Description

Richtkoppler mit induktiv kompensierter Richtschärfe
Die Erfindung betrifft einen Richtkoppler zur gerichteten Übertragung von Hochfrequenz-Signalen.
Zum Stand der Technik sei hier z.B. auf die US 5,424,694 verwiesen. In dieser wird ein Richtkoppler beschrieben, welcher in Streifenleitungstechnik auf einer Substratebene aufgebaut ist. Durch ohmsche Widerstände und Induktivitäten wird das Frequenzverhalten des Richtkopplers beeinflusst. Eine Überlagerung von Signalen zur Ausnutzung von Interferenz findet jedoch nicht statt.
Herkömmlich werden in Richtkopplern gekoppelte Leitungen eingesetzt. Mit einem einlagigen Aufbau auf einer Leiterplatte lassen sich jedoch lediglich geringe Richtschärfen erzielen. Eine Richtschärfe von über 3OdB lässt sich bei herkömmlichem Aufbau erst mit einem mindestens dreilagigen oder mechanisch sehr komplexen Aufbau oder durch eine explizierte Optimierung der Richtschärfe jedes einzelnen Richtkopplers während der Herstellung erreichen.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zu Grunde, einen Richtkoppler zu schaffen, die bei geringem Aufwand des Schaltungsaufbaus eine hohe Richtschärfe in einem gewünschten Frequenzbereich aufweist.
Die Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß durch einen Richtkoppler mit den Merkmalen des unabhängigen Anspruchs 1 gelöst. Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen sind Gegenstand der hierauf rückbezogenen Unteransprüche. Der erfindungsgemäße Richtkoppler verfügt über zumindest zwei gekoppelte Leitungen, zumindest drei Anschlüsse und zumindest eine Induktivität. Ein Hochfrequenz-Signal wird von der ersten gekoppelten Leitung auf die zweite gekoppelte Leitung übertragen. Die zweite gekoppelte Leitung verfügt dabei über einen Vorwärtspfad und über einen Rückwärtspfad, die mit einem gemeinsamen Anschluss verbunden sind. Eine erste Induktivität ist in Reihe mit dem Rückwärtspfad geschaltet. Dieser Aufbau der Schaltung ermöglicht die erforderlich hohe Richtschärfe im gewünschten Frequenzbereich.
Die erste gekoppelte Leitung verfügt vorteilhafterweise über mindestens zwei Anschlüsse. Die zweite gekoppelte Leitung verfügt vorteilhafterweise über mindestens einen Anschluss. Dieser Aufbau ermöglicht die Einprägung von Signalen in die Schaltung und das Abgreifen von Signalen an der Schaltung.
Die gewünschte Kopplung erfolgt von einem ersten Anschluss der ersten Leitung zu einem Anschluss der zweiten Leitung. Eine solche Kopplung erfolgt vorteilhafterweise bei höchstens geringer Dämpfung. Eine Kopplung von einem zweiten Anschluss der ersten Leitung zu dem Anschluss der zweiten Leitung ist unerwünscht. Eine solche Kopplung erfolgt vorteilhafterweise bei starker Dämpfung. Somit ist eine hohe Richtschärfe erreichbar.
Vorteilhafterweise ist die zweite gekoppelte Leitung mit einem Absorber bzw. Wellensumpf verbunden. Die Schaltung ist bevorzugt in Streifenleitungstechnik aufgebaut. Die Schaltung ist vorteilhafterweise auf der Vorderseite eines Substrats aufgebaut. Die Rückseite des Substrats ist vorteilhafterweise metallisiert. Der Wellensumpf ist vorteilhafterweise durch eine ohmsche Verbindung zu der metallisierten Rückseite des Substrats, welches vorteilhafterweise Bezugspotential bzw. Massepotential aufweist, ausgebildet. Die Verbindung zu einem Wellensumpf sorgt für einen reflexionsfreien Abschluss.
Die Länge des Vorwärtspfades und/oder die Länge des Rückwärtspfades und/oder die Größe der ersten Induktivität bestimmen vorteilhafterweise frequenzabhängig die Übertragungseigenschaften und die Richtschärfe der Schaltung. Durch die Bestimmung der drei Parameter ist die Abstimmung des gewünschten Frequenzverlaufs der Richtschärfe möglich.
