- Each of the serrations comprises a prismatic body 17 having, on the sides of it, respective wedge-shaped protuberances 19 extending asymmetrically, that is to say, one upwards and the other downwards, so that either one or the other cuts vertically into the inside surface of the transversal sections 3a, 4a, irrespective of which way the plate 16 is fitted into the groove C1 - C2, meaning that the position of the plate 16 in the grooves C1 - C2 is reversible (and thus suitable for both right- and left-hand opening doors and windows).
- the structure of the plate 15 is completed by a full central part 16c having respective edge portions 20, 21 extending at an angle in mutually opposite directions relative to a longitudinal axis X of extension of the plate 16.
- the plate 16 also has smooth edge portions 22 and 23 (opposite the serrated edges 16a and 16b) adjoining the edge portions 20 and 21 of the central part 16c; each of the edge portions 22 and 23 is inclined at the same angle as the corresponding edge portion 20 and 21 of the central part, thus creating the above mentioned rhomboidal shape enabling the plate 16 to be housed frontally in the respective groove C1 - C2.
- This special geometrical shape enables the plate 16 to be inserted into the groove C1 - C2 substantially at an angle (and thus frontally) and then turned, once inside the groove C1 - C2, so as to bring the edges 16a and 16b into contact with the sections 3b and 4b of the protrusions 3 and 4, thus also enabling part of the central body 16c to be stopped and locked in place against the transversal sections 3a and 4a after fastening.
- the plate 16 has three threaded through holes 24 designed to be engaged by the above mentioned screw fastening elements 14.
- Each of the holes 24 has an open, threaded cylindrical extension 25 protruding from one of the surfaces of the plate 16: the extension 25 provides an added threaded surface for fastening with the screws 14.
- the hinge bodies 7 and 10 each provided with a plate 16, are placed on the respective grooves C1 and C2 (see Figure 1 ) after inserting the plates 16 into the respective grooves C1 - C2.
- the installer slides the hinge body 7 and 10 to the point chosen for fitting the hinge and can start tightening at least one of the screw elements 14.
- tightening begins with the middle screw element 14, the one that most easily imparts rotation to the respective plate 16 by just a few degrees (arrow F1, Figures 3 and 4 ) so as to cause the two edges 16a and 16b with the serrations 17 to lock against the inside surfaces of the two longitudinal sections 3b, 4b of the protrusions 3 and 4 which are thus penetrated by the outer front surface 18 of the serrations 17 themselves.
- a hinge made as described above fully achieves the aforementioned aims thanks to the special structure of the stop-lock elements.
- the serrations have a sort of "double profile" for cutting into the protrusions and creating a solid hinge structure that holds the entire half-part more securely and increases its grip inside the groove both laterally and perpendicularly: this is achieved by the firm grip of the serrations which penetrate the sides of the groove and reduce the risk of the individual parts of the protrusions bending or yielding.

Claims (5)
- Charnière pour portes et fenêtres comprenant un châssis fixe (1) et un châssis mobile (2) dont les profils forment des rainures de fixation longitudinales correspondantes (C1, C2) chacune constituée d'une paire (3, 4) de saillies renversées en forme de « L » se faisant face ou « ailes » définissant une ouverture longitudinale supérieure (5) définie par les sections transversales se faisant face (3a, 4a) dudit « L » ; la charnière (6) comprenant au moins :- un premier corps de charnière (7) ayant un premier manchon cylindrique et un premier rabat (8) pouvant être associé, par des premiers moyens de fixation (9), à la rainure (C1) du châssis fixe (1) ;- un second corps de charnière (10) ayant un second manchon cylindrique et un second rabat (11) pouvant être associé, par des seconds moyens de fixation (12), à la rainure (C2) du châssis mobile (2) ;- un axe d'articulation (13) pouvant être logé dans les deux manchons et définissant l'axe de rotation (Z) du châssis mobile (2) ;les premiers moyens de fixation (9) et les seconds moyens de fixation (12) comprenant chacun des éléments de vissage (14) insérés dans des orifices respectifs (15) dans chaque rabat (8, 11) et agissant sur des éléments de blocage pour butée respectifs (16) agissant sur les saillies (3, 4) et logés dans les rainures correspondantes (C1, C2) dans le châssis fixe (1) et le châssis mobile (2) ; chaque élément de blocage pour butée comprend un corps plat ou plaque (16) qui, vu(e) de dessus, possède une forme substantiellement polygonale ; avec, au niveau des deux bords distaux (16a, 16b), sur les côtés opposés de la plaque (16) et parallèles à celle-ci ainsi que sur les surfaces plates opposées de la plaque (16), une pluralité de dentelures (17) ; la charnière (6) étant caractérisée en ce que les dites dentelures (17) comprennent des protubérances (18, 19) qui, pendant la fixation de l'élément à vis (14), pénètrent toutes deux simultanément verticalement, c'est-à-dire, dans la surface interne des sections transversales (3a, 4a) des saillies (3,4) et frontalement, c'est-à-dire, dans les sections longitudinales (3b, 4b) des saillies (3, 4) ; en ce que les premiers moyens de fixation (9) et les seconds moyens de fixation (12) comprennent chacun au moins trois éléments de vissage (14) ; en en ce que le corps ou la plaque (16) possède trois trous passants filetés (24) conçus pour venir en prise avec les éléments à vis de fixation (14), dans lesquels un desdits trous passant filetés (24) se trouve dans une position centrale de sorte que le serrage de l'élément de vissage correspondant (14) donne une rotation au corps ou à la plaque (16) de sorte à provoquer le verrouillage des deux bords (16a, 16b) contre les surfaces internes des deux sections longitudinales (3b, 4b) des saillies (3, 4) avec les dentelures (17) qui sont ainsi pénétrées par la surface antérieure externe (18) des dentelures (17) elles-mêmes.
- Charnière selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que chaque bord (16a, 16b) de la plaque (16) comprend une pluralité de dentelures (17) qui s'alternent avec des espaces vides pour se fixer à la rainure correspondante (C1, C2) ; la surface externe libre (18) de chaque dentelure (17) formant une surface rectiligne plate conçue pour inciser frontalement dans les sections longitudinales (3b, 4b) et définir une partie des protubérances de pénétration.
- Charnière selon les revendications 1 et 2, caractérisée en ce que chaque dentelure comprend un corps prismatique (17) ayant, sur ses côtés, des protubérances correspondantes en forme de coin (19) se développant asymétriquement, c'est-à-dire, l'une vers le haut et l'autre vers le bas, de sorte que l'une ou l'autre puissent réaliser une incision verticale dans les sections transversales (3a, 4a), indépendamment du sens de montage de la plaque (16) dans la rainure (C1, C2), ce qui signifie que la position de la plaque (16) dans les rainures (C1, C2) est réversible.
- Charnière selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que la plaque (16) possède une partie centrale pleine (16c) ayant des portions de côté correspondantes (20, 21) se développant selon un angle dans des directions mutuellement opposées par rapport à un axe longitudinal (X) d'extension de la plaque (16).
- Charnière selon la revendication 4, caractérisée en ce que la plaque (16) possède aussi des portions de côté lisses (22, 23) reliées aux portions de côté (20, 21) de la partie centrale (16c) et se développant selon un angle identique à la portion de côté correspondante (20, 21) de la partie centrale.
