Description
In general, Siphone, which are used for the passage of small amounts of liquid, especially condensation of air conditioning systems, just because of this low water flow rate per unit time and low flow rate problematic, since in them the self-cleaning of a siphon, the entraining water entrains dirt particles does not come into effect. A siphon, through which only small amounts of liquid flow, must therefore be cleaned frequently and regularly to prevent clogging of the siphon. For this reason, in the known siphon at the top of a closable by a lid opening is provided in the cleaning equipment, such as brushes, or cleaning liquids can be introduced. However, it has been shown in practice that when installed there is not enough space to introduce the cleaning agent. Therefore, the siphon must be disconnected from the line for cleaning and removed, after which it is cleaned and reinstalled, which is a very cumbersome procedure. But even if it were attempted to clean the siphon in the installed state, this would be associated with serious disadvantages, since the cleaning despite careful procedure, a contamination of the wall around the siphon is hardly avoidable. It should be remembered that these Siphone built mainly in walls of living rooms and offices which are usually covered with paint or wallpaper and thus - in contrast to tiled walls in the bathroom - are not dirt-repellent or cleanable. Consequently, the wall around this known siphon will become increasingly unsightly in the course of the use and repeated purifications of the siphon. Another serious disadvantage in connection with this cumbersome cleaning option is the high expenditure of time. If the cleaning is carried out by a craftsman, then the time spent in high maintenance costs.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to overcome the disadvantages of the known Siphon for low flow rates. The present invention solves this problem by providing a siphon having the features of
The siphon according to the invention has a siphon housing, which has an inlet nozzle passing through a housing wall and an outlet nozzle passing through a housing wall. The inlet port opens into the siphon housing in an inlet opening. The outlet port opens into the siphon housing in an outlet opening. In the siphon housing interior, an odor trap insert is provided having an insert housing in which in liquid-tight and odor-tight manner, a curved channel, in particular a channel is formed with at least one U-shaped portion having a channel inlet opening and a channel outlet opening, wherein the channel inlet opening and the Can channel outlet opening of the odor trap insert in a sealing manner with the inlet opening and the outlet opening of the siphon housing are connectable. The odor trap insert thus forms a cassette that is completely, easily and quickly inserted into the siphon housing and removable again. Thus, it is not necessary to clean the siphon in case of clogging in the field in the wall, but it must only the odor trap insert to be replaced by the simplest of operations. For this, it requires neither expertise nor a special amount of time, so that the maintenance costs associated with the siphon according to the invention are minimal. The siphon housing has a removable cover, wherein preferably the cover comprises a snap fastening. For the odor trap insert to be inserted into the siphon housing in the simplest manner, it is provided that the inlet opening of the inlet nozzle and the outlet opening of the outlet nozzle face the cover of the siphon housing, wherein the channel inlet opening and the channel outlet opening of the odor trap insert are formed in the rear wall of the insert housing body, so that the odor trap insert from the front, this is the cover side, on the inlet opening of the inlet nozzle and the outlet opening of the outlet are attachable and removable.
In a preferred embodiment of the siphon, the channel inlet opening and the channel outlet opening of the odor trap insert are pluggable connectable to the inlet opening and the outlet opening, whereby a very easy to maintain siphon is obtained. In a further development of the siphon according to the invention seals, in particular annular elastomer seals, are provided for an optimal seal between the inlet opening and the channel inlet opening or between the outlet opening and the channel outlet opening.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the insert housing has a housing body and a cover which can be connected in a sealing manner to the housing body. In this embodiment, the odor trap insert can be removed as a whole and the channel formed therein, for example, cleaned by flushing with water, so that the odor trap insert is reusable. It should be emphasized that it is not necessary to clean the odor trap insert on site. If the odor trap insert is persistent clogged, it can also be easily replaced.
In order to achieve an optimal odor trap, even if no water is present in the channel of the odor trap insert, which is e.g. is to be expected when used in a condensate drain line of an air conditioner, is further provided to form a valve in the channel of the odor trap insert. This valve can for example be realized by a float, which is arranged in the channel and, if there is no water in the channel, rests on an annular seat and closes the channel, is lifted by flowing water, however, and releases the channel.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the siphon is equipped with a cutaway Bauschutzaufsatz, which is placed on the siphon housing with the cover removed, preferably the side walls of the Bauschutzaufsatzes are aligned with the side walls of the siphon housing. The building protection attachment serves to compensate for different installation depths. The installation of the siphon is done by a hole is formed in the wall, which is at least so deep that the siphon can be completely absorbed therein. On the siphon of the Bauschutzaufsatz is placed, which has a height such that it protrudes from the hole. The cover of the siphon can be mounted on the protection cover during assembly to prevent the inside of the siphon from becoming dirty. Alternatively, the Bauschutzaufsatz has a front wall. Afterwards, the siphon is fixed in the hole together with the building protection attachment, eg by plastering. Subsequently, the building protection attachment is cut to length so that it is flush with the wall surface and is then closed with the cover of the siphon.
The siphon of the present invention is also very well suited for low fluid flow applications, e.g. for condensate drainage of air conditioners and refrigerators. Due to the low liquid flow rate, it is expedient to dimension the pipes small. So that the siphon according to the invention can be made compact, it is provided that the inlet port and the outlet port have a diameter such that they can be connected to pipelines with an outer diameter between 6 and 50 mm.
In a particularly preferred embodiment, the siphon according to the invention is designed as a wall siphon for vertical installation. For this purpose, the curvatures of the channel in the odor trap insert and a possible valve are arranged so that they develop their odor-trap effect in vertical installation. The wall siphon can be installed in residential and office walls, in particular e.g. below air split units.
It should be further noted that, with the
The

For the installation of the siphon
