Definitions

  • the invention relates to a magazine container for storing tools such as drills, milling cutters or the like, with a receiving body in which around a main axis distributed around a plurality of radially oriented with respect to the main axis, an insertion of tools enabling tool holders are formed, which with respect to the main axis radially having outside facing and in the circumferential direction of the main axis mutually offset outer openings, and having a rotatably mounted on the receiving body around the main axis cover having a covering the outer openings covering wall, which is penetrated by an access opening, by turning the cover selectively opposite one each the outer openings is positionable to allow removal or insertion of a tool.
  • One from the EP 0 349 951 known magazine container of this type includes a cylindrical receiving body with axially and radially extending tool holders, in each of which a tool for storage purposes can be inserted.
  • the radially aligned tool holders are open to the radially oriented lateral surface of the receiving body, with their mouths are covered by an annular cover wall of a rotatably attached to the front side of the receiving body cover. In this way are the inserted tools prevented from falling out.
  • the cover wall is penetrated by an access opening which is positioned by turning the cover in alignment with respect to the insertion openings of the tool holders to remove the desired tool.
  • the tool holders consist of tubes of constant diameter, which extend to just before the cover wall of the cover.
  • the known magazine container is particularly suitable for accommodating tools with consistently slim shape as is the case for example with drill bits and bits.
  • An accommodation of milling cutters or similar tools, which adjoins a thin mounting shank a relatively wide, provided with cutting work section, is only possible if the pick-up tubes have a total tuned to the dimensions of the working section diameter. This would have, since the largest tool to be taken into account must be taken into account, relatively large diameter of the tool holders result and, accordingly, a greatly reduced recording capacity.
  • the tool holders are formed in a centrally arranged core portion of the receiving body, wherein its outer openings open towards the periphery of the core portion radially outwardly of the core portion is preceded by a larger in size antechamber, the bottom of a radially over the Core portion projecting and spaced to the outer openings bottom wall of the receiving body is limited, and that the cover extends radially beyond the core portion and thereby covers all the antechambers, except in the region of the access opening, above the bottom wall and in the core portion radially outwardly opposite region.
  • Such a designed magazine container offers the possibility tillstekken tools with their serving for clamping in a machine clamping shaft in the tool holders, so that their possibly a larger diameter than the clamping shaft having, usually provided with cutting work sections in the core section radially upstream vestibule come to lie, which is due to its relative to the tool holders larger cross section in a position to accommodate even relatively bulky work sections. Since the vestibules are located radially further outside than the tool holders, there is already a geometrically greater space for accommodating the working sections of tools, which is optimally utilized here, especially since the tools housed in the tool holders have a fan-like structured arrangement spreading out towards the outside.
  • the tool holders need only be matched to the usually relatively thin cross sections of the Einspannmachiningfte of tools, a relatively high number and density of tool holders can be realized within the core portion around the main axis without being affected by possibly larger diameter having working sections of the tools to be, which are housed in the radially outer vestibules. It is also easily possible to store tools whose sections lying in the anterooms strong have different diameter.
  • the cover can be rotated about the suitably passing through the center of the core portion main axis to place the access opening in the area of that vestibule in which a tool to be removed is arranged or in which a previously removed tool to be used again.
  • the remote from the access opening vestibules are shielded by the bottom wall of the receiving body and by the cover of the cover access safe.
  • the antechambers are formed by directly adjoining longitudinal sections of a container interior, which is disposed radially outwardly of the core section, which extends in a circular arc around the core section uninterruptedly and to which the individual outer openings open.
  • this increases the space available in the individual anterooms and, on the other hand, facilitates access to the antechambers selected by appropriate positioning of the access opening for removal of a tool.
  • the production of such a design is more cost-effective than the provision of measures required to create mutually separated vestibules.
  • the arcuate container interior can in principle extend over 360 °. But he can also, especially in one Area in which the access opening is positioned when not in use, be interrupted and there, for example, have a subdivision body, which separates the facing end portions of an extension of less than 360 ° having container interior from each other and possibly also closes.
  • the cover is rotatable in a neutral position in which the access opening is assigned to any vestibule. In this neutral position then all the vestibules are covered by the cover and the tools housed therein shielded to the environment.
  • the receiving body contains in addition to the tool holders a storage compartment for storage of small parts such. Screws or dowels.
  • This storage compartment is closed by a removable or swing-away closure body in a manner that allows opening as required.
  • the arrangement is selected in particular such that the closure body is covered by the cover hood when the access opening is located in the region of an anteroom and is not accessible.
  • the cover can be twisted into a storage compartment position in which the access opening occupies a position in the closure body, so that its handling for opening and closing the storage compartment is possible.
  • the storage compartment is expediently formed by a storage container, which is arranged radially next to the core section and located below the cover hood, which simultaneously can serve as a subdivision body for the arcuate container interior, if this has an angular extent of less than 360 °.
  • the access opening is located partly in the top wall section opposite the bottom wall of the receiving body and partly in the radially outer wall section of the cover wall of the covering hood, wherein there is no subdivision. It is then possible to access the respectively selected vestibule from both radially outside and from above and in the area between them.
  • the aforementioned design offers the advantageous possibility of disposing the detachable or pivotable closure body on the upper side of the storage compartment opposite the bottom wall of the storage compartment in an optimally accessible manner, without problems due to the section of the access opening formed in the upper wall section of the cover wall of the cover hood is accessible when the cover has been turned into the storage compartment position.
  • the core section is in particular of columnar design, wherein it projects upwards from the bottom wall lying below.
  • the outer openings of the tool holders are in this case expediently on the radially outwardly oriented lateral surface of the core portion.
  • the cover itself is preferably on the upwardly projecting upper end face of the core portion so as to cover not only the bottom wall but also the core portion.
  • the tool receptacles which are preferably designed as plug-in receptacles, can be defined by a plurality of holding brackets arranged alternately on the upper side and on the underside, which are expediently offset relative to one another in the longitudinal direction of the tool receptacles, which simplifies removal from the mold in the production of pointed casting.
  • the tool holders are formed and adapted to the male portions of the tools that the respectively inserted tool is held slightly clamped without the involvement of the cover, so that a certain axial fixation takes place, the uncontrolled movements of the tools along the tool holders prevented and yet at Demand a withdrawal of the tools allowed without much effort.
  • annular projection is formed, whose radial distance from the main axis is chosen so that it comes to lie in the region of the tool holders and the clamping surfaces on its underside comprising, against the uncovered by the tool holders sections of the inserted tools can press to clamp the tools with opposite, ie upwardly oriented support surfaces of the core portion.
  • An axially immovable clamping of the recorded tools is particularly advantageous, because thereby even when vibrations of the magazine container a migration of the recorded tools radially outward and in contact with the cover wall is prevented. The latter could lead due to sharp cutting on the tools that the cover is damaged and / or the cover jammed with respect to the tools.
  • the tool holders have below each other at the same level lower support surfaces, which arranged below the cover, facing each other also at the same level and facing downward clamping surfaces is.
  • the tools are thus each clamped between an opposing pair of surfaces consisting of a lower support surface and a clamping surface.
  • a clamping surface is missing, for example by forming a sufficiently large recess, or is a substitute a holding surface is present whose distance from the lower support surfaces is greater than that of the clamping surfaces, so that the tools sitting in the selected tool holder tools can be pulled out with little or no effort.
  • clamping surfaces are recessed and in particular concave, results from the interaction with the inserted tools when turning the cover a locking function. This is associated with the advantage that the access opening can always be positioned in a precisely aligned manner in the respectively selected vestibule.
  • the cover is biased with respect to the core portion in its central region in the axial direction of the main axis.
  • the bias takes place in particular in the central region, preferably under elastic deformation of the cover and expediently using a prestressing acting bayonet closure device. In this way, a uniform transfer of the clamping forces on the tools is possible.
  • the pretensioned in the central region cover expediently slidably with the downwardly projecting outer edge of its cover wall on the bottom wall of the cover body. By biasing a certain stiffness is achieved here, which counteracts an uncontrolled rotation of the cover.
  • the downwardly projecting edge of the cover also contributes to the rotary mounting of the cover with respect to the receiving body by this edge dips into a centering and rotational bearing effective depression of the bottom wall, which is preferably formed as extending in the circumferential direction of the bottom wall guide groove.

  • the annular projection 62 forms with its downwardly facing edge surface of a plurality of clamping surfaces 63, which are recessed and in particular concave and which are distributed in a grid around the main axis 13, which corresponds to the distribution grid of the tool holders 27. If the cover 12 is rotated in the neutral position, each tool holder 27 is located in the region of the outer open area 59 above one of the clamping surfaces 63 against.
  • the mutual distance between the lower support surface 54 and the clamping surface 63 extending beyond it is slightly smaller than the diameter of the clamping shaft 3 when the tool 2 is not inserted. Therefore, the inserted tool becomes in the region of its clamping shaft 3 between the lower support surface 54 and the clamping surface 63 clamped axially immovable. • the counterforce applied by the cover 12 results from the fact that the cover 12 is supported by the downwardly projecting outer edge 73 of its cover wall 34 on the bottom wall 16. Due to the flexibility of the existing in particular of a thin plastic material cover 12 experiences the cover 12 by the bias a certain elastic deformation.
  • the edge 73 expediently engages in the groove-like recess 17 and is supported therein.
  • the groove-like depression 73 acts as a guide groove for centering and pivoting the cover 12.
  • the cover 12 may, however, also be rotatably mounted on the shaft of the closure part 35 passing through the first passage opening 64.

As a result, the clamping surfaces 63 each temporarily out of engagement with the tools 2, to then apply the next tool in the series. Due to the expediently existing recessed design, the clamping surfaces 63 act simultaneously as latching means which fix the cover 12 releasably latching in the various rotational positions by the interaction with the tools 2. This provides a further level of security against unwanted twisting of the cover 12 with respect to the receiving body. 5
  • the biasing means formed for example by a bayonet catcher 36 are designed so that they can be temporarily detached to that tool 2, which is located in the access opening 43, without risk of injury with little effort to pull out of the tool holder 27 can , By such a temporary release of the bias voltage, if necessary, the rotation process 44 can be facilitated.
  • the tool 2 selected by positioning the access opening 43 can be easily removed even without releasing the biasing means. This is due to the fact that the cover 12 is designed such that it exerts less or no clamping force with respect to a tool 2 currently assigned to the access opening 43, compared with the clamping force exerted on the other tools 2. The respectively selected tool 2 is thus automatically released for removal, without the need for actuation of the biasing means.
  • the lower support surfaces 54 of all tool holders 27 are arranged lying in the axial direction of the main axis 13 at the same height in the embodiment. If one assumes that the clamping shanks 3 of all the tools 2 to be stored in one and the same magazine container 1 have the same diameter, this leads to the fact that the upper surface sections associated with the outer open regions 59 also have the same diameter Clamping shanks 3 are at the same height.

  • the access opening 43 for removing a tool 2 is positioned in the region of an antechamber 38 - in particular under position specification of the latching interaction between the concave clamping surfaces 63 and the clamping shafts 3 - the recess 76 comes over the outer open area 59 of the tool 2 located within the access opening 43 to lie.
  • the degree of spacing between the lower contour line 75 and the upper contour line 77 is chosen so large that the cover 12 here no clamping function with respect to the selected tool 2 exerts - it is preferably no contact - and this can therefore be easily pulled out.
  • the height distance between the contour lines 75, 77 could also be set such that the upper edge surface of the recess 76 acts as a holding surface, which abuts on the tool 2, but with significantly lower bias than is the case with the clamping surfaces 63, so that the clamping action is greatly reduced and in turn the tool 2 can be pulled out with little effort or even plugged in again.
  • the clamping surfaces 63 are not necessarily designed as edge surfaces of depressions. They could also be formed directly by a rectilinearly contoured edge region of an annular projection 62, if no special value is placed on a latching function.
  • the non-clamping of the currently selected tool 2 could be caused instead of a recess 76 by a simple interruption of the annular projection 62.
  • a recess pattern 78 may be formed in the outer surface of the cover 12, which facilitates the gripping of the cover 12 for introducing the torque.
  • retaining tabs 79 can be formed on the receiving body 5, which serve to fix an inserted production formation carrier.
  • cover 12 is formed transparent, the stored tools 2 and any product information from the outside are always clearly visible.
  • the width of the access opening 43 is not greater than the width of each vestibule 38, the risk of injury when removing a required tool 2 is minimized.
