Description

Stand der TechnikState of the art

The invention is based on a packaging for objects which have a proportion of liquid, with a flexible or dimensionally stable bag, which at least partially consists of a plastic film.

Such items include, for example, foods or other foods, plants or parts of plants, and man-made objects. Self-service retailers sell food such as meat, fish, poultry and vegetables in packaged portions. For example, bags of at least partially transparent plastic film or dimensionally stable trays or trays covered with a transparent plastic film serve as packages. The containers have the advantage that the potential buyer can look at the correspondingly packaged goods and can take the important properties of the goods from them imprinted on the packaging. The selection of the goods can be done without the care of one Seller. As a disadvantage of such packaging proves that food such as meat, fish, poultry and some cooked vegetables secrete liquid that leave a negative visual impression when viewing the appropriately packaged goods. Furthermore, the contact of the liquid with the food favors the growth of bacteria in the packaging. To counteract this, absorbent pads and absorbent bodies are known, which are placed under the goods in the packaging. However, these have the disadvantage that they extract more liquid from the food than it would secrete on its own. In addition, excess liquid which is not absorbed when the absorbent pad is saturated remains in contact with the food. In addition, the sight of a liquid-filled absorbent body to the customer is unpleasant when he takes the food after opening the packaging from the latter. Since the liquid emerging from the food is usually not colorless, it is visible in the absorbent pad. From the US-A-6,298,983 a bag of plastic film for storing objects is known, wherein the bag is equipped with a liquid-absorbing strip. This strip is arranged in a separate area of the bag. To separate the area an apertured, additional layer is provided as a cover of the strip. In the manufacture of a bag, a liquid-absorbing strip is placed on the spread plastic film. Subsequently, the cover is placed over the strip and attached to the plastic film so that the strip is sandwiched between the plastic film and the cover. Subsequently, the bag is formed from this arrangement. It is disadvantageous that a separation of the strip from the remaining bag is achieved only by an additional cover, and that the cover affects the view of the inside of the bag and on an item packed in the bag.

From the U.S. Patent 4,861,632 is a multilayer bag for storing and transporting objects known. The front and back of the bag each consist of three layers: an outer layer of a water-impermeable material, a middle layer of a liquid or moisture-absorbing material, and an inner layer which is perforated to allow fluid and moisture to pass through. A disadvantage is such a bag for the packaging of items that are offered for sale in a self-service store. The customer wants to take such items in the selection in inspection. However, this is not possible with the bag because the packaged goods are not visible due to the multilayer structure and the opaque absorbent layer. Another disadvantage of the bag is that additional separation is necessary to separate the absorbent material.

In contrast, the invention has for its object to provide a package in the form of a flexible bag, in which a direct contact between the object to be packaged and the absorbent element or a layer covering the absorbent element of an additional material is avoided.

The packaging according to the invention with the features of claim 1 is characterized in that two separate areas are provided in the package. A first area serves to receive the item to be packaged. A second area serves to receive an absorbent element. The two areas are separated by a separation, which is only partially liquid permeable. The separation can For example, have one or more openings through which liquid can flow from the first region into the second region. By vertically orienting the package with the first region and the article disposed therein upward and the second region with the absorbent element down, the flow of the liquid from the first to the second region is supported. The liquid emerging from the article passes under the action of the weight in the second region. The flow of the liquid in the reverse direction is prevented by the orientation of the package. Even with a horizontal orientation of the package, the flow of liquid from the second is excluded in the first area, since the liquid is bound in the absorbent element. On the other hand, the backflow can be reduced by the fact that the openings provided for the liquid in the separation are smaller than the liquid-impermeable portions.

The bag has the advantage that it can be hung on the end facing away from the second region. This aligns the bag vertically. Thus, the flow of the liquid emerging from the article is supported by the weight force in the direction of the second region. Furthermore, this arrangement of the packaging has the advantage that the goods contained in the packaging can be hung in a self-service store and presented to the customer.

In addition, it is possible to make the separation of a material that allows liquids to pass only in one direction. In this case, although the liquid from the first to the second area but not from the second area in the first area to get back.

