Description

Stand der TechnikState of the art

The invention is based on a packaging for objects which have a proportion of liquid, with a flexible or dimensionally stable container which consists of a liquid-impermeable material.

Such items include, for example, foods or other foods, plants or parts of plants, and man-made objects. Self-service retailers sell food such as meat, fish, poultry and vegetables in packaged portions. As packaging used for example containers of at least partially transparent plastic film or rigid trays or trays, which are covered with a transparent plastic film. The containers have the advantage that the potential buyer can look at the correspondingly packaged goods and can take the important properties of the goods from them imprinted on the packaging. The selection of the goods can be made without the care of a seller. As a disadvantage of such packaging proves that food such as meat, fish, poultry and some cooked vegetables secrete liquid that leave a negative visual impression when viewing the appropriately packaged goods. Furthermore, the contact of the liquid with the food favors the growth of bacteria in the packaging. To counteract this are absorbent pads and absorbent known, which are placed under the goods in the packaging. However, these have the disadvantage that they are limited in their ability to absorb fluid. In addition, excess liquid which is not absorbed when the absorbent pad is saturated remains in contact with the food. In addition, the sight of a liquid-filled absorbent body to the customer is unpleasant when he takes the food after opening the packaging from this. Since the liquid emerging from the food is usually not colorless, it is visible in the absorbent pad.

From the US 6 152 295 A , which is considered to be the closest prior art, a container for storing food is known. The container has a tray on which the food can be placed. The tray is equipped with a support structure with several ribs. In the cavities between the ribs, a liquid absorbing material is arranged. The support structure is provided with a cover having openings. Through the openings, a liquid emerging from the food can enter the cavities between the ribs and be absorbed by the absorbent material. A disadvantage proves that the container is not suitable for producing a vacuum packaging.

The WO 2009/020805 A1 also discloses a tray for a package, especially for a meat package. The tray consists of a top and a bottom. Between the upper and the lower part cavities form, in which liquid absorber are arranged. On the tray, an object to be packaged can be arranged. The liquid emerging from this article can pass through the openings in the cavities of the tray and be absorbed there. However, the tray is also not suitable for use in vacuum packaging.

Creating a vacuum in the package to produce a vacuum package that applies flexible packaging material to the absorbent member and limits the ability of the absorbent member to absorb liquid.

In contrast, the invention has for its object to provide a package in which a direct contact between the object to be packaged and the liquid emerging from it is avoided, and with which a vacuum packaging can be produced.

The packaging according to the invention with the features of claim 1 is characterized in that a container made of a liquid-impermeable material is equipped with a dimensionally stable hollow body. In this case, the dimensionally stable hollow body is in the container. It can, for example a first portion of the container may be provided, which serves to receive the object to be packaged. In this case, a second region of the container serves to receive the dimensionally stable hollow body. The stability of the hollow body with regard to its shape is predetermined such that the hollow body withstands the vacuum necessary for producing a vacuum packaging and does not change its shape or only slightly. Thus, the dimensionally stable hollow body provides for a cavity, which also when generating a negative pressure in the container and the resulting. Applying the flexible packaging material of the container is retained on the object to be packaged and on the hollow body. In the cavity, the fluid emerging from the article also collects under reduced pressure. This is especially true when the container is arranged such that the object is located above the dimensionally stable hollow body. However, the collection of the liquid in the hollow body is also favored when the article and the hollow body are at the same level.

The dimensionally stable hollow body is dimensioned by its volume such that it can absorb the volume of the liquid emerging from an article to be packaged.

The dimensionally stable hollow body has at least one opening through which a liquid can penetrate into the cavity of the hollow body in order to be stored there. The opening may be circular, oval or angular. If several openings are provided, these can all be the same size or different sizes. They can all have the same shape or different shapes.

In the dimensionally stable hollow body, the liquid emerging from the object to be packaged collects. The tendency of the liquid to move into the interior of the hollow body is greater than in the opposite direction. This process is ensured by a suitable arrangement of Packaging supported. He is further favored by the pressure conditions in the packaging. Thereby, the direct contact between the article to be packaged and the leaked from it and collected in the hollow body liquid is prevented.

By vertical alignment of the package with the packaged article above the dimensionally stable hollow body, the flow of a liquid emerging from the object is supported towards the hollow body. The flow of the liquid in the reverse direction is prevented by the orientation of the package.

In the packaging, the effect is further observed that air collects in the dimensionally stable hollow body, which remains after closing in the vacuum packaging despite the generation of a negative pressure. This air migrates from the packaged article receiving area to the hollow body. This effect has the advantage of further reducing the amount of oxygen on the surface of the packaged article and further limiting the growth of bacteria.

The container has the advantage that it can be suspended and thereby aligned vertically in order to support the flow of the liquid emerging from the object of the weight force in the direction of the hollow body. Furthermore, this arrangement of the packaging has the advantage that the goods contained in the packaging can be hung in a self-service store and presented to the customer.

The dimensionally stable hollow body can either be loosely received in the container or attached to the container. Further, the container may be provided with a liquid-permeable partition which separates a first portion receiving the article to be packaged from a second portion receiving the hollow body. The separation ensures that There is always a distance between the article and the hollow body and the article and the hollow body can not come anywhere.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the dimensionally stable hollow body has an elongated shape. It may be, for example, the shape of a circular cylinder or a cuboid. The elongate hollow body extends, for example, along one side of a rectangular package. As an alternative to the oblong shape, the dimensionally stable body can also have the shape of a sphere or an ellipsoid.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the dimensionally stable hollow body made of plastic. It can thus be easily and inexpensively manufactured in any shapes and sizes and has a low weight. It is also possible to use biodegradable plastics, so-called bioplastics or bioplastics. In addition, the hollow body may consist of a naturally occurring material such as bamboo.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the hollow body has at least one structure supporting the hollow body inwardly. The structure prevents the walls of the hollow body from bulging too much inward under the influence of the suction created during the generation of a negative pressure in vacuum packagings. This is especially true at low wall thicknesses of the hollow body. Such small wall thicknesses allow the reduction of manufacturing costs and ensure a low weight. The supporting structure may be, for example, one or more webs in the interior of the hollow body. The webs can connect opposing walls of the hollow body with each other.

