Hierbei werden notwendige Stillstandszeiten zum Verschließen des Verschlusses, für das Schussauslösen, für das Öffnen des Verschlusses sowie das Vorlegen einer Patrone vor den Verschluss durch eine umlaufende, von einem Motor angetriebene Kette realisiert (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/M242 Bushmaster).
