Definitions

  • the present invention relates to the protection of an article of clothing against bodily secretions that can be emitted when the user wears this article. It relates more particularly to a protective piece intended to be incorporated inside an article of clothing in an area thereof which is intended to face a zone of the body of the user likely to emit body secretions.
  • the solution consisted of absorbing perspiration before it came into contact with the garment by placing between the garment and the underarm area of the user an absorbent protective piece.
  • a disposable absorbent pad which is composed of two thin sheets which are thermo-welded together around their peripheral edges and between which is arranged at least one thin sheet of absorbent material.
  • the sheet which is intended to be placed in contact with the skin is a permeable sheet consisting of entangled fibers while the sheet which is placed in contact with the garment on the inside thereof is an impermeable sheet of plastic material. So perspiration can pass through the first permeable sheet, be absorbed by the sheet or sheets of absorbent material and be prevented from migrating to the garment through the presence of the impermeable sheet.
  • the fabric is of the three-dimensional type, its two faces being constituted by two walls spaced from one another and interconnected by connecting threads, which are at least in part son of storage .
  • Such a fabric is also called 3D knit.
  • the capacity of absorption and storage of moisture is a function of the length of the connecting son between the two walls and the density of said connecting son.
  • the storage son are at least partly constituted by weft son inserted between the two faces of the fabric. It may be wick or fiber ribbon type.
  • the impervious outer layer comprises means for reinforcing the moisture barrier effect of the outer face of the fabric. This may be useful when the piece equips an article of clothing which it is certain that the use will generate significant bodily secretions, particularly with regard to a sports article or an item worn daily, for example a professional clothing.
  • the means for reinforcing the moisture-barrier effect of the external face may consist of a treatment agent, in particular a hydrophobic agent, applied to all or part of the constituent wires of the external face.
  • the agent may be applied to the outer face of the fabric or the outer face of the fabric may comprise previously hydrophobic treated threads.
  • It may also be a coating or an impermeable membrane which is secured to the outer face of the fabric.
  • it is a breathable waterproof membrane which is secured to the external face by complexing, that is to say by sticking point by point, for example of the hot melt type, so as to prevent the passage of liquid secretion while allowing the transfer of steam and thus a certain evacuation of moisture.
  • the protective piece is in a three-dimensional configuration, without edge, adapted to the configuration of the determined area, in particular by thermoforming or thermo-molding.
  • the piece known from this document has at the fold of the armhole a sharp edge which on the one hand creates rigidity and on the other hand can be an inconvenience for the wearer. This is particularly troublesome for fine clothes or very close to the body, for example a silk blouse, a small female top or a light cotton man's shirt.
  • the three-dimensional configuration improves the comfort of the user by ensuring that the protective piece as close as possible to the configuration of the area of the article to which it applies, including the configuration of the armhole , being an axillary piece.
  • the protective piece comprises a membrane secured to the outer face of the fabric
  • said piece also comprises an outer layer, textile or non-woven, secured to said membrane.
  • At least a portion of the son whose intermingling forms the inner face contains multilobed fibers or multilobed filaments with improved moisture transfer.
  • This type of fiber or filament has longitudinal channels capable of ensuring by capillarity the transfer of moisture.
  • the fibers known under the name COOLMAX® are known in particular.
  • At least a portion of the storage wires, which are in an absorbent material are viscose-based yarns, preferably having bacteriostatic properties. It may be bamboo viscose whose advantage lies not only in its high absorption capacity but also in its bacteriostatic properties. It may also be viscose treated bacteriostatic or associated with a silver wire, which has bacteriostatic properties.
  • At least a portion of the son whose interlacing forms the outer face of the fabric and which are in a synthetic material are based on polyester; this may also be the case for some of the son connecting the two faces of the fabric.
  • the protective piece may also comprise elastic yarns, in particular elastane-based yarns, in particular to improve its deformation capacity in the event of a thermoforming or thermo-molding operation. These threads can be found throughout the structure of the fabric, both in the outer and inner faces and in the connecting son.
  • the protective part comprises an outer layer, in particular covering an impermeable membrane
  • said outer layer comprises either an adhesive coating, optionally protected by a non-adherent sheet, or a coating or a thermo-adhesive film.
  • the user can perform or make carry out the fixing of the protective piece on the appropriate area of the garment either by applying the adhesive coating on said area, after having removed the non-stick sheet, or by making or by making the thermo fixing of the piece using coating or thermo adhesive film.
  • the securing of said protective piece to the determined area of the article can be obtained in different ways.
  • the first way consists in equipping the article with at least one inner pocket formed in the determined zone, said pocket being able to house the protective part.
  • It may be a single pocket or, preferably, a first and a second pocket whose openings vis-à-vis one another allow the introduction of a first portion the protective piece in the first pocket and the introduction of a second portion of the protective piece in the second pocket.
