- the annular element 38 has two functions: on the one hand, its flat outer surface permits the printing of information about the nature of the product and/or information of a commercial and/or advertising nature, or the application of an adhesive label carrying such information; on the other hand, the annular element can easily be removed by the consumer, for example before the container is placed in the freezer, so as to promote additionally the flow of air through the gap 18 to accelerate the freezing process.