Vorteilhafterweise ist der dritte Anschluss der Schaltung mit einer zweiten Induktivität in Reihe und vorteilhafterweise mit einer Kapazität parallel geschaltet. Vorteilhafterweise bilden die zweite Induktivität und die Kapazität ein LC-Glied.
Vorteilhafterweise ist der Frequenzverlauf der Richtschärfe und der Übertragungseigenschaften über die Größe der zweiten Induktivität und die Größe der Kapazität genau bestimmbar. Dies ermöglicht eine noch größere Flexibilität der Abstimmbarkeit des Frequenzverlaufs der Richtschärfe .
Vorzugsweise werden zwei zweite gekoppelte Leitungen und zweite erste Induktivitäten eingesetzt. Damit wird vorteilhafterweise ein punktsymmetrischer Aufbau des
Richtkopplers erreicht, wobei der Symmetriepunkt auf der ersten Leitung liegt. Durch den symmetrischen Aufbau sind beide Koppelrichtungen in dem Richtkoppler realisiert. Nachfolgend wird die Erfindung anhand der Zeichnung, in der ein vorteilhaftes Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung dargestellt ist, beispielhaft beschrieben. In der Zeichnung zeigen:
Fig. 1 ein erstes beispielhaftes Prinzip-Schaltbild eines ersten Ausführungsbeispiels des erfindungsgemäßen Riehtkopplers ;

Fig. 4 eine beispielhafte Darstellung der Anordnung der Bauelemente des zweiten Ausführungsbeispiels des erfindungsgemäßen Richtkopplers.
Anhand der Fig. 1 - 4 wird der schaltungstechnische Aufbau und die Funktionsweise eines erfindungsgemäßen Richtkopplers erläutert. Identische Elemente wurden in ähnlichen Abbildungen zum Teil nicht wiederholt dargestellt und beschrieben.
Fig. 1 zeigt ein erstes beispielhaftes Schaltbild eines erfindungsgemäßen Richtkopplers. Eine erste Leitung 19 ist mit einer zweiten Leitung 18 gekoppelt. Die erste Leitung verfügt über die beiden Anschlüsse 10 und 14. Die zweite Leitung ist über einen Vorwärtspfad 17 und einen Rückwärtspfad 15 mit einem Anschluss 12 verbunden. Dem Rückwärtspfad 15 in Serie geschaltet bzw. in den Rückwärtspfad 15 integriert ist dabei eine Induktivität 16. Eine Kopplung 11 der Signale von dem Anschluss 10 auf den Anschluss 12 ist gewünscht, während eine Kopplung 13 von dem Anschluss 14 auf den Anschluss 12 unerwünscht ist. Durch Übertragung der Signale der Anschlüsse 10 und 14 über den Vorwärtspfad 17 und den Rückwärtspfad 15 an den gemeinsamen Anschluss 12 wird dort eine Überlagerung der Signal-Anteile erreicht. Durch eine optimierte Länge des Vorwärtspfades 17 und des Rückwärtspfades 15 und eine optimierte Größe der Induktivität 16 wird am Anschluss 12 ein gewünschter Frequenzverlauf der Richtschärfe durch konstruktive und destruktive Überlagerung erzeugt.
In Fig. 2 ist eine erste beispielhafte Darstellung der Anordnung der Bauelemente des in Fig. 1 gezeigten ersten Ausführungsbeispiels des erfindungsgemäßen Richtkopplers dargestellt. Die Schaltung ist auf einem Substrat 31 mit metallisierter Rückseite in Streifenleitungstechnik aufgebaut. Der Aufbau bildet einen Richtkoppler, welcher Anschlüsse für beide Koppelrichtungen enthält. Eine erste Streifenleitung 32 ist mit zwei Koaxialanschlüssen 30 und 40 abgeschlossen. Zweite Streifenleitungen 33 und 36 sind an die erste Streifenleitung 32 gekoppelt. Die zweiten Streifenleitungen 33 und 36 sind über jeweils einen Vorwärtspfad 34 und 35 und jeweils einen Rückwärtspfad 39 und 44 mit jeweils einem Koaxialanschluss 37 und 42 verbunden.
