Definitions
- the invention relates to a nozzle for a floor care appliance for cleaning surfaces such as textile floor coverings and smooth floors, with a sliding sole disposed on the underside, in which an opening in the form of a suction mouth is arranged, from which leads to a connection piece an intake duct, wherein the suction mouth is limited by suction mouth edges in the thrust direction of the floor nozzle, wherein the rear suction mouth edge is designed to pivot about an axis extending transversely to the thrust direction, wherein the rear Saugmundkante a rear pivot stop limit and a front pivot stop limit is assigned, and wherein the rear Saugmundkante when resting on front pivot stop and non-resting floor nozzle protrudes from the support plane of the floor nozzle.
- An aforementioned floor nozzle is for example from the DE-OS 2 139 157 known.
- a Quetschlippe of metal or plastic is arranged in the area of action of the suction mouth, which is pivotable between a front oblique position and a rear oblique position.
- Floor jets are connected to a suction pipe via the connection pipe in the case of vacuum cleaners and hand vacuum cleaners, and are continuously advanced and pulled back to clean a floor surface.
- the floor nozzles usually have a retractable bristle rim, the dirt then collects within this ring and is absorbed.
- the bristle rim is retracted and therefore not active.
- the carpet pile is bent up by the suction mouth edges on the sliding sole in the direction of movement. As a result, the suction flow passes between the individual pile fibers and the floor nozzle can also absorb the dust that adheres to the bottom of the pile.
- the floor nozzle When retracting the floor nozzle on high-pile carpets, the floor nozzle rises slightly in the rear area. This limits the mechanical effect of the rear suction mouth edge on the carpet pile, removing less dust from the carpet. During feed, the rear suction mouth edge is pressed lightly into the carpet and therefore increases the resistance to movement.
- Both the front and the rear suction mouth are formed by a pivotable plow.
- the end portions of the plow ridges are raised with respect to so-called Gleitquerkanten, but they are both during the feed and during retraction above the support plane of the floor nozzle, which is formed here by front Stützröllchen and rear support wheels.
- the invention thus raises the problem of improving a floor nozzle of the type mentioned in that it ensures a satisfactory cleaning result and a high level of user comfort despite its simple structure, even on deep-pile carpets.
- the achievable with the invention advantages are that on the one hand reduces the resistance to movement during the advance of the floor nozzle and on the other hand when retracting the floor nozzle, the mechanical action is increased to a carpet. This is achieved by the fact that the rear suction mouth edge protrudes from the bearing level of the floor nozzle when resting against the front pivot stop stop and not lying floor nozzle. This achieves a deeper penetration into the carpet when pulled back. At the feed, where the rear suction mouth then pivots away from this active position, the front swing limit stop should not prevent forward movement. Therefore, he should stand back against the support level of the floor nozzle.
- restoring forces act in the direction of the front suction mouth edge on the rear suction mouth edge.
- the rear suction mouth edge is formed by the lower edge of an elastic lip. It is advantageous if the lip in the region of the pivot axis has a greater elasticity than in the support area on the surface to be cleaned. This will cause the lip to bend away prevents the retraction of the nozzle and thereby sufficient bending forces are brought to the pile.
- the rear suction mouth edge is associated with a rear pivot limiting stop. This prevents a bending back of this edge to an area in which they would no longer actively seal the suction mouth. It is expedient if the rear pivot stop limits the pivoting angle of the rear suction mouth edge in the direction of the connection piece such that it is from a position perpendicular to the support plane of the floor nozzle between 45 ° and 90 °, preferably about 70 °.
- the rear suction mouth edge is associated with a front pivot limiting stop.
- the front pivot limiting stop limits the pivoting angle of the rear suction mouth edge in the direction of the front suction mouth edge such that the rear suction mouth edge is in contact with the front pivot limiting stop in an at least approximately vertical position to the support plane.
- FIG. 1 An embodiment of the invention is shown purely schematically in a drawing and will be described in more detail below.
- the figure shows a cross section through an inventively designed nozzle 1, which is suitable for example in conjunction with a floor or hand vacuum cleaner for cleaning textile floor coverings and smooth floors.
- It comprises a plastic housing 2, which merges into a pivotally mounted connection piece 3.
- rollers 4 are arranged to facilitate guidance and movement of the nozzle.
- a sliding sole 5 is used, which is usually made of plastic or a thermoformed sheet metal part. Between the edge of the sliding sole 5 and the housing side walls 6, a circumferential, height-adjustable bristle ring 7 is arranged. The adjustment is not relevant to the invention and therefore not further described.
- the sliding sole 5 is a square opening, the so-called suction mouth 8. From the suction mouth 8, an intake passage 9 extends to the connecting piece. 3
- the suction mouth 8 is formed by a front suction mouth edge 81 and a rear suction mouth edge 82.
- the floor nozzle 1 in the thrust direction symbolized in the figure by the double arrow 10
- the front Saugmundkante 81 and the lowest points 41 of the rollers are on and thus form a support plane, which is symbolized by the line 11.
- the front suction mouth edge 81 is formed from the sliding sole 5
- the rear suction mouth edge 82 is formed by the lower edge of an elastic lip 83, the latter being fixed in a receptacle 51 provided in the sliding sole 5.
- the lip 83 is made in a two-component injection molding process, the portion 84, which has contact with the floor covering, consists of a hard material.
- the material portion 85 in the region of the receptacle 51 has a greater elasticity.
- the lip 83 or the rear suction mouth edge 82 is designed to be pivotable about an axis extending transversely to the direction of thrust, as symbolized by the dashed double arrow 86.
