- the races of the movable covers 14, 15 are regulated differently. Their movements are controlled by prefabricated bodies constituted by spring blocks. In fact, these spring blocks will be of three different embodiments listed below. In fig. 3, lower part, we see a spring block 18, an example of construction is shown in detail on fig. 6 to 8.
- Four flat head rods 18a are embedded in internal shoulder bores of a block 18 and biased by springs retained by a closure plate 18d.
- a body 18 in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped is machined on all its faces and has four cylindrical holes 18b with internal shoulder, located at the four corners of a rectangle in the upper face of the body 18.
- the four rods 18a which may be pins with flat heads, are engaged in the drillings so that the heads support against the shoulders of the drillings.
- springs 18c are engaged in the bores and retained by a cover plate 18d screwed to the body by means of two screws in the central axis of the stud each on the line joining two springs 18c. It is understood that the stroke of the springs 18c, and consequently the flapping of the pins 18a, are chosen so as to be able to impose on the blade 14 a given stroke between its low position and its upper position of compression of the cord 32 shown in solid lines at Figure 3.
- a housing 18e provided in the center of the plate 18d can be used to secure the stud 18 to the blade 14, if necessary.
- the springs 18c can be replaced by any other suitable elastic elements.
- Several spring blocks of the type 18 support the mobile cover 14, 15 placed horizontally at the base of the frame 1.
- Spring blocks 19 are placed in the profile 5 located on the upper side of the inner element of the frame 1. They are similar in construction to the blocks 18 but differ in two points: on the one hand the rods 19a are shorter than the rods 18a, so that the possible stroke for the blocks 19 is very restricted, and secondly each block 19 is retained in the structure 8 of the section 5 by an adjustable screw 19b adjustable by means of a spacer 19c.
- the possible stroke for the spring blocks 19 which control the movable plate 14, 15 from the top is of the order of 1 to 3 mm. It is the rotation of the glazing, respectively of the profile 25 which, via the "concave" section of the seal 29 of the top on the lining 31 actuates the device in the vertical direction.
- a variant of the described spring blocks is used in the sections 5 which form the two vertical sides of the inner frame element 1 (see FIG. 5).
- These blocks 20 are of larger dimensions, in particular longer than the blocks 18, and it is seen in FIG. 5 that they are equipped at the center of their length with a means of adjustment by screwing allowing the locking or unlocking of the chassis 3.
- the stud 20 is traversed by a threaded rod 20b (FIG. base a cylindrical segment rotating in a wafer 20c. This assembly is fixed in the trapezoidal bar of the structure 8 of the profile 5, by nut and against nut 2Od, leaving a clearance sufficient to allow rotation.
- the axial position of this rod is fixed by the nut and lock nut system 20d and its thread passes through the stud 20, so that by attacking this rod 20b by means of a hexagon socket wrench through the corresponding opening 33 (FIG 1), the block 20 is moved in one direction or the other in the central groove of the section 5 delimited by its components 6, 6 and 8 (FIGS.
- the 20th nut is a locking nut that requires the use of a socket wrench.
- All blocks 18, 19 and 20 may be placed in multiple copies along the sides of the inner frame member 1 described herein.
- Brackets 21 fixed by screws 22 guide them in their position along the profiles 5 when moving perpendicular to these profiles.
- the blades 14 provided with the ribs 15, also called mobile covers, are arranged to seal the glazing.

- the frame member 3 consists of four segments of sections 25 joined in quadrilateral at their ends. Hs each have two parallel wings 26 directed towards the interior of the chassis and serving to guide and hold two glass plates 2a and 2b fixed to the frame and held in place by spacers 27.
- the profiles 25 also have two opposite wings 28, perpendicular to the glazing plane and each provided with a groove 30 in which is embedded a seal 29.
- These seals are of different constitutions: on the upper section 25 visible in FIG. 3, the seals 29 are segments of plastic cords having a U-shaped profile, while on the other three sections 25 visible in FIGS. 3, 4 and 5, the seals 29 are segments of elastic tubes.
- the high and low sections are provided in the middle of their length between the roots of the flanges 28 of a profiled plate 34 provided with a hole which, on assembly, engages on the journals 13 to pivot the glazing unit.
- the figures show the set in the locked position.
- the vertical blades 14 diverge from the tubular seals 29.
- the stop bars 24 move apart by releasing the blade 14 on the lower side of the frame member 1.
- this blade will not move since it is in a position that compresses the lower seal 29 of the frame 3. (Fig. 3). Therefore, simply press the lower blade 14 by compressing the spring rods 18a.
- the spring blocks 19 having been previously adjusted so that the upper blade 14 can lift slightly when the U-shaped seal 29 presses against the ridge blade 31, it is possible to initiate the pivoting movement of the frame 3 and to continue it until at an intermediate position or until a complete rotation of 180 degrees.
- the inner flank 32 of the groove 30 opposite to that containing the previously compressed tubular seal 29 abuts on the widening 14a of the lower blade 14.
- the upper U-shaped seal 29 drops the upper blade 14 which carries the edge lamella 31 which fixes the final position of the glazing. It is then possible to loosen the threaded rods 20b again, which brings the vertical blades 14 into the locking position and at the same time blocks the lower blade 14 in the compression position of the elastic joints by the action of the stops 24.
- the arrangement described has two kinds of advantages.
- the glazing can be rotated so that this face is exposed to the sun in summer in order to reduce heating of the interior spaces, while in winter if this face is inside, it will facilitate heating.
- pivot axis of the glazing according to the invention does not necessarily have to be vertical.
- a horizontal axis glazing may also be equipped in the manner described with pivoting, locking and sealing means as disclosed above.