Den Rückwärtspfaden 39 und 44 sind Induktivitäten 38 und 43 in Serie geschaltet bzw. die Induktivitäten 38, 42 sind in die Rückwärtspfade 39, 44 integriert. Die erwünschten Koppelrichtungen führen von Anschluss 30 zu Anschluss 37 und von Anschluss 40 zu Anschluss 42. Die unerwünschten Koppelrichtungen führen von Anschluss 30 zu Anschluss 42 und von Anschluss 40 zu Anschluss 37. Durch die räumliche Nähe der ersten Steifenleitung 32 zu den zweiten Streifenleitungen 33 und 36 sind die Streifenleitungen elektromagnetisch gekoppelt. Durch Übertragung der Signale der Anschlüsse 30 und 40 über Vorwärtspfade 34 und 35 und Rückwärtspfade 39 und 44 an die gemeinsamen Anschlüsse 37 und 42 wird durch eine Überlagerung der Signal-Anteile erreicht. Durch eine optimierte Länge der Vorwärtspfade 34 und 35 und der Rückwärtspfade 39 und 44 und eine optimierte Größen der Induktivitäten 38 und 43 wird an den Anschlüssen 37 und 42 ein gewünschter
Frequenzverlauf der Richtschärfe durch konstruktive und destruktive Überlagerung in einem breiten Frequenzband erzeugt .
Die zweiten Streifenleitungen 33 und 36, die zugehörigen Vorwärtspfade 34 und 35, Rückwärtspfade 39 und 44, Induktivitäten 38, 43 und Koaxialanschlüsse 37 und 42 sind punktsymmetrisch zu einem Punkt auf der ersten Streifenleitung 32 angeordnet. Damit ergibt sich ein Richtkoppler mit vier Anschlüssen 30, 37, 40 und 42 und zwei vorgesehen Koppelrichtungen.
Fig. 3 zeigt ein zweites beispielhaftes Prinzip-Schaltbild eines zweiten Ausführungsbeispiels des erfindungsgemäßen Kopplers. Eine erste Leitung 62 ist mit einer zweiten
Leitung 61 gekoppelt. Die erste Leitung verfügt über die beiden Anschlüsse 50 und 56. Die zweite Leitung ist über einen Vorwärtspfad 60 und einen Rückwärtspfad 57 mit einem Anschluss 53 verbunden. Dem Rückwärtspfad in Serie geschaltet bzw. in diesen integriert ist dabei eine
Induktivität 59. Dem Anschluss 53 in Serie geschaltet bzw. in diesen integriert ist eine zweite Induktivität 54. Eine Kapazität 52 ist dem Vorwärtspfad 60 parallel geschaltet, indem der Vorwärtspfad 60 über die Kapazität 52 mit dem Bezugspotential bzw. der Schaltungsmasse verbunden ist. Die Induktivität 54 und die Kapazität 52 bilden ein LC- Glied. Ein Wellensumpf bzw. Absorber 58 ist dem Rückwärtspfad 57 parallel geschaltet, indem der Rückwärtspfad 57 über einen ohmschen Widerstand 58 mit dem Bezugspotential bzw. der Schaltungsmasse verbunden ist. Eine Kopplung 51 der Signale von dem Anschluss 50 auf den Anschluss 53 ist gewünscht, während eine Kopplung 55 von dem Anschluss 56 auf den Anschluss 53 unerwünscht ist. Durch Übertragung der Signale der Anschlüsse 50 und 56 über den Vorwärtspfad 60 und den Rückwärtspfad 57 an den gemeinsamen Anschluss 53 wird dort eine Überlagerung der Signal-Anteile erreicht. Durch eine optimierte Länge des Vorwärtspfades 60 und des Rückwärtspfades 57 und eine optimierte Größe der Induktivität 59 wird am Anschluss 53 ein gewünschter Frequenzverlauf der Richtschärfe durch konstruktive und destruktive Überlagerung erzeugt. Das zusätzliche LC-Glied dient der genauen Einstellung des gewünschten Frequenzverlaufs der Richtschärfe.
