Darüber hinaus sind beispielsweise im Bereich der Zugvollständigkeitsüberwachung auch Verfahren bekannt, bei denen eine allerdings lediglich indirekte Überwachung des Kupplungszustands von Eisenbahnkupplungen erfolgt. Der vorliegenden Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein einfaches und zugleich vielseitig einsetzbares Verfahren zum Ermitteln des Kupplungszustands einer Eisenbahnkupplung mit vertikal beweglichen Kupplungselementen, insbesondere einer Schraubenkupplung, anzugeben.The present invention has for its object to provide a simple and at the same time versatile method for determining the coupling state of a railway coupling with vertically movable coupling elements, in particular a screw coupling.

Vorzugsweise wird hierbei im Falle einer Eisenbahnkupplung in Form einer Schraubenkupplung der Neigungssensor an dem Bügel oder der Lasche der Schraubenkupplung befestigt, da in diesen Fällen eine besonders deutliche und damit unterscheidbare Winkeländerung in den jeweiligen Zuständen messbar ist. Ein solcher vielfältiger beziehungsweise redundanter Ansatz hat den Vorteil, dass die Anzahl der Fehlermeldungen reduziert werden kann, da eine Zugtrennung lediglich dann erkannt wird, wenn diese durch mehrere der verwendeten Verfahren erkannt beziehungsweise bestätigt wird. Andererseits kann erforderlichenfalls aber auch die Erkennungsrate für entsprechende Situationen dadurch erhöht werden, dass eine Zugtrennung bereits dann angenommen wird, wenn wenigstens eines der mehreren verwendeten Verfahren eine Zugtrennung signalisiert.In general, it should be noted that the railway coupling according to the invention and the method according to the invention can in principle also be used in combination with known methods.