  • This version is particularly suitable for protective parts having a three-dimensional configuration.
  • the or each pocket is formed by bringing to the determined area of the article a panel having a high porosity, a certain elasticity and a good dimensional stability. It is indeed necessary that the bag does not constitute a barrier to the transfer of body secretion to the protective piece and that said piece, especially if it has a three-dimensional configuration, can be easily introduced into the pocket while being well maintained after introduction and without losing the wear.
  • a second way of securing the protective part to the determined area of the article consists in fixing said part on said area by gluing with the aid of an adhesive coating or possibly a coating or a thermo-adhesive film. the last being preferably thin and transparent and having a certain elasticity.
  • a third way is to integrate the protective piece as a unitary panel, during the making of the article, including sewing.
  • the placement of said protective piece must correspond to the panel located at the specific area to be protected.
  • a fourth way consists in the implementation of a fastening system comprising a first element capable of cooperating with a second element, in particular a self-gripping hook and loop fastening system known under the name Velcro R or a fastening system. magnet attachment system.
  • the first element is disposed in the determined zone of the article while the second element is disposed on the outside of the protective part.
  • a protective assembly which comprises firstly a protective piece as described in the various variants above and a pocket adapted to receive said protective piece and adapted to be fixed on a defined area of an article of clothing, the attachment may in particular be carried out by adhesive or thermo adhesive.
  • the present invention generally relates to the protection of a given area of an article of clothing against secretions that can be emitted by the body of the user coming opposite this area.
  • the first intended application is that of the protection of the axillary zone, that is to say under the arms or under the armpits, but this application is not limiting, it could include the protection of the zone breast of a bra, especially for breastfeeding women.
  • the principle of this protection is to ensure that the protective part captures and stores, in an absorbent layer, the secretion emitted while avoiding, thanks to an impermeable outer layer, that this secretion can migrate and stain the skin. article of clothing.
  • the protective piece of the present invention consists only of a fabric whose two faces are formed of intertwined threads and which are connected to one another.
  • the outer face of the fabric is at least partly an impermeable outer layer and includes threads in a synthetic material.
  • This fabric comprises threads in an absorbent material which are little or not apparent on the outer face of the fabric; these are the storage wires.
  • the inner face of the fabric comprises son able to ensure the absorption and / or transfer of moisture to the storage son.
  • the protective piece 1 consists of a fabric 2 which is said to be of the three-dimensional or 3D-knit type, in that it comprises two walls 3 and 6 which are both formed of intertwined threads. , for example, first warp yarns 4 and first weft yarns 5 for the first wall 3 and second warp yarns 7 and second weft yarns 8 for the second wall 6, the two said walls 3 and 6 being connected together. between them by a set 9 of connecting son, for example son 10 which in the particularly simplified example, illustrated in FIG. figure 1 , pass alternately over some of the first warp threads 4 of the first wall 3 and underneath some of the second warp threads 7 of the second wall 6.
  • the first wall 3, also called internal wall of the fabric, is the one that is intended to be the closest to the wearer of the article.
  • the inner wall 3 comprises son 4, 5, which are able to ensure the absorption of moisture from the secretion and / or the transfer of this moisture to the assembly 9 of the connecting son 10.
  • This set 9 comprises son 10 in an absorbent material, so as to be able to ensure the storage at least momentary moisture contained in the secretion.
  • the outer wall 6 comprises threads 7, 8 which are in a synthetic material and which are interwoven so as to obtain a moisture barrier effect contained in the assembly 9 of the connecting threads 10, which at least part of office storage son.
  • the moisture transfer function of the inner wall 3 is achieved by the implementation of son that contain fibers or multilobed filaments, improved moisture transfer, including COOLMAX® fibers.
  • said fibers or filaments comprise longitudinal channels acting as capillaries, through which the moisture migrates.
  • the moisture storage function of the assembly 9 of binding wire is ensured by the implementation of bamboo viscose-based yarns which are known for their high absorption capacity and also for their bacteriostatic properties, particularly welcome considering that it is to absorb body secretions.
  • the moisture barrier function of the outer wall 6 is obtained by the implementation of polyester-based son, preferably hydrophobic treated.
  • the secretion for example transpiration emitted by the armpit comes into contact with the inner wall 3, it diffuses by capillarity along the son 4, 5 to reach the connecting wires which are at said wall 3 so that the moisture in question is gradually absorbed, by pumping effect, by the set 9 of connecting son.
  • the outer wall 6 it prevents the moisture stored in the assembly 9 to diffuse directly on the determined area of the article of clothing against which it is in contact.
  • the pumping effect mentioned above improves the comfort of the user who no longer has the feeling of humidity, in particular to have wet underarms, moisture being rapidly removed in the storage assembly 9 .
