (27) extends in a plane and is movable in a direction (28) perpendicular to this plane. Striker (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cover plate (27), on the one hand, extends in a plane parallel to the bottom (12) of the housing (8, 8A) of the keeper (1), respectively perpendicular to the side walls (13, 14) of the housing (8, 8A) of the striker (1) and, secondly, is movable in a direction (28) perpendicular at this bottom (12), respectively parallel to these side walls (13, 14).