In Fig. 4 ist eine zweite beispielhafte Darstellung der Anordnung der Bauelemente einer erfindungsgemäßen Schaltung entsprechend dem Ausführungsbeispiel nach Fig. 3 dargestellt. Die Schaltung ist auf einem Substrat 81 mit metallisierter Rückseite in Streifenleitungstechnik aufgebaut. Der Aufbau bildet einen Richtkoppler, welcher Anschlüsse für beide Koppelrichtungen enthält. Eine erste Streifenleitung 82 ist mit zwei Koaxialanschlüssen 80 und 93 abgeschlossen. Zweite Streifenleitungen 83 und 86 sind an die erste Streifenleitung 82 gekoppelt. Die zweiten Streifenleitungen 83 und 86 sind über jeweils einen Vorwärtspfad 84 und 85 und jeweils einen Rückwärtspfad 92 und 100 mit jeweils einem Koaxialanschluss 88 und 96 verbunden. Den Rückwärtspfaden 92 und 100 sind erste Induktivitäten 90 und 98 in Serie geschaltet. Den Anschlüssen 88 und 96 sind zweite Induktivitäten 89 und 97 in Reihe geschaltet.
Den Vorwärtspfaden 84 und 85 sind zusätzlich Kapazitäten 87 und 95 parallel geschaltet. Die Kapazitäten 87 und 95 sind mit der metallisierten Rückseite des Substrats 81 verbunden. Die zweiten Induktivitäten und die Kapazitäten bilden LC-Glieder. Den Rückwärtspfaden 92 und 100 sind weiterhin Wellensümpfe 91 und 99 parallel geschaltet. Die Wellensümpfe sind durch ohmsche Verbindungen zu der metallisierten Rückseite des Substrats 81 realisiert.
Die erwünschten Koppelrichtungen führen von Anschluss 80 zu Anschluss 88 und von Anschluss 93 zu Anschluss 96. Die unerwünschten Koppelrichtungen führen von Anschluss 80 zu Anschluss 96 und von Anschluss 93 zu Anschluss 88. Durch die räumliche Nähe der ersten Streifenleitung 82 und den zweiten Streifenleitungen 83 und 86 sind die Streifenleitungen elektromagnetisch gekoppelt. Durch
Übertragung der Signale der Anschlüsse 80 und 93 über die Vorwärtspfade 84 und 85 und die Rückwärtspfade 92 und 100 an die gemeinsamen Anschlüsse 88 und 96 wird dort eine Überlagerung der Signal-Anteile erreicht. Durch eine optimierte Länge der Vorwärtspfade 84 und 85 und der
Rückwärtspfade 92 und 100 und eine optimierte Größen der Induktivitäten 90 und 98 wird an den Anschlüssen 88 und 96 ein gewünschter Frequenzverlauf der Richtschärfe in einem breiten Frequenzband durch konstruktive und destruktive Überlagerung erzeugt. Die zusätzlichen LC-Glieder dienen der genauen Einstellung des gewünschten Frequenzverlaufs der Richtschärfe. Die zweiten Streifenleitungen 83 und 86, die zugehörigen Vorwärtspfade 84 und 85, Rückwärtspfade 92 und 100, Induktivitäten 89, 90 und 97, 98, Kapazitäten 87 und 95, Wellensümpfe 91 und 99 und Koaxialanschlüsse 88 und 96 sind punktsymmetrisch zu einem Punkt auf der ersten Streifenleitung 82 angeordnet. Damit ergibt sich ein Richtkoppler mit vier Anschlüssen 80, 88, 93 und 96 und zwei vorgesehen Koppelrichtungen.
Die Erfindung ist nicht auf das dargestellte
Ausführungsbeispiel beschränkt. So können unterschiedliche weitere, den Frequenzgang der Richtschärfe beeinflussende Bauelemente eingesetzt werden. Ebenso ist ein Einsatz der Struktur in mehrlagigen Leiterplatten denkbar. Alle vorstehend beschriebenen Merkmale oder in den Figuren gezeigten Merkmale sind im Rahmen der Erfindung beliebig miteinander kombinierbar.

