Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Verhindern der Lesbarkeit von auf Festplatten gespeicherten Daten nach deren Gebrauch sowie eine Vorrichtung für das Zerkleinern von Festplatten und dergleichen Datenträgern, insbesondere Schredder. Verfahrensmäßig ist dabei vorgesehen, dass in einer ersten Verfahrensstufe ein spezielles Löschen der auf der Festplatte gespeicherten Daten erfolgt und sodann in einem zweiten Verfahrensschritt die Festplatte mechanisch mehrfach zerkleinert wird, wobei vorrichtungsmäßig eine Zerkleinerungseinrichtung mit einem oder mehreren Schneidwerken vorgesehen ist, wobei zwischen jeweils zwei Schneidwerken Mittel zur Beeinflussung der Lage der erzeugten Partikel vor deren Eintritt in ein nächstes Schneidwerk angeordnet sind.
