Definitions
- the present invention relates to a mattress cover fabric in the form of a front and back double cloth with or without filler thread, and a method for producing the same.
- Such mattress cover fabrics are known in the prior art in a variety of embodiments. For economic reasons, the weight of such mattress fabrics with filling yarn of 350 g / m 2 has been reduced to values of up to about 180 g / m 2 , which made the goods easier and less expensive to produce. However, the price decay of the mattress cover fabrics requires the manufacturers to develop new qualities of goods, which should be cheaper if possible with the same appearance of goods in the production.
- the mattress cover has a thinned in comparison to the front binding technology by pulling a number of needles back.
- the method according to the invention is specified in claim 7.
- the mattress cover according to the invention thus has a lighter weight in relation to corresponding comparable prior art mattress covers and can therefore also be called "feather light". According to the invention thus, the closed back of the double cloth is eliminated, which of course leads to significant weight savings.
- the peculiarity is knitting and binding technology in that the front of the double cloth is not affected by the elimination of the closed back, so that the front still has the same appearance as the previously known heavier goods of the mattress cover fabric.
- the pulling of the needle (s) from the dial allows the control of the stitch bond, thereby forming a float. While the latter is possible with jacquard-controlled machines without pulling the needle, in the production of right / right goods by knitting machines having different dials, the desired needle (s) must be pulled out of the dial.
- Fig. 1 In the conventional thread course according to Fig. 1 Four systems 1-4 are shown superimposed, each showing the use or non-use of the rib needles (above) and the needles of the cylinder (below). The juxtaposed stitches across the fabric width form a course.
- Mesh forming machines with single controlled needle selection are referred to as Jacquard machines, a product made thereon as Jacquard knit. Since both flat knitting and circular knitting machines can be equipped with electronically controlled needle selection, jacquard patterns with any geometric shapes (repeat) can be provided.
- Rapport is the length and width of a pattern figure that appears only once and spans the entire face of a knitted fabric (front, back). Smaller repeats usually repeat themselves and are used for the design of knit fabrics.
- the filler thread is inserted in every second repeat after the system 3 with a special yarn guide between the dial and the jacquard cylinder, but is not shown in the figure.
- the needles of the dial are not used, while the needles of the cylinder these systems drive certain needles and others not.
- the needles from the cylinder in the system 2 are not used, while the needles of the dial all act mesh forming.
- FIG. 2 shows Fig. 2 the yarn course according to the invention in the manufacture of a mattress cover according to the invention.
- the four superposed systems 1-4 are shown, each showing the deployment of the ripper needle (shown above) and the needles in the cylinder (below).
- the invention drawn from the dials needles are each denoted by r. It can be clearly seen here that in each system 1 to 4 3 needles per repeat were pulled in the dial. The number of draw of the needles in the dial and also their distribution is not particularly critical, but can be changed in any frame.
- the system 1 thus shows here 3 drawn needles and a cylinder, in which two stitches are omitted in this sectional view.
- system 2 two stitches have again been produced per rapport with three drawn needles while the cylinder has been issued or not activated.
- the system 3 again resembles the system 1, whereas in system 4 three drawn needles per rapport bind two stitches connected by three stitches formed by the cylinder.
- the filler thread is inserted in every second repeat according to system 3 with a special yarn guide between the dial and the cylinder.
- An inventive mattress cover fabric thus has a double cloth, wherein the front according to the conventional thread course according to Fig. 1 while the back of the double cloth with a thread course according to Fig. 2 was produced.
- a mattress cover fabric according to the invention advantageously has 10-70 stitches per stitch row on the back of the double cloth, while its front side has 50-160 stitches in one course.
- a particularly preferred example shows 33 stitches on the back with 96 stitches on the front of the double cloth.
- the optimal look is guaranteed in relation to the previously known mattress cover fabrics, which are much heavier in weight.
- a mattress cover fabric according to the invention in finished weight ie after having been provided with a finish, etc., has a weight with filler thread of 120 to 350 g / m 2 . It is clear here that weights below 180 g / m 2 are possible according to the invention, using cotton, cellulosic or synthetic fibers.
- the back of the mattress cover according to the invention accounts for 10-40 wt.% Of the total weight.
- the mode is intended for a value of 28% by weight for the back against 72% by weight for the front.
- Other weights are conceivable for the skilled person, however.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a mattress cover fabric in the form of a front and back double cloth with or without filler thread, and a method for producing the same.
Such mattress cover fabrics are known in the prior art in a variety of embodiments.
According to the invention this is achieved in that the mattress cover has a thinned in comparison to the front binding technology by pulling a number of needles back. The method according to the invention is specified in claim 7.
The mattress cover according to the invention thus has a lighter weight in relation to corresponding comparable prior art mattress covers and can therefore also be called "feather light". According to the invention Thus, the closed back of the double cloth is eliminated, which of course leads to significant weight savings. The peculiarity is knitting and binding technology in that the front of the double cloth is not affected by the elimination of the closed back, so that the front still has the same appearance as the previously known heavier goods of the mattress cover fabric.
The pulling of the needle (s) from the dial allows the control of the stitch bond, thereby forming a float. While the latter is possible with jacquard-controlled machines without pulling the needle, in the production of right / right goods by knitting machines having different dials, the desired needle (s) must be pulled out of the dial.
In procedural terms, this is achieved in that, according to the invention, when knitting the back side, one or more needles are pulled in relation to the production of the front side of the double cloth and do not grasp the submitted thread. Strictly speaking, needle drawing is well known, but new and surprising when applied to double towel qualities for mattress covers.
Further advantages and features emerge from the dependent claims, which may also be of inventive importance together with the main claim, as they indicate a certain selection with regard to the weight proportions or the actual number of stitches.

In
The latter also applies to the

The

A mattress cover fabric according to the invention advantageously has 10-70 stitches per stitch row on the back of the double cloth, while its front side has 50-160 stitches in one course. A particularly preferred example shows 33 stitches on the back with 96 stitches on the front of the double cloth. The optimal look is guaranteed in relation to the previously known mattress cover fabrics, which are much heavier in weight. Usually, a mattress cover fabric according to the invention in finished weight, ie after having been provided with a finish, etc., has a weight with filler thread of 120 to 350 g / m 2 . It is clear here that weights below 180 g / m 2 are possible according to the invention, using cotton, cellulosic or synthetic fibers. The back of the mattress cover according to the invention accounts for 10-40 wt.% Of the total weight. Favorable The mode is intended for a value of 28% by weight for the back against 72% by weight for the front. Other weights are conceivable for the skilled person, however.
