Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de mesure (1) et un procédé permettant de déterminer et/ou de surveiller le débit d'un milieu à mesurer (5) à travers un tube de mesure (4) au moyen d'un premier capteur d'ultrasons (2) et au moins d'un deuxième capteur d'ultrasons (3), le premier capteur d'ultrasons (2) comportant au moins un élément électromécanique de conversion d'ultrasons (6.1-6.6) et le deuxième capteur d'ultrasons (3) comportant au moins deux éléments électromécaniques de conversion d'ultrasons (7.1-7.6). Les signaux ultrasonores pouvant être émis par le premier capteur d'ultrasons (2) à travers le milieu à mesurer (5) peuvent être reçus par le deuxième capteur d'ultrasons (3) et les signaux ultrasonores pouvant être émis par le deuxième capteur d'ultrasons (3) à travers le milieu à mesurer peuvent être reçus par le premier capteur à ultrasons (2). Au moins une unité de régulation/d'évaluation détermine le débit volumétrique et/ou massique du milieu à mesurer (5) s'écoulant dans le tube de mesure (4) au moyen d'un procédé de différence de temps de propagation. Durant une phase de diagnostic, le premier capteur d'ultrasons (2) envoie des signaux ultrasonores à travers le milieu à mesurer (5) au deuxième capteur d'ultrasons (3) et au moins une variable de processus est déterminée par les signaux ultrasonores reçus pour chaque élément électromécanique de conversion d'ultrasons (7.1-7.6) du deuxième capteur d'ultrasons (3) et, en raison de la variable de processus des signaux ultrasonores reçus, on sélectionne, parmi les éléments électromécaniques de conversion d'ultrasons (7.1-7.6) du deuxième capteur d'ultrasons (3), celui qui sera actif au cours d'une phase de mesure suivante.