The bag is made wholly or partly of plastic, namely plastic film. Parts of the bag may also be made of metal, cardboard, paper or composite materials. The basic component of the plastics are synthetic or semisynthetically produced polymers with organic Groups. It is also possible to use biodegradable plastics, so-called bioplastics or bioplastics. These are produced on the basis of renewable raw materials such as starch, oils, polylactic acid, polyhydroxyl butyric acid or cellulose.

The absorbent element contains fibers or fiber compositions, for example of cellulose, rayon, other naturally occurring fibers or synthetic fibers. The fibers are made into cotton, tissue, paper or fleece. So-called superabsorbents, which are additionally contained in the absorbent element, can increase its ability to store liquid. The absorbent element is advantageously adapted to the shape of the second region or portion of the bag. The larger the volume of the absorbent element, the more liquid it can absorb and store.

The separation consists of several sections of a joint connection between the plastic on the one hand and the remaining bag on the other hand, which may also consist of plastic. The joint connection runs along a straight line. Between two sections with joint connection, a section without joint connection is provided. Liquid can pass through these open sections.

The joint connection is achieved by welding. During welding, the material in question, in this case the plastic is melted. Therefore, only thermoplastics come into question for this process. Welding can be done by hot plate welding, hot gas welding, high frequency welding, radiation welding or friction welding. In contrast, thermosets or elastomers can also be glued. When using the adhesive, care must be taken to ensure that the quality of the packaging article, such as the food.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the separation of an additional separation element, which is firmly connected to the bag. This may be, for example, a piece of plastic film having a plurality of openings, or a piece of material that allows liquid to pass only in one direction. This separation element is fixedly connected to the bag to separate the first and the second area from each other. The separation element may also surround the absorbent element on one or more sides.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the second region is arranged on the edge of the bag. The second region may extend along one or more edges of the bag. The edge or edges may be one or more sides or one or more ends of the bag. It is essential that the second area is not located in the middle of the bag. This ensures that the package can be aligned with the second area at least partially on the downwardly facing side. Such alignment is important to allow the liquid exiting the article to pass from the first to the second region and be received by the bibulous element.

The bag is made entirely of a flexible plastic, namely a plastic film. Such packages are characterized by their low weight and high flexibility in terms of adaptation to the objects to be packaged.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the second area is at least partially with an opaque cover or Coating equipped. This prevents the view into the second area, the absorbent element arranged there and any liquid located there. A negative impression of the potential buyer of the packaging is thereby avoided.

Darüber hinaus hängt die Fähigkeit, Flüssigkeit aufzunehmen und zu speichern vom Material des saugfähigen Elements ab.According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the absorbent element fills the second region of the packaging to more than 80%. Thus, the absorbent element occupies the largest possible space in the second area. The larger the volume of an absorbent element, the more liquid it can absorb. In addition, the ability to pick up and store liquid depends on the material of the absorbent element.

Further advantages and advantageous embodiments of the invention will become apparent from the following description, the drawings and the claims.

FIG. 1 shows a packaging of a flexible bag 1 of plastic film with a first region 2 and a second region 3. Flexible bags are also referred to as bags. The plastic film forms the back and the front of the flexible bag 1. back and Front are welded together at the edges 4, 5, 6 and 7. The welded joint is liquid and airtight. The first area 2 and the second area 3 are delimited by a partition 8 against each other. The separation runs along a straight line. Along this line alternate sections in which the two plastic films which form the front and back of the bag 1 are welded together with sections that are not welded. In the first section, a food 9 is arranged. In the second region, an absorbent element 10 is arranged in the form of a rectangular pad. The non-welded portions of the partition 8 form openings through which liquid emerging from the food 9 can flow from the first area 2 into the second area 3 to be picked up by the absorbent element 10 there. The flow of the liquid from the first to the second region is assisted by the weight force when the packaging, as in FIG. 1 represented, with the first region 2 upwards and the second region 3 is oriented downward.

All features can be essential to the invention both individually and in any desired combination.
