At the same time, this spring 3 also acts (via the point of connection 310) on the part 4, and tends to rotate about its axis 400 so as to apply the facet 41 against the stopper pin 20. This is explained by the fact that the action line of the spring 3 passes above the axes 100 and 400.

- the moment exerted by the spring 3 on the pedal 1 in the direction F which is the product of the force by the lever arm, is therefore significantly lower than that which preceded the change of orientation of the part 4. Thanks to this lowering of the effort which solicits it in the direction F, the pedal 1 can rotate in a safe and open way in the opposite direction, under the action of the elastic system internal to the clutch mechanism, as soon as the driver has ceased to operate the pedal.
