Definitions
- the invention relates to a suction device for a hazardous materials workstation for aspirating, in particular health-endangering and / or explosive substances with an interior housing having a rear wall, two opposing side walls, a ceiling element and an access opening, with an exhaust means for sucking the substances from the interior, with a working area in the interior, and with a suction connection.
- Such a suction device is as a deduction from the DE 103 38 287 B4 known, another suction device is from the DE 102 005 047 194 known.
- This has the disadvantage that when dealing with the materials in the work area of the fume cupboard these distribute throughout the interior, which is why a very strong suction power is necessary to suck the substances sufficiently from the interior can. Due to the large volume of the interior there is a risk that the substances can not be removed to a sufficient extent from the interior and thus can lead to a burden on the operator. Especially when dealing with hazardous substances there is an increased risk that a sufficient extraction of hazardous substances from the interior to protect the operating personnel from damage to health can not be guaranteed.
- the problem underlying the invention is to provide a device of the type mentioned, so that a more effective removal of pollutants from the interior, in particular to meet the stricter EU standards, guaranteed, the device must be used in many ways and the operation too a comparatively low energy and / or cost and a lower noise pollution should result.
- the problem underlying the invention is achieved by a connectable to the suction, absorbent and replaceable functional element.
- the functional element located in the interior can be connected to the suction connection by means of the extraction connection arranged on the extraction booth, whereby the substances are directly and directly sucked out of the working area.
- the extraction connection arranged on the extraction booth
- the substances are directly and directly sucked out of the working area.
- a large part of the substances is already sucked off in the immediate vicinity of the source for the substances entering the interior.
- the burden of the entire interior with the substances is significantly reduced and thus a risk to operating personnel is significantly reduced.
- the device according to the invention is at the same time very versatile and can be used for a very wide variety of purposes.
- the deduction cabin can be adapted to a wide variety of requirements by selecting a suitable functional element.
- the extraction capacity with the functional element used corresponds to the extraction capacity of the extraction booth without an inserted functional element, whereby in the latter case the extraction can be effected directly by means of the suction connection.
- the exhaust air means serves both for the suction of gaseous fluids or the substances from the entire interior of the device as well as for targeted suction of the substances from the work area by means of AbsauganBankes.
- the housing has a suction distributor.
- this suction manifold By means of this suction manifold different suction streams are guided in a defined manner and directed to the exhaust air.
- the arrangement of the suction manifold on the housing allows on the one hand an effective and low production cost, and on the other hand, the possibility to integrate the suction manifold in the housing so that it takes up little space and remains hidden after installation for the operator. This also achieves an aesthetically pleasing overall impression.
- the suction distributor is designed as a, in particular double-walled, rear wall of the housing.
- the rear wall is assigned an additional function, which is an effective use of the available space.
- the rear wall has a large area, which allows a sufficiently large dimensions of the Absaugverteilers.
- the rear wall preferably has at least one suction connection on a side facing the working area.
- the suction can be provided at any suitable location of the rear wall.
- the suction connection goes directly into the suction manifold, which cooperates with the exhaust air means and thus dissipates the withdrawal stream on the shortest route from the work area and the fume cupboard.
- the suction port is formed as an opening, a slot, a flange and / or a coupling.
- a suitably designed suction connection is provided.
- several, in particular horizontally and superimposed, slots are provided as Absaugan let in the rear wall. This allows on the one hand the suction of the substances from the entire interior of the device and on the other hand, the use of functional elements that are connectable at different heights with one or more suction connections.
- the slots are formed over the entire width of the rear wall. This leads on the one hand to a more effective extraction of the substances from the entire interior and on the other hand allows a horizontally displaceable positioning of the functional element.
- the functional element can be used as a modular module in the interior.
- the same fume cupboard can be used for different purposes by means of exchangeable functional elements.
- a plurality of functional elements can be used simultaneously and / or optionally in the interior.
- the interior of the fume cupboard can be equipped according to the individual needs.
- the combination of several functional elements is greatly facilitated by the modular or modular usability in the interior.
- the connection of the functional element to the suction connection by the insertion of the functional element in the interior is automatically produced. Thus, no further manipulations are necessary for the production of the connection between the functional element and the suction connection except for the insertion of the functional element. This leads to a simplified operability and favors a replacement of the functional element.