- a resilient hinge for fastening the lip 83 or rear suction mouth edge 82 can be used. Such an embodiment is not shown in the drawings. If the nozzle 1 does not rest on the ground, the lower edge 82 of the lip protrudes by a dimension D between 0.5 mm and 4 mm beyond the support plane, this is shown in an enlarged section A.
- the space behind the lip 83 is such that it functions as a rear pivot limiting stop 87 for the rear suction mouth edge 82.
- the inclination of the sliding sole 5 in this area allows a pivoting angle of the lip 83 and rear suction mouth edge 82 of approximately 45 ° to 90 °, preferably of approximately 70 ° to the vertical (with respect to the support plane).
- a rigid web 88 In front of the rear suction mouth edge 82 is a rigid web 88, which remains by the dimension d between 0.5 mm and 4 mm with respect to the support plane.
- the web 88 forms a front pivot limiting stop, so that the spring back lip 83 remains approximately in the vertical position (with respect to the support plane).
- the rear flexible suction mouth edge 82 no longer causes an increase in the pushing force as in a conventional floor nozzle 1.
- the lip 83 pivots backwards and is pushed over the floor covering at a flat adjusted angle.
- a good seal of the intake passage 9 is guaranteed to cleaning surface regardless of the pile height.
- the rear suction mouth edge 82 When retracting the floor nozzle 1, the rear suction mouth edge 82 is relevant for good dust absorption efficiency. As a result of the above-described slight lifting of the rear region of the floor nozzle 1, the rear suction mouth edge 82 in conventional floor nozzles 1 would no longer strike the carpet pile as effectively. Since the flexible suction mouth edge 82 described here is made longer overall and is supported perpendicular to the floor covering on the front limit stop (web 88), the contact with the carpet pile is unevenly more aggressive than with conventional floor nozzles. This achieves an increase in the dust-collecting efficiency.
- the lip 83 Due to the ground contact, which takes place during use of the nozzle 1, the lip 83 while retracting the nozzle 1, although slightly bent in the direction of the front suction mouth edge 81, but it remains ensured that the lip 83 penetrates deeper into the pile than the front suction mouth edge 81. This ensures that even a short pile is bent.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a nozzle for a floor care appliance for cleaning surfaces such as textile floor coverings and smooth floors, with a sliding sole disposed on the underside, in which an opening in the form of a suction mouth is arranged, from which leads to a connection piece an intake duct, wherein the suction mouth is limited by suction mouth edges in the thrust direction of the floor nozzle, wherein the rear suction mouth edge is designed to pivot about an axis extending transversely to the thrust direction, wherein the rear Saugmundkante a rear pivot stop limit and a front pivot stop limit is assigned, and wherein the rear Saugmundkante when resting on front pivot stop and non-resting floor nozzle protrudes from the support plane of the floor nozzle.
Floor jets are connected to a suction pipe via the connection pipe in the case of vacuum cleaners and hand vacuum cleaners, and are continuously advanced and pulled back to clean a floor surface. To clean smooth floors, the floor nozzles usually have a retractable bristle rim, the dirt then collects within this ring and is absorbed. When cleaning carpets, the bristle rim is retracted and therefore not active. Here, during the suction process, the carpet pile is bent up by the suction mouth edges on the sliding sole in the direction of movement. As a result, the suction flow passes between the individual pile fibers and the floor nozzle can also absorb the dust that adheres to the bottom of the pile.
When retracting the floor nozzle on high-pile carpets, the floor nozzle rises slightly in the rear area. This limits the mechanical effect of the rear suction mouth edge on the carpet pile, removing less dust from the carpet. During feed, the rear suction mouth edge is pressed lightly into the carpet and therefore increases the resistance to movement.

The invention thus raises the problem of improving a floor nozzle of the type mentioned in that it ensures a satisfactory cleaning result and a high level of user comfort despite its simple structure, even on deep-pile carpets.
According to the invention, this problem is solved by a floor nozzle having the features of patent claim 1. Advantageous embodiments and further developments of the invention will become apparent from the following subclaims.
The achievable with the invention advantages are that on the one hand reduces the resistance to movement during the advance of the floor nozzle and on the other hand when retracting the floor nozzle, the mechanical action is increased to a carpet.
In an advantageous embodiment, restoring forces act in the direction of the front suction mouth edge on the rear suction mouth edge. As a result, a dense contact with the surface to be cleaned and thus a high suction force is achieved during the feed. In the simplest way, the rear suction mouth edge is formed by the lower edge of an elastic lip. It is advantageous if the lip in the region of the pivot axis has a greater elasticity than in the support area on the surface to be cleaned. This will cause the lip to bend away prevents the retraction of the nozzle and thereby sufficient bending forces are brought to the pile.
To support the sealing effect during the feed, it is advantageous if the rear suction mouth edge is associated with a rear pivot limiting stop.
To support the mechanical action on the carpet, it is advantageous if the rear suction mouth edge is associated with a front pivot limiting stop. As a result, bending back in the direction of the front Saugmundkante is prevented when retracting the nozzle, which in turn would result in less contact with the carpet. Suitably, the front pivot limiting stop limits the pivoting angle of the rear suction mouth edge in the direction of the front suction mouth edge such that the rear suction mouth edge is in contact with the front pivot limiting stop in an at least approximately vertical position to the support plane.
An embodiment of the invention is shown purely schematically in a drawing and will be described in more detail below. The figure shows a cross section through an inventively designed nozzle 1, which is suitable for example in conjunction with a floor or hand vacuum cleaner for cleaning textile floor coverings and smooth floors. It comprises a
The
The front
The space behind the
When feeding the floor nozzle 1, the rear flexible
When retracting the floor nozzle 1, the rear