Claims

Ansprüche
1. Richtkoppler mit zumindest zwei gekoppelten Leitungen (18, 19, 32, 33, 36, 61, 62, 82, 83, 86) und zumindest drei Anschlüssen (10, 12, 14, 30, 37, 40, 42, 50, 53, 56, 80, 88, 93, 96) zur gerichteten Übertragung von Hochfrequenz-Signalen, wobei das Hochfrequenz-Signal von der ersten gekoppelten Leitung (19, 32, 62, 82) auf die zweite gekoppelte Leitung (18, 33, 36, 61, 83, 86) übertragen wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die zweite gekoppelte Leitung (18, 33, 36, 61, 83, 86) über einen Vorwärtspfad (17, 34, 60, 84) und über einen Rückwärtspfad (15, 39, 57, 92) mit einem Anschluss (12, 37, 42, 53, 88, 96) der zweiten gekoppelten Leitung (18, 33, 36, 61, 83, 86) verbunden ist, und dass eine erste Induktivität (16, 38, 43, 59, 90, 98) in Reihe mit dem Rückwärtspfad (15, 39, 57, 92) geschaltet ist.
2. Richtkoppler nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die erste gekoppelte Leitung (19, 32, 62, 82) über zumindest zwei Anschlüsse (10, 14, 30, 40, 50, 56, 80, 93) verfügt, und dass die zweite gekoppelte Leitung (18, 33, 36, 61, 83, 86) über zumindest einen Anschluss (12, 37, 42, 53, 88, 96) verfügt.
3. Richtkoppler nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Übertragung von Signalen von einem ersten Anschluss (10, 30, 50, 80) der ersten gekoppelten Leitung (19, 32, 62, 82) zu dem Anschluss (12, 37, 42, 53, 88, 96) der zweiten gekoppelten Leitung (18, 33, 36, 61, 83, 86) nur schwach gedämpft ist, und dass die Übertragung von Signalen von einem zweiten Anschluss (14, 40, 56, 93) der ersten gekoppelten Leitung (19, 32, 62, 82) zu dem Anschluss (12, 37, 42, 53, 88, 96) der zweiten gekoppelten Leitung (18, 33, 36, 61, 83, 86) stark gedämpft ist.
4. Richtkoppler nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die zweite gekoppelte Leitung (18, 33, 36, 61, 83, 86) mit einem Absorber bzw. Wellensumpf (58, 91, 99) verbunden ist.
5. Richtkoppler nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Schaltung in Streifenleitungstechnik aufgebaut ist.
6. Richtkoppler nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die gekoppelten Leitungen auf der Vorderseite eines
Substrats (31, 81) angeordnet sind, dass die Rückseite des Substrats (31, 81) metallisiert ist, und dass der Absorber bzw. Wellensumpf (58, 91, 99) durch eine ohmsche Verbindung zu der metallisierten Rückseite des
Substrats (31, 81) ausgebildet ist, und dass die metallisierte Rückseite des Substrats (31, 81) auf ein Bezugspotential, insbesondere Massepotential, gelegt ist.
7. Richtkoppler nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Länge des Vorwärtspfades (17, 34, 60, 84) und/oder die Länge des Rückwärtspfades (15, 39, 57, 92) und/oder die Größe der ersten Induktivität (16, 38, 43, 59, 90, 98) so bemessen sind, dass sich über ein breites Frequenzband eine hohe Richtschärfe des Richtkopplers ergibt .
8. Richtkoppler nach Anspruch 2 oder 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet:, dass der Anschluss (12, 37, 42, 53, 88, 96) der zweiten gekoppelten Leitung (18, 33, 36, 61, 83, 86) mit einer zweiten Induktivität (54, 89, 97) in Reihe geschaltet ist, dass der Anschluss (12, 37, 42, 53, 88, 96) der zweiten gekoppelten Leitung (18, 33, 36, 61, 83, 86) mit einer Kapazität (52, 87, 95) parallel geschaltet ist, und dass die zweite Induktivität (54, 89, 97) und die Kapazität (52, 87, 95) ein LC-Glied bilden.
9. Richtkoppler nach Anspruch 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Größe der zweiten Induktivität (54, 89, 97) und die Größe der Kapazität (52, 87, 95) so bemessen sind, dass sie die Richtschärfe des Richtkopplers bestimmen.
10. Richtkoppler nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass zwei zweite gekoppelte Leitungen (83, 86) und zweite erste Induktivitäten vorhanden sind, die punktsymmetrisch so angeordnet sind, dass sich der Symmetriepunkt auf der ersten Leitung (82) befindet.