  • the fabric 2 however, having a certain porosity, if there is sufficient air circulation, the moisture stored in said fabric 2 can gradually be removed as moist air or water vapor passing through the wall external 6.
  • the amount of secretions is important or possibly to reduce the thickness of the fabric, it is preferable to reinforce the moisture barrier effect of the outer wall 6 so as to avoid any risk of piercing of said wall 6.
  • This reinforcement can be implemented by applying to the outer wall 6 a suitable treatment agent, for example a waterproofing or hydrophobic agent.
  • a suitable treatment agent for example a waterproofing or hydrophobic agent.
  • the protective piece 11 also comprises a breathable waterproof membrane 12 which is secured to the outer wall 6.
  • a membrane 12 completes the desired moisture barrier effect while having sufficient porosity to allow the circulation of air which is useful for preventing a localized heating of the space between the workpiece and the body of the wearer, which heating may in particular increase the perspiration.
  • This porosity must also be sufficient to allow the evacuation, in the form of water vapor, moisture contained in the fabric 2, which correlatively allows a refreshing of its absorption capacity.
  • the joining technique between the breathable waterproof membrane 12 and the outer wall 6 must allow the membrane to retain its porosity.
  • a point-by-point bonding of the hot-melt type is used.
  • the figure 3 illustrates a third example of a protective piece 13 which differs from the second example by the fastening on the breathable waterproof membrane 12 of an outer layer 14, which may be a light textile or a nonwoven, on the outer face of which is applied a adhesive 15 protected by a non-stick sheet 16.
  • the protective part 13 can be implemented directly by the user. It suffices for the latter to remove the non-stick sheet 6 and to apply the adhesive 15 against the inner face of the underarm area 21 of an article of clothing 28.
  • an outer layer 14 is justified whenever there is a risk of degradation or delamination of the membrane, either during the production of the protective part or during its use in the article d 'clothing.
  • an outer layer 14 is advantageous when it is desired to carry out a three-dimensional shaping of the protective part, as illustrated in FIG. figure 5 .
  • the protective parts 1, 11 and 13, the examples of which have been described above, can be incorporated flat into the determined area of the article of clothing, for example in the form of two adjacent sections, as described in FIG. document FR.2.098.986 or in the form of a single piece with lateral cuts along a fold line as described in the document EP.322.309 .
  • the protective piece 19 is in one piece but is placed in a three-dimensional configuration which is adapted to the configuration of the determined area, in particular by thermoforming or thermo-molding.
  • thermoforming made from a 3D knit, complexed or not with a membrane and a protective outer layer of the membrane, provides unprecedented flexibility and promotes wearing comfort and also the aesthetics of the protective piece. It also makes it possible to optimize the thickness / effectiveness ratio of the absorption capacity.
  • the three-dimensional configuration When the protective piece is intended to protect a brassiere of the mammary secretions, the three-dimensional configuration must be adapted to the configuration of the determined zone of the bra coming to apply on and around the nipple.

  • the generatrix of the cone portion forming the fins 30, 31 is not necessarily rectilinear but can be curved, so that the line 23 overall has a concave curvature, like the curvature of the armhole line between the arm 27 and the bust 29 of the t-shirt 28.
  • the axillary piece 20 of the figure 5 is shown schematically, in side view, the axillary piece 20 of the figure 5 .
  • this angle ⁇ is of the order of 90 °, more precisely in the illustrated example it is 87 °.
  • the value D1 of the horizontal projection of the front part 25 is of the order of 53 mm whereas the value D2 of the vertical projection of the rear portion 26 is 71 mm.
  • the values of D1 and ⁇ 1 would remain the same while the value D2 of the vertical projection of the rear portion 26 would be increased, being for example 85 mm.

  • FIG 9 On the figure 9 is represented an axillary piece 40 whose three-dimensional configuration is obtained by assembling two pieces of pieces 41, 42 which are assembled by a flat seam, edge to edge. More precisely, it is represented on this same figure 9 , the two sections of parts 41, 42, arranged face to face, before assembly. It can be seen that these two sections both have a concave edge 41a, 42a of the same dimensions and concavity. On the other hand, the two sections themselves are not symmetrical with respect to the axis of symmetry XX 'of the concave edges 41a, 42b.
  • the assembly of these two sections 41, 42 is done by a flat seam 43 according to the two concave edges 41a, 42a along the entire length thereof which are brought closer to one another gradually during sewing.
  • This operation makes it possible to obtain a formatting of the same type as that obtained at the figure 5 .
  • the seam line 43 passes through the intersection 24 of the longitudinal L and transverse plane D, said seam line 43 making a determined angle, preferably of the order of 15 ° with respect to the line of intersection 23 with the transverse plane D.