- At least one functional element of a plurality of functional elements simultaneously inserted into the interior of the suction connection can optionally be connected to the suction connection. If it is not necessary because of the desired application of the device that all functional elements inserted into the interior are connected to a suction, it is thus, in particular by manual selection, possible to connect one or more selected functional elements to the suction. As a result, the exhaust power available by means of the exhaust air is used specifically and thus particularly effective.
- a plurality of functional elements used simultaneously in the interior interact with each other for sucking the substances from the work area.
- the functional elements are connected to each other via exhaust ducts, whereby the substances from the working areas of all inserted functional elements can be sucked.
- the withdrawal streams of the individual functional elements are combined to form a common withdrawal stream and fed to the exhaust air means by means of a suction connection.
- the functional element can be fixed in a fixed manner by insertion into the housing by means of locking means.

Therefore, there is already an increased demand for a significantly improved pollutant retention capacity, with an improved pollutant retention capacity to be ensured in the future also due to stricter standards and / or regulations.
At the same time there is also an increased demand for the most varied and flexible use of a fume cupboard for a variety of purposes for the sake of cost minimization.
The problem underlying the invention is to provide a device of the type mentioned, so that a more effective removal of pollutants from the interior, in particular to meet the stricter EU standards, guaranteed, the device must be used in many ways and the operation too a comparatively low energy and / or cost and a lower noise pollution should result.
The problem underlying the invention is achieved by a connectable to the suction, absorbent and replaceable functional element.
In this case, it is advantageous that the functional element located in the interior can be connected to the suction connection by means of the extraction connection arranged on the extraction booth, whereby the substances are directly and directly sucked out of the working area. Thus, a large part of the substances is already sucked off in the immediate vicinity of the source for the substances entering the interior. This effectively prevents the substances from spreading throughout the interior. This means that the burden of the entire interior with the substances is significantly reduced and thus a risk to operating personnel is significantly reduced. Due to exchangeable functional elements, the device according to the invention is at the same time very versatile and can be used for a very wide variety of purposes. Thus, the deduction cabin can be adapted to a wide variety of requirements by selecting a suitable functional element. Since the majority of the substances from the immediate work area is sucked in the vicinity of the source of the substances entering the interior, the remaining substances in the interior of the fume cupboard can be extracted with a comparatively low suction power. This results in a lower noise pollution and a lower energy and cost. Due to the directional extraction, a comparatively low flow rate is necessary, whereby the comfort in the work area is significantly improved. In addition, targeted removal of substances from the work area can result in significantly reduced contamination even in areas where work is not carried out. The extraction capacity with the functional element used corresponds to the extraction capacity of the extraction booth without an inserted functional element, whereby in the latter case the extraction can be effected directly by means of the suction connection.
According to a development of the suction connection acts together with the exhaust air. Thus, the exhaust air means serves both for the suction of gaseous fluids or the substances from the entire interior of the device as well as for targeted suction of the substances from the work area by means of Absauganschlusses. This results in a reduced manufacturing and assembly costs and a simplified operation. Preferably, the housing has a suction distributor. By means of this suction manifold different suction streams are guided in a defined manner and directed to the exhaust air. The arrangement of the suction manifold on the housing allows on the one hand an effective and low production cost, and on the other hand, the possibility to integrate the suction manifold in the housing so that it takes up little space and remains hidden after installation for the operator. This also achieves an aesthetically pleasing overall impression.
In a further embodiment, the suction distributor is designed as a, in particular double-walled, rear wall of the housing. Thus, the rear wall is assigned an additional function, which is an effective use of the available space. In addition, the rear wall has a large area, which allows a sufficiently large dimensions of the Absaugverteilers. The rear wall preferably has at least one suction connection on a side facing the working area. Here, the suction can be provided at any suitable location of the rear wall. Furthermore, thus the suction connection goes directly into the suction manifold, which cooperates with the exhaust air means and thus dissipates the withdrawal stream on the shortest route from the work area and the fume cupboard.
According to a further embodiment, the suction port is formed as an opening, a slot, a flange and / or a coupling. Thus, depending on the desired application and the functional element to be used, a suitably designed suction connection is provided. Preferably, several, in particular horizontally and superimposed, slots are provided as Absauganschlüsse in the rear wall. This allows on the one hand the suction of the substances from the entire interior of the device and on the other hand, the use of functional elements that are connectable at different heights with one or more suction connections. According to a further embodiment, the slots are formed over the entire width of the rear wall. This leads on the one hand to a more effective extraction of the substances from the entire interior and on the other hand allows a horizontally displaceable positioning of the functional element.
