Abstract

L'invention concerne un pot d'échappement de moteur à combustion, qui comprend un corps (1) devant être relié à un tuyau d'échappement par lequel sont dirigés les gaz d'échappement, ledit corps comprenant une partie réactive (2) et une partie d'absorption (3) dans le sens d'écoulement des gaz d'échappement. La partie réactive (2) est principalement creuse et comprend, à son orifice d'entrée, un premier tuyau d'échappement (5) qui amène les gaz d'échappement vers la partie réactive (2), et, à son orifice de sortie, un second tuyau d'échappement (6) qui dirige les gaz d'échappement provenant de la partie réactive (2) vers la partie d'absorption (3), ces deux tuyaux d'échappement (5, 6) étant placés de manière à se déployer essentiellement à l'intérieur de la partie réactive (2) du corps. La partie d'absorption (3) comprend un élément de remplissage (7) absorbant qui remplit essentiellement la partie d'absorption (3) du corps, et est façonnée, à l'orifice d'entrée de la partie d'absorption (3), de manière à diriger les gaz d'échappement vers l'espace (8) compris entre l'élément de remplissage (7) et la garniture intérieure du corps (1).
