Definitions

  • the invention relates to a contactlessly controlled water fitting according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the presence detector has, for example, an infrared sensor which is arranged so that it can detect the presence of an object and in particular a hand in a predetermined area. Via a control, the valve is opened after a presence detection via a signal. Water then flows into the housing and to the water outlet. To power a battery is stored in the fitting body, or the power supply is ensured by a connection to a network. For a revision, the housing is removable.
  • the presence detector has on a lower side a holder and is connected thereto with electrical contact pins with a contact carrier, which is arranged on the base.
  • the Applicant has become known a fitting in which the presence detector placed on a window housing part (window member 230), which is fastened with two screws to the base. With another screw, the housing is connected to the socket. After loosening this screw can Housing to be removed from the socket. The presence detector remains here on the pedestal. The presence detector is electrically connected to the valve via connection cables. These cables can be separated at a plug contact. The sealing of this window housing part to the housing and the base is relatively expensive. In order to remove the housing, an automatic valve lock due to contact interruption is required. This is done here by loosening the screw, with which the housing is connected to the base.
  • the EP-A-0 688 909 discloses a water fitting in which a battery, the presence detector and a controller are mounted in an insert part.
  • the insertion part is inserted into a recess of the base and fixed therein by means of a screw.
  • About a connection cable of the presence detector or the controller is connected to the valve, which is also stored here on the base.
  • the insertion part can be pulled out of the recess of the base.
  • the insertion part can be released from the valve.
  • a revision is relatively expensive, since the housing can only be removed from the base, when said screw dissolved, removed the insertion part and the connector of the cable is interrupted.
  • an insertion part is also provided, but this is inserted from below into a recess of the base.
  • the invention is based on the object to provide a water fitting of the type mentioned, which avoids the disadvantages mentioned. In particular, the assembly and maintenance and the seal should be easier.
  • the problem is solved according to claim 1. If the housing is separated from the base, the electrical contacts between the holder and the contact carrier are automatically interrupted. Due to this contact separation, the valve is automatically closed immediately. Cables do not need to be interrupted. After a revision, the housing can very easily be plugged back onto the base and secured, for example, with a screw.
  • the electrical contacts between the holder and the contact carrier can be made solely by plugging. It must be so Do not connect separate cables together. The seal is much easier, since only the window of the presence detector must be sealed against the housing. This can be done for example with a simple ring seal.
  • the power can be supplied by a battery, which is stored on the base. But it is also possible to connect to a supply network.
  • the holder has a plate on which the electrical contacts are arranged and that the plate has a bottom on which these contacts are electrically connected to the contacts of the contact carrier.
  • This plate may for example be formed approximately circular and inserted into the receiving space of the housing. Such a plate can be relatively easily locked, for example, with spring arms in the housing.
  • the holder has two contacts for contacting a power source and two contacts for controlling the valve.
  • the holder has an opening into which the presence detector is inserted from a receiving space of the housing radially outward.
  • the holder with the presence detector is inserted into the receiving space of the housing.
  • By a radially outward movement of the presence detector is then inserted into said opening of the holder.
  • the presence detector is now positioned in the housing.
  • the presence detector is locked in said opening of the holder.
  • latching means for example latching ribs, are arranged in the opening on the holder.
  • the presence detector is connected via connecting cable movable with the contacts of the holder.
  • the presence detector is then thus inseparably connected to the holder, but can be moved radially for insertion into said opening of the holder. With a radially inwardly directed movement, the presence detector can then be removed from the opening correspondingly during a revision, but remains connected to the holder via the connecting cables.
  • the electrical contacts of the contact carrier are formed by resilient elements, which are each stretched against a contact of the holder.
  • These elements can be realized in a particularly simple and yet secure manner by means of springs, for example spiral springs. When placing the housing, these springs are tensioned. This results in a secure electrical contact, which is interrupted immediately when removing the housing.
  • the contact carrier consists of two parts, wherein the one part is electrically connected to the valve and the other part is electrically connected to the energy source or the supply network.
  • Such a contact carrier can be produced particularly easily.
  • the electrical contacts are also easy to produce.
  • both parts are releasably secured to the base, for example screwed.
  • the contact carrier engages from below into the receiving space of the housing and supports the presence detector in this receiving space and fixed in the intended position. This results in a particularly simple yet secure fixation of the presence detector in the housing. Wedges or the like for fixing the presence detector are not required.
  • placing the housing on the base of the presence detector is thus automatically fixed by said contact carrier. After removing the housing from the base is then according to the presence detector again detachable from the holder or from the housing.
  • the fixation of the presence detector is carried out according to an embodiment of the invention by a wall which is slightly offset radially inwards.
  • This wall is arranged according to an embodiment of the invention to a carrier of the contact carrier, which is also a battery carrier. This results in a particularly simple structure.
  • the water fitting 1 has a base 2 which can be fastened in a manner known per se to a washbasin, not shown here, or to a building wall. For attachment is from below into the base 2 a here merely indicated fastening screw thirteenth intended.
  • the water supply via water pipes 12, which are also only indicated.
  • In the base 2 a here not shown and manually operated mixing valve is arranged.
  • a circular opening 37 is incorporated, in which an electromagnetically operated and a sealing ring 40 exhibiting valve 6 is inserted.
  • the connecting piece 38 is fastened with a fastening screw 50 on the base 2.
  • FIG. 1 shows passage 57 of a housing 3, so that the water channel 39 is connected to a water passage 22 of the housing 3.
  • an arrow 47 indicates the direction in which the housing 3 is placed on the base 2 during assembly.
  • the housing 3 is sealed with a sealing ring 14 arranged on the base 2 with respect to the base 2.