According to a further development, the functional element can be used as a modular module in the interior. Thus, there is a possibility that the same fume cupboard can be used for different purposes by means of exchangeable functional elements. Preferably, a plurality of functional elements can be used simultaneously and / or optionally in the interior. Accordingly, the interior of the fume cupboard can be equipped according to the individual needs. Here, the combination of several functional elements is greatly facilitated by the modular or modular usability in the interior. According to a further development, the connection of the functional element to the suction connection by the insertion of the functional element in the interior is automatically produced. Thus, no further manipulations are necessary for the production of the connection between the functional element and the suction connection except for the insertion of the functional element. This leads to a simplified operability and favors a replacement of the functional element.
According to another embodiment, at least one functional element of a plurality of functional elements simultaneously inserted into the interior of the suction connection can optionally be connected to the suction connection. Preferably, a plurality of functional elements used simultaneously in the interior interact with each other for sucking the substances from the work area. Here, the functional elements are connected to each other via exhaust ducts, whereby the substances from the working areas of all inserted functional elements can be sucked. In this case, the withdrawal streams of the individual functional elements are combined to form a common withdrawal stream and fed to the exhaust air means by means of a suction connection. According to a further development, the functional element can be fixed in a fixed manner by insertion into the housing by means of locking means. Thus, the position and position of the functional element can be clearly defined by means of the locking means within the housing and an unintentional change in position of the functional element is effectively avoided. The locking means may be formed, for example, as suitable and known per se screw or plug connections. Preferably, for the insertion of the functional element in the interior, in particular for predetermining the position in the work area, positioning means are provided. Thus, it is given at which points the functional element is to be positioned within the interior space. This ensures that a correct connection between the functional element and the suction is made. Furthermore, this promotes a modular or modular combination of several functional elements in the interior, since by means of the positioning means an optimal space utilization of Interior is ensured due to a predetermined arrangement of the functional elements to each other.
In a further embodiment, the functional element has at least one opening for sucking off the substances from the working area. By means of the opening, the substances released in the immediate vicinity of the source of the released substances from the work area are sucked into the functional element. According to a development, the functional element has at least one double bottom. Here, the double bottom serves as a kind of extraction channel for sucking the substances from the work area. In addition to a base of the functional element, other components, for example side walls, of the functional element may be additionally double-walled and serve as a drainage channel and preferably be provided with openings for extracting substances from the working area. Preferably, openings for sucking off the substances from the working area are provided in a storage surface of the double bottom. These openings may be provided in the form of holes and / or slots. By means of the openings in the storage area of the double bottom, the substances are sucked out of the work area in a simple and effective manner.
According to another embodiment, a drawer for removing trapped solid and / or liquid substances in the double bottom is arranged. Thus, collected liquid and / or solids can be disposed of in a simple manner and cleaning is greatly simplified. Preferably, the drawer has openings for the suction of the substances, whereby released substances are extracted both from the work area and from the drawer itself.
According to another embodiment, the double bottom for sucking the substances from the work area with the suction in the back wall connectable. Thus, the substances are conducted in an effective manner from the work area in the double bottom and above this by means of the suction connection to the exhaust air. The provision of a double bottom leads on the one hand to the possibility of effective extraction of the substances from the work area and on the other hand to a aesthetically pleasing overall construction. Furthermore, the double bottom can be used for collecting liquids and / or other solid substances, for example, when it comes to spills when handling the liquid and / or solid substances and / or the substances, for example, from their containers overflow.
According to a development, the functional element is designed as a table top, a waste collection point, a shelf, a cabinet, a weighing station, a storage surface and / or a, in particular extendable, shelf table. In this case, the functional elements, such as, for example, the weighing station, can be equipped with vibration-damping elements. Thus arise depending on Choice of one or more functional elements the most diverse uses. According to another embodiment, the functional element is designed as a shelf and the shelf has a notch for venting in the back wall. Thus, it is excluded that forms a dead zone in a transition region between the shelf and the rear wall, from which substances are not sucked or in an insufficient extent. According to another embodiment, the functional element is designed as a decanting and / or filling station. Just by the decanting and / or filling of, for example, hazardous substances or pollutants for the operating personnel by the escaping amounts of substance a significant health hazard. However, since according to the device according to the invention a significant proportion of the exiting substances is already sucked out of the work area, thus the risk of a health hazard is considerably reduced. Preferably, the transfer and / or filling station is at least partially double-walled. Furthermore, a double-walled hopper may be provided for transferring and / or filling. By means of suitable openings of the working area facing elements is thus ensured that the majority of the exiting substances is already sucked out of the immediate work area. Thus, by means of the double-walled funnel, for example, a cloud of pollutants which would escape from the filling container by displacement during transfer, are already aspirated in the interior before distribution.
