- the hollow profile is preferably made of aluminum.
- the rail is designed as an integral part of a strut, which can be attached directly to a room wall or can be used as a pedestal.
- the cheeks are connected to each other on their edge facing away from the front wall via transverse webs.
- the transverse webs are provided only outside the open-edged recesses, so that the insertion of shelf supports is not hindered.
- the hollow profile has reinforcing struts on its inside. These run in at least two corners of the hollow profile over its entire length. You can in cross section z. B. be circular, wherein portions of the cross section are formed by the walls of the hollow profile. Such reinforcing struts can also serve as sockets for connecting bolts between two stacked hollow sections.
- the distance between the cheeks can be chosen so that two carrier bars can be arranged side by side in a small distance between the cheeks. It is therefore provided that runs between the cheeks at least one divider.
- a first divider divides z. B. the groove in two sub-grooves for each one of the carrier strips.
- a second divider is provided on the inside of the transverse webs and forms a kind of intermediate cheek.
- the cheeks are connected at several distributed over the length of the cheeks points with the support bar.
- a secure hold, with which even vertical forces can be permanently absorbed, is realized by rivets, which penetrate the package of cheeks and support bar and which are set after the carrier bar has been pushed between the cheeks.
- the shelf rail 1 consists of a not very thick carrier strip 4, so that their edges have only a small width.
- recesses 5 which extend over the width of the carrier strip 4, so from side surface to side surface rich, and which open into the front edge 6 of the support bar 4. This should be referred to as open-sided or open-edged.
- the recess 5 has a lower edge running in a quarter circle and a substantially straight upper edge, in which a nose 7 is located.
- the ends of shelf supports 16 (also called consoles) are shaped accordingly and have on their upper side a recess corresponding to the nose 7.
- the shelf supports 16 are inserted into the recesses 5 with a leading from an inclination in a horizontal position pivotal movement in the recesses 5, wherein the nose 7 engages in the recess. In this way, the shelf supports 16 are held perpendicular to the shelf rail 1 in the recesses 5.

- the cheeks 11 are located directly on the side surfaces of the support bar 4 and are welded or glued thereto. How the particular Fig. 1a and 1b can be seen, they cover the side-open areas of the recess 5, in particular in the nose 7 from. In this embodiment, the cheeks 11 are slightly above the front edge of the support bar 4. But it could also be a recessed or flush arrangement can be selected. The cheeks 11 prevent a shelf support held in a recess 5 from slipping out laterally therefrom.
- the strut 2 consists of a rectangular cross-section tube 13, the front edge is provided with slots 14.
- the height and width of the slots 14 correspond to the height and width of the projections 8, so that they can be inserted into the slots 14. If the shelf rail 1 is lowered after insertion of the projections 8 into the slots 14, the areas (transverse webs 15) between the slots 14 are inserted into the recesses 9 at the lower edge of the projections 8 and thus ensure a secure hold of the shelf rail 1 the strut 2.
- the cheeks 11 are not very thick and the width of their leading edges are rather smaller than the width of the support bar, so that the total width of the shelf rail 1 over the prior art, in which the shelf rail consists only of a support bar without cheeks , is not significantly broadened. The aesthetic impression of the narrow front edge is therefore retained even in this embodiment.
- a panel 20 has two longitudinal slots 21, the widths of which corresponds to the width of the shelf rail 1, so that shelf rails 1 can be inserted from the back of the panel 20 forth in this far until each of the flanges 12 at the back of the panel 20 for Get plant and screwed there with the panel 20.

- the transverse webs 40 have dividing webs 48a, b both on their front and on the back.
- the rear divider 48a allows for precise registration of the carrier bars 4a, 4b between the cheeks 11.
- the front divider 48b gives the impression of having a complete intermediate cheek, resulting in a uniform visual appearance of the front of the shelf.
Description
The invention relates to a shelf rail for hanging shelf supports, which has a flat carrier strip with two side surfaces and a front edge and a rear edge, wherein the carrier strip has a plurality of similar recesses in which one end of a shelf support is inserted and the front Edge of the support bar are open towards the edge and open to the side surfaces and have at least one undercut in their inner edge course.
The shelf rails are attached to the side or rear walls of a shelf so that they close at least one side open side of the recess. This makes it possible to introduce a shelf support into the recess, whereby it is held laterally from the respective side or rear wall. The undercut ensures that the shelf support does not slip forward again out of the recess.
Especially in wall shelves, in which a side open side of a recess from the edge of a panel, which forms the rear wall of the shelf, is closed, there is a risk that the shelf support is pressed at a lateral force exerted on it against the edge and there damage causes. This danger is especially when the panels are made of a material that is not very hard. For very strong damage It can happen that the recess is no longer closed clean side, so that the shelf support slides out of the recess. In addition, the aesthetic impression that is achieved with this shelf construction - in the rear wall of the shelf, only the narrow leading edges of the shelf rails can be seen - disturbed by damaged edges of the panels sensitive.
The invention is thus based on the object of further developing the shelf rail such that a secure hold of the shelf rails is ensured, in particular, even when the panels are made of a soft material. Furthermore, the aesthetic impression is to be maintained, which arises from the fact that only the narrow front edges of the shelf rails can be seen in the rear wall of the shelf.
To achieve the object, the invention provides that on the support strip on at least one side surface fitting a cheek is arranged, which covers the side-open areas on this side surface at least partially and the open-edge region of the recesses completely free.
By attaching cheeks, the lateral closure of the recesses is no longer achieved by the panels themselves. Since the cheeks leave the open-edge region of the recesses completely free, because their insides z. B. are made completely flat, a shelf support, which is as thick as the carrier strips, are introduced through the edge open edge of the recess in this, with its side surface applies to the or the cheeks. The support bar is thus held backlash between the cheeks. Since the overlap area with the cheeks corresponds to the depth of the recess, Side forces are effectively supported, so that the shelf support can not swing laterally.