  • the water flowing into the water channel 22 passes through a water outlet opening 5 of a mouthpiece 23 to the outside. This mouthpiece 23 is inserted into a protruding outlet part 4 of the housing 3.
  • a contact carrier 58 is placed, according to the FIG. 6 consists of a contact carrier part 9 and a contact carrier part 10.
  • the contact carrier part 9 is arranged on the valve 6 and fastened with two fastening screws 41 on the base 2.
  • two contact springs 34 are arranged, which are each connected via a connecting line 60 electrically connected to the valve 6.
  • the contact springs 34 project beyond the upper side 59. They are preferably coil springs, but may also be other suitable resilient contacts.
  • the contacts could for example also be designed as resilient tongues.
  • the contact carrier part 10 also has on the upper side two contact springs 35, which may be formed the same as the contact springs 34.
  • a battery 11 is mounted, which is connected via contact springs 62 and only partially shown lines 61 to the contact springs 35.
  • the contact carrier part 10 is also fastened with two fastening screws 42 on the base 2. Between the two contacts 35, a securing rib 36 is arranged, which is a short circuit between the two To prevent contact springs 34 and 35.
  • the contact springs 34 and 35 according to FIG. 1 arranged in a plane spaced from each other.
  • the housing 3 has in a substantially circular cylindrical and open at the bottom part 63 a receiving space 18, in which a holder 8 is inserted from below.
  • the holder 8 has a substantially circular plate 43 on which a plurality of spring arms 27 are formed, with which the holder 8 at a FIG. 2 shown shoulder 64 is locked.
  • On the plate 43 two downwardly projecting webs 32 are integrally formed, which are connected to one another at a lower end with a cross member 45.
  • the two webs 32 and 45 form an opening into which a presence detector 7 is inserted from the inside and fixed to locking ribs 33, which are each formed on the inside of a web 32.
  • the presence detector 7 has, for example, a known infrared sensor with a window 24, which is formed for example circular.
  • the plate 43 has according to FIG. 3 for the passage of the connecting piece 38, a lateral recess 16.
  • the presence detector 7 has a controller, not shown here but known per se. This control is connected on the one hand via two connecting cable 25 with two contact plates 30 and two electrical connection cable 26 with two contact plates 31. These contact plates 30 and 31 are each in a in FIG. 5 shown recess 65 of the plate 43 used, for example, locked.
  • the FIG. 4 indicates with an arrow 48 the direction in which the contact plates 31 are used.
  • the contact plates 30 and 31 are each electrically connected to one of the leads 25 and 26 at an upper side 28 of the plate 43, respectively. On an underside 29 of the plate 43, the contact plates 30 and 31 are electrically contacted. These contact plates 30 and 31 are arranged so that when the housing 3 is mounted one of the contact springs 34 and 35 is tensioned against one of the contact plates 30 and 31 and electrically contacted.
  • the presence detector 2 is then connected to the battery 11 via the two contact plates 31, and the contact of the presence detector 7 with the valve 6 is ensured via the contact plate 30.
  • Connection cable 67 also allows connection to a network for the power supply. If the housing 3 lifted off the base 2, the contacts of the contact springs 34 and 35 to the Contact plates 30 and 31 immediately lifted. The interruption of the electrical connection of the valve 6 to the presence detector 7 has the consequence that the valve 6 is immediately closed, if it is open.
  • the housing 3 can thus be removed together with the holder 8 and the presence detector 7 from the base 2 and thus separated. In this case, the said electrical contacts are interrupted. The valve 6 and the battery 11 remain in this case on the base 2.
  • the holder 8 and the presence detector 7 are stored in the housing 3 even after separation.
  • the window 24 of the presence detector 7 is located in the in FIG. 2 shown circular opening 20 of the sleeve-shaped part 63. With an annular seal 46 of the presence detector 7 is sealed relative to this opening 20. If the housing 3 is lifted off the base 2, then the presence detector 7 can be unlocked by hand with a pressure on the window 24 and radially inwardly into the in FIG. 2 shown position to be moved.
  • the presence detector 7 is then still electrically and mechanically connected to the holder 8 via the connecting lines 25 and 26.
  • the spring arms 27 By deflecting the spring arms 27 radially inwardly, the locking of the holder 8 can be solved at the shoulder 64 of the housing 3 and thus the holder 8 are taken out together with the presence detector 7 from the receiving space 18.
  • the holder 8 To insert the holder 8 with the presence detector 7 back into the housing, the holder 8 is inserted from below into the receiving space 18 until the spring arms 27 engage the shoulder 64. The presence detector 7 is then inserted radially outwardly into the opening 44 until the locking ribs 33 are engaged.
  • the rubber-elastic seal 46 is in this case pressed on the inside of the circumference of the recess 20 to the part 63, so that, as already mentioned, the presence detector 7 is sealed relative to the recess 20.
  • the housing 3 can be placed on the base 2 again.
  • the said contacts are made and with the sealing ring 14, the housing 3 is sealed at the lower peripheral edge 21 relative to the base 2.
  • the two webs 32 of the holder 8 are in this case in an in FIG. 1 shown top and front open channel 66, which is formed by a wall 15 of the contact carrier part 10.
  • the presence detector 7 slides along this wall 15 and is finally supported in an end position by this. In the mounted state, the presence detector 7 can thus not be moved from the intended position.
  • the wall 15 supports the presence detector 7 so that the seal 46 is permanently pressed against the part 63 and thus the said tightness is ensured.
  • the housing 3 can be fixed with a screw, not shown here, in an opening 49 of the part 63 (FIG. FIG. 1 ) and screwed to the base 2.
  • a screw connection instead of a screw connection, however, other connections are conceivable here as well.