The functional element preferably has a complementary connection which matches the suction connection. This ensures that no leaks occur during the transition of the discharge stream from the functional element in the suction and the substances to be sucked again enter the workspace and / or interior. According to a further embodiment, the exhaust air means is arranged in the ceiling element. Thus, the exhaust air means takes up no space in the interior of the housing, making it more effective, for example, for the onset of functional elements, can be used. The ceiling element preferably has a suction opening, in particular above the working area. As a result, a particularly effective extraction of the substances from the interior is achieved. In particular, substances that are lighter than air are extracted by means of a suction in the ceiling element very effectively from the interior.
According to a further embodiment, the dimensions of the, in particular non-closable, access opening in height correspond to the distance from the floor to the ceiling element and preferably in the width of the distance between the two side walls. This results in a very generous access opening, which greatly facilitates the usability. This includes a simple access of the interior for the operator as well as the simple and barrier-free insertion or removal of the functional element in or out of the interior of the housing. In an alternative embodiment, the access opening may be by means of a door or a sash closed. In this case, the door or the sash can serve as a protection device, which effectively prevent leakage of, for example, larger amounts of material due to incorrect operation, explosion and / or deflagration from the fume cupboard.
According to another embodiment, a diaphragm is mounted in the upper region of the access opening. This prevents substances from flowing out of the interior to the outside through a swirling which possibly forms in the upper region of the interior. Preferably, a fan bar and / or a support jet means, in particular for deflecting a fluid flow in the direction of the interior of the housing, is provided in the upper region of the access opening. By means of a fan bar and / or a support jet means, an air curtain can be generated, which prevents leakage of the substances from the interior. According to a further embodiment, fan blades and / or support blasting means are provided in the region of the side walls of the housing, in particular for deflecting a fluid flow in the direction of the interior of the housing. As a result, leakage of the substances from the interior in the region of the side walls, for example, due to turbulence occurring, particularly effectively prevented. The function of the fan blades and / or support blasting agent is supported via the extraction of the released substances by means of the functional element connected to the suction connection, so that it is possible to dispense with an otherwise additionally required supporting beam, for example in parapet height. The displacement air emerging from the fan blade or the support jet means may have a laminar or turbulent flow for displacing the air into the interior space. Preferably, the diaphragm and at least one fan blade and / or a support jet means are combined. As a result, the outflow velocity of the blower bar or the support blasting medium can be reduced to a minimum, in particular below the usual values of 1.6 m / s. This leads to a lower noise level and to increased comfort. Due to the diaphragm vortex formations, backflow and the discharge of substances from the interior in the upper region of the access opening effectively prevented.
A holding means arranged in the upper region of the access opening, for example horizontally above the access opening, can be provided for holding a protective shield. The retaining means may be in the form of a tube, a rail or a bar, and is preferably fixed to the hood by means of suitable spacing means spaced therefrom. The holding means may also be formed as a fan bar or a support beam means. The protective shield, as a kind of body shield, can protect the body of the operator from direct contact with the materials or from explosion or deflagration. The shield can be arranged on the holding means such that the shield is laterally displaceable.
Alternatively or in addition to the use of fan blades and / or support blasting means suitably shaped, in particular spaced from the hood and attached thereto, profiles may be provided in the region of the access opening to the formation of air turbulence in the access opening and / or the discharge of free materials to be removed from the fume cupboard.
Furthermore, flexible extraction arms can be provided. These extraction arms can be connected to suction connections in the rear wall and / or on the ceiling element and placed directly above the currently used working area. If the extraction arms are not connected to the extraction connections provided, for example, specifically for the extraction arms, the extraction connections can be closed with covers.
Individual or all components of the device according to the invention can be designed such explosion-proof that an additional hazard, for example, the operator due to an explosion and / or deflagration is reduced.
Of particular advantage is the use of the device according to the invention as a fume cupboard and / or as a hazardous material workplace for handling gaseous, liquid and / or solid substances, especially in laboratories and / or scientific teaching rooms at schools and / or universities.