If the recess is bounded on both sides by cheeks, these preferably always have the same distance, which is maintained even when the cheeks protrude forward over the front edge of the support bar. The shelf support can therefore be inserted into the recess without being obstructed by the cheeks.
The cheeks can be narrow sheet metal strips that consist of the same material as the carrier strips themselves, so that at least the front of the shelf rail gives an image as if it were a uniform component. The cheeks can be made of relatively thin sheets, so that the width of the rail itself is not significantly greater than that of the support bar, so that the aesthetic impression of a narrow front edge of the shelf rail is maintained.
The cheeks are preferably welded or glued to the side surfaces of the carrier strips, possibly also other mounting options are conceivable.
A one-sided attachment of the cheeks is possibly sufficient if the shelf supports of two adjacent shelf rails are connected to each other via a shelf, so that a deflection of the unit shelf shelf and shelf is prevented to the left or right of the cheek of one or the other rail.
Preferably, however, both side surfaces of a carrier strip are covered with cheeks, so that the shelf supports are held independently of each other in the respective recess are. In addition, the aesthetic impression is better when each shelf rail is symmetrical.
The shelf rails are to be arranged vertically fixed. This requires struts that are attached to the wall of a room or clamped between floor and ceiling of a room. In order to secure the shelf rails in the struts, it is provided that the carrier strip has at its rear edge hook-shaped projections which engage in corresponding counterparts on the strut.
The projections are formed integrally with the carrier strip, wherein the side surface of the projections merging flush in the side surface of the carrier strip. In this way, a support bar can be made with projections by punching out of a metal strip.
Furthermore, the invention provides that the cheeks of the carrier strip have laterally projecting flanges.
These can serve on the one hand to connect the shelf rail with the panels. For this purpose, a panel is placed in the angle formed by the cheek and the flange and bolted to the flange. This has to appropriate means, for. B. screw holes.
But the flanges can also serve to stabilize the rail on the strut. To do this, the flanges attach to the front of the strut when the rail is attached to the strut.
Since, in the latter case, the flanges are no longer available as fasteners for the panels when the shelf rails are held on the strut, there are further means on the support bar to secure the panels. In the simplest case it can be To act laterally protruding bolts, grab on the attached to the back of the panels hooks.
With the shelf rail described above can be build shelves, which are also the subject of the patent. As mentioned previously, struts are first attached to a wall or clamped between the ceiling and wall to build the shelf. In order to attach the shelf rails to this, the struts have transverse webs, over which engage the hook-shaped projections of the shelf rail.
In the simplest case, the struts are formed as tubes, preferably of square cross-section, wherein in a front surface of the strut longitudinal slots are formed, in which the projections are first introduced. By lowering the shelf rail engage undercuts on the projections behind the lower end of the longitudinal slots.
In one way of attaching the panels, they have slits extending over almost their entire height, in which the shelf rails are inserted at the rear, so that their flanges can rest against the back of the panels and be bolted there. The hook-shaped projections stand from the panel back. The front edges of the shelf rails are flush with the front of the panel.
The unit of panel and shelf rail can now be hung as a whole on the prepared struts.
In another solution, first shelf rails are hung in the prepared struts, in this solution, the flanges in particular have the task to stabilize the orientation of the shelf rails on the strut, by laying on the front of the struts.
In this solution, the rails have laterally projecting means, for. B. bolts on. Hooks are attached to the backs of the panels to grip over the bolts as the panels are hung between the shelving rails, with the edges of the panels abutting the side surface of the rails to provide a continuous rear wall.
Another embodiment of the shelf rail is explained below.
To further simplify assembly, it is proposed that the cheeks be part of a hollow profile having a rear wall, a front wall and side walls, the cheeks projecting outwardly perpendicularly from the front wall and a longitudinal slot in the front wall between the cheeks, whose width corresponds to the distance between the cheeks. The hollow profile is preferably made of aluminum.
Accordingly, the rail is designed as an integral part of a strut, which can be attached directly to a room wall or can be used as a pedestal.
To ensure a stable position of the carrier strip, runs on the inside of the rear wall opposite the slots a groove whose width corresponds to the distance of the cheeks. The carrier strip is thus held in its front region between the cheeks and with its rear edge in the groove. In this way, laterally acting on the rail forces can be better supported.
To avoid that the cheeks are bent by forces acting laterally on the rail, it is provided that the cheeks are connected to each other on their edge facing away from the front wall via transverse webs. Of course, the transverse webs are provided only outside the open-edged recesses, so that the insertion of shelf supports is not hindered. In order to obtain a number of transverse webs, a continuous connecting web between the cheeks, which is part of the hollow profile, at least milled out at the locations at which later are the recesses of the carrier strip.
Preferably, the hollow profile has reinforcing struts on its inside. These run in at least two corners of the hollow profile over its entire length. You can in cross section z. B. be circular, wherein portions of the cross section are formed by the walls of the hollow profile. Such reinforcing struts can also serve as sockets for connecting bolts between two stacked hollow sections.
The distance between the cheeks can be chosen so that two carrier bars can be arranged side by side in a small distance between the cheeks. It is therefore provided that runs between the cheeks at least one divider. A first divider divides z. B. the groove in two sub-grooves for each one of the carrier strips. A second divider is provided on the inside of the transverse webs and forms a kind of intermediate cheek.
The cheeks are connected at several distributed over the length of the cheeks points with the support bar. A secure hold, with which even vertical forces can be permanently absorbed, is realized by rivets, which penetrate the package of cheeks and support bar and which are set after the carrier bar has been pushed between the cheeks.
