Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a woodworking means according to the preamble of claim 1.
Corresponding means are used in the edge processing of wood. In edge processing, the edge of a wood workpiece is glued or glued with an edge band made of aluminum, wood, plastic or the like. On the one hand there is the problem that the workpiece after application and pressing the edge band can only be further processed when the adhesive is completely cured. On the other hand, damage and contamination on the workpiece should be avoided. Woodworking agents with aqueous alcoholic solutions and, if appropriate, with additional surfactants are used for this purpose, but they have disadvantages in handling.
Object of the present invention is therefore to provide a further woodworking means of the type mentioned, which is suitable for the applications mentioned and is relatively inexpensive to manufacture.
This problem is solved by the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments can be found in the subclaims. Advantageous uses can be found in claims 10 and 11.
According to the invention it is provided that the woodworking agent comprises two different alcohols, the mass fraction is at least 90%. Additives such as water can be dispensed with. Preferably, the woodworking agent according to the invention consists of 100% of the two alcohols and may optionally contain a small proportion of dye.
The woodworking agent according to the invention is particularly suitable for use in edge processing. It can be used as a coolant to accelerate the curing of the adhesive or glue used, with which the edge band is attached to the edge of the wood. For this purpose, an ethyl alcohol is preferably provided as a first alcohol in a proportion of 75 to 95 percent by mass and an isopropyl alcohol in a proportion of 5 to 25 percent by mass as the second alcohol. Possibly. This mixture can be mixed with a dye that dissolves in alcohol.
A particularly advantageous composition is shown in the following table as a first embodiment:
Bevorzugt weist das Kühlmittel dann folgende Zusammensetzung auf:Optionally, a dye may be added in a small amount. The coolant then preferably has the following composition:
In addition to the use of the woodworking agent according to the invention as a coolant, it can also serve as a protective agent which prevents contamination or impurities in the woodworking machine, so as to obtain a clean workpiece. For this purpose, the protective agent to prevent possible damage to the edge band is preferably sprayed directly on this. At the same time it can also be placed on the pressure roller of the woodworking machine, whereby the adhesion of the glue or adhesive is avoided on the pressure roller. In addition, the protective means is absorbed by the edge of the workpiece and can thus be transferred to the sliding blocks of the woodworking machine. The protective agent thus prevents contamination in the woodworking machine, at the same time so the workpiece is protected during processing.
For use as a protective agent, the woodworking agent according to the invention therefore has a first alcohol Ethyl alcohol in a proportion of 75 to 95 percent by mass and a polyethylene glycol in a proportion of 5 to 25 percent by mass as a second alcohol. Possibly. This mixture can be mixed with a dye that dissolves in alcohol.
A particularly advantageous composition is shown in the following table as a third embodiment:
For example, a small amount of dye may be added. Preferably, the protective agent then has the following composition:
