Definitions
- the present invention relates to a treatment device and a method for treating an open bag, in particular filled with a bulk material, wherein the bag is filled in particular with a pulverulent or powdery dusty product and is closed at a closing station.
- Open sacks are often made of plastic film that protects the bag contents from moisture.
- building materials such as cement are increasingly being filled into open sacks made of plastic film. These offer the considerable advantage that they do not usually have to be protected from rain on the construction site.
- air channels are provided in the bag wall, through which part of the still contained air escapes at the applied pressing pressure. But through these channels not only air can escape from the interior of the bag to the outside, but in unfavorable cases it can also happen that moisture from the outside enters the bag, which can spoil the product. In addition, product can also escape.
- a method for filling open sacks with powdery material has become known, after which the sack is first shaped and a first, lower end is closed. After filling and before closing the bag, a suction device is inserted at the top of a side end of the bag into the interior of the bag and there is sucked out excess air from the bag. In addition, a traveling cleaning device along the The top opening of the bag is reciprocated from one side to the other side to clean the inner top edge of the bag with an air jet during reciprocation with the cleaning device, thereby removing particles.
- a disadvantage of this known state of the art is the considerable expense with the suction device dipping into the bag and the additional cleaning device. Both the suction device and the cleaning device must be moved to the bag in each case. In addition, the cleaning device still has to be automatically moved back and forth along the upper edge.
- the object of the present invention to provide a treatment device and a closure station, as well as a method for treating a filled open bag, thus enabling effective venting and reliable closing of a filled open bag.
- the effort should be less than in the known state of the art.
- a packing machine according to the invention is the subject of claim 12.
- the inventive Method is the subject of claim 13.
- Preferred developments of the invention are the subject of the respective subclaims. Further advantageous features and embodiments of the invention are illustrated in the embodiment.

- the suction device of the treatment device dips into the head space and in particular only into the headspace of the bag above the product level or filling material level, an effective and rapid suction is made possible, the suction of bottled product being reliably prevented.
- the treatment device allows a drastic reduction of the residual air remaining in the filled bag, wherein the residual air in the bag is reduced in particular such that it is possible to dispense with a downstream pressing section.
- the air volume discharged from the head space of the filled bag preferably corresponds approximately to the residual air volume typically pressed out in a press section, so that a separate pressing of the bags can be dispensed with.
- the palletizing capability of the bags treated according to the invention increases.
- the treatment device prefferably be used in a packing machine which produces open sacks from a continuous film web and then fills these open sacks with the bulk material before they are treated with the treatment device according to the invention, whereupon the open sacks are replaced by a sack Welding process are sealed.

- a total of at least four suckers are provided, of which two are arranged opposite each other.
- the suction cups allow a defined suction of the bag wall in a central area, while at the same time the clamping units hold the bag.
- the two clamping units of one or each clamping strip and the suction unit of the clamping strip are preferably coupled to one another in a movement-coupled manner.
- the coupling of the movement can e.g. take place via a pivot lever, so that a deflection of the movement takes place.
- the two clamping units of a clamping bar move away from each other along their connecting line and when the vacuum units moved away from the bag, move the two clamping units of a terminal strip along its connecting line to each other.
- bag material is released in order to release an opening in the bag, through which the immersion unit can subsequently dip from above into the bag.
- the clamping units may be simultaneously moved independently inwardly toward the nipple unit to allow controlled opening of the sack in a central area.
- the common treatment device or the suction device of the treatment device can be introduced.
- the defined opening and the suction device are preferably adapted to each other in terms of size.
- the suction units After immersing the immersion unit, the suction units are moved back to the bag in both terminal strips, which at the same time drive apart the clamping units of each terminal strip again.
- the bag wall is applied to the immersion unit and closes the upper bag opening tight. This ensures that the suction only sucks air from the headspace of the bag and not about air from the outside, which gets into the bag inside via leaks.
- a support device which supports the bag at least in the treatment position.
- the support means may support the bag from below and / or from the side.
- the support device raises the bag during the aspiration of the head air located above the product level in order to facilitate the suction process and to keep the vacuum necessary for suction low. As a result, the suction of product particles is effectively avoided.
- the support means may for example be designed as a particular height-adjustable vibrating table or the like and not only support the bag, but also promote the venting of the bag by a vibration movement.
- a supporting device formed by a conveyor belt is also preferred, which removes the bag after the suction and optionally closed the bag.