The dimensionally stable hollow body has at or near its opening at least one after outside protruding projection on. This prevents the flexible material of the container from contacting the opening when a negative pressure is created in vacuum packaging. When the container is applied to the opening, the opening is at least partially closed. This impairs the penetration of liquid into the hollow body.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the opening in the dimensionally stable hollow body is funnel-shaped, wherein the opening cross-section on the inside of the hollow body is smaller than on the outside of the hollow body. This shape of the opening favors the penetration of liquid into the hollow body and impairs the escape of liquid from the hollow body.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the container is preferably wholly or partly made of plastic, for example plastic film. Parts of the container may also be made of metal, cardboard, paper or composite materials. The basic component of the plastics are synthetic or semisynthetically produced polymers with organic groups. It is also possible to use biodegradable plastics, so-called bioplastics or bioplastics. These are produced on the basis of renewable raw materials such as starch, oils, polylactic acid, polyhydroxyl butyric acid or cellulose.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, at least one absorbent element is arranged in the dimensionally stable hollow body, which consists of a liquid-absorbing, the liquid emerging from the object receiving material. The hollow body offers in its interior sufficient space for at least one absorbent element, so that it does not lose its ability to absorb liquid even at low pressure. The liquid emerging from a packaged article and collected in the hollow body is held in the absorbent element. Regardless of how the packaging is aligned, a flow back of liquid to the packaged item is excluded. Furthermore, the liquid also remains in the absorbent element when the package is opened. It does not come off when opening the packaging.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the absorbent element fibers or fiber compositions, for example, cellulose, rayon, other naturally occurring fibers or synthetic fibers. The fibers are made into cotton, tissue, paper or fleece. So-called superabsorbents, which are additionally contained in the absorbent element, can increase its ability to store liquid. The absorbent element can be adapted to the shape of the dimensionally stable hollow body. The larger the volume of the absorbent element, the more liquid it can absorb and store. The absorbent element can be constructed of several layers. It may also alternatively or cumulatively to the above-mentioned materials have a liquid-absorbing granules.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the container consists of an at least partially flexible bag.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the bag is made entirely of a flexible plastic, such as a plastic film. Such packages are characterized by their low weight and high flexibility in terms of adaptation to the objects to be packaged.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the container has a shell. This is preferably dimensionally stable, so that the shell does not deform when receiving an article to be packaged. The dimensionally stable hollow body may be part of such a dimensionally stable shell be. Shell and hollow body can be executed in one piece in this case. They can both consist of the same dimensionally stable material.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the container is at least partially transparent. In this way, the packaged object is visible from the outside.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the portion of the container containing the dimensionally stable hollow body is at least partially provided with an opaque cover or coating. As a result, the insight into the arranged there absorbent element and any liquid located there is prevented. A negative impression of the potential buyer of the packaging is thereby avoided.

Further advantages and advantageous embodiments of the invention will become apparent from the following description, the drawings and the claims.

Beschreibung des AusführungsbeispielsDescription of the embodiment

FIG. 1 shows a packaging of a container 1 in the form of a flexible bag made of plastic film having a first region 2 and a second region 3. The plastic film forms the back and the front of the container 1. The back and front are at the edges 4, 5, 6 and 7 welded together. The welded joint is liquid and airtight. The first area 2 and the second area 3 are delimited by a partition 8 against each other. The separation runs along a straight line. Along this line alternate sections in which the two plastic films, which form the front and back of the container 1, are welded together, with sections that are not welded. In the first section, a food 9 is arranged. In the second region, a dimensionally stable hollow body 10 in the form of a cylinder is arranged. The dimensionally stable hollow body 10 has the shape of a circular cylinder. It is shown in longitudinal section, so that an arranged in the dimensionally stable hollow body absorbent element 11 can be seen. The non-welded portions of the partition 8 form passages for the liquid, which exits the food 9 and thus can flow from the first area 2 into the second area 3. Through openings 12 in the hollow body 10, the liquid passes to the absorbent element 11 and is held in this. The openings have a circular shape. They are arranged on the side of the hollow body 10 facing the first region. The flow of the liquid from the first to the second region is assisted by the weight force when the packaging, as in FIG. 1 represented, with the first region 2 upwards and the second region 3 is oriented downward.

In FIG. 2 the dimensionally stable hollow body 10 with the circular openings 12 and the absorbent element 11 is shown in perspective.

In FIG. 3 a second embodiment of a dimensionally stable hollow body 13 is shown. It differs from the first embodiment according to FIG. 2 by the shape of the opening 14. In the second embodiment, an elongated opening 14 is provided which extends almost over the entire length of the hollow body 10. The opening 14 has a rectangular shape and is therefore formed as a slot. The hollow body 13 may in a container according to FIG. 1 to be ordered.

In FIG. 4 a third embodiment of a dimensionally stable hollow body 15 is shown. The hollow body 15 has an elongated cuboid shape and an elongated opening 16. The opening 16 is therefore formed as in the hollow body 13 according to the second embodiment as a slot. In the hollow body 15, an absorbent element 17 is arranged, which also has a cuboid shape. The hollow body 15 may in a container according to FIG. 1 to be ordered.

All features may be essential to the invention both individually and in any combination.
