Abstract

Claims (1)

  1. Packaging machine with a conveyor belt (1), a frame (2) and a vacuum chamber (4), wherein the vacuum chamber (4) has a cover (5) that comprises two side surfaces and is liftable by a vertical translational movement from a lowered position, in which the vacuum chamber (4) is closed, into a raised position in which the vacuum chamber (4) is open, wherein the packaging machine is configured as a chamber belt machine, in which the cover (5) together with a part of the conveyor belt (1) constitutes the vacuum chamber (4), characterized in that the cover (5) can pivot in the raised position, and in that the cover (5) is liftable and lowerable with the aid of a lifting device (6), wherein the lifting device (6) is a linear guide that is mounted on the frame (2) on both sides of the conveyor belt (1), wherein movable parts of the linear guide effecting the vertical lifting movement of the cover (5) are connected with each other by a cross member (8),
    wherein a joint (7) is mounted on the cross member (8), around which the cover (5) is pivotable,
    wherein the joint (7) is centrally mounted on the cross member (8), and the cover (5) is connected with the joint (7) in such a manner that the rotational axis of the joint (7) extends through the center of mass of the cover (5) and in parallel to both lower edges of the side surfaces of the cover (5).
