Es kann jedoch auch vorgesehen sein, dass die jeweiligen Ventile 36 mittels eines Funksignals betätigt werden. Claims (58)

  1. Forme cylinder (06) of a printing press having a plurality of sections (A; B; C; D; E; F) following one another in its axial direction on its lateral surface, it being possible to arrange in each case at least one printing forme (01) in each of these sections (A; B; C; D; E; F), the forme cylinder (06) having at least one channel (07) extending in its axial direction, with an opening (08) on the lateral surface of this forme cylinder (06), at least one retaining device in each case assigned to one of the sections (A; B; C; D; E; F) in each case being arranged in the or in each channel (06), the respective retaining devices in each case being sectionally pneumatically actuatable, a device for the distribution of the compressed air supplied to the forme cylinder (06) to the respective sections (A; B; C; D; E; F) being provided in the forme cylinder (06), the device distributing compressed air supplied to the forme cylinder (06) to the respective sections (A; B; C; D; E; F) being designed as an arrangement of a plurality of valves (36), these valves (36), depending on their switch position in the section (A; B; C; D; E; F) in each case assigned to them, actuating the respective retaining device, at least one control device (18) being provided outside this forme cylinder (06), by which these valves (36) can be actuated without contact, characterised in that outside the sections (A; B; C; D; E; F) at least one recess open to the lateral surface of this forme cylinder (06) is formed, the device for the distribution of the compressed air supplied to the forme cylinder (06) to the respective sections (A; B; C; D; E; F) being arranged in the at least one recess, a plurality of valves (36) arranged in one of the recesses being combined to give a valve block, a connection box (42) common to all valves (36) of this valve block being provided on the valve block and a plurality of pneumatic lines (37; 41) being attached to this connection box (42).
  2. Forme cylinder (06) according to Claim 1, characterised in that in the forme cylinder (06), at least as many valves (36) are provided as this forme cylinder (06) has sections (A; B; C; D; E; F).
  3. Forme cylinder (06) according to Claim 1, characterised in that the control device {18) in association with each of the valves (36) is directed in a radial line of action on the lateral surface of the forme cylinder (06).
  4. Forme cylinder (06) according to Claim 1, characterised in that the valves (36) arranged in the forme cylinder (06) in each case have a magnetically or inductively actuatable actuating device.

  7. Forme cylinder (06) according to Claim 1, characterised in that the valves (36) arranged in the forme cylinder (06) can be actuated by a magnet (39) manually brought close to the forme cylinder (06).
  8. Forme cylinder (06) according to Claim 7, characterised in that the magnet (39) manually brought close to the forme cylinder (06) is arranged in or on a glove.
  9. Forme cylinder (06) according to Claim 1, characterised in that a radial distance of the control device (18) to the respective actuating device of the valve (36) to be actuated is between 2 mm and 50 mm, preferably between 5 mm and 30 mm, in particular between 6 mm and 10 mm.

Forme cylinder (06) according to Claim 25, characterised in that the compressed air supply device (28) transfers the compressed air to be distributed to the forme cylinder (06) at its respective retaining devices assigned to the respective sections (A; B; C; D; E; F) by means of only a single line from an external pressurising agent source on the forme cylinder (06).

Forme cylinder (06) according to Claim 25, characterised in that the compressed air supply device (28) transfers the compressed air to be distributed to the forme cylinder (06) coaxially to the forme cylinder (06) at its respective retaining devices assigned to the respective sections (A; B; C; D; E; F).
  28. Forme cylinder (06) according to Claim 25, characterised in that only a single compressed air supply line (28) is provided on the forme cylinder (06).
  29. Forme cylinder (06) according to Claim 25, characterised in that only a single line is provided in the forme cylinder (06), which conducts the compressed air transferred to the forme cylinder (06) by means of the compressed air supply device (28) to the valves (36) arranged in the recess.
  30. Forme cylinder (06) according to Claim 25, characterised in that the compressed air supply line (28) is designed as a rotary connection.
  31. Forme cylinder (06) according to Claim 1, characterised in that the pneumatic lines (37; 41) attached to the connection box (42) are installed in the same channel (07).

Forme cylinder (06) according to Claim 1, characterised in that retaining means assigned to the individual sections (A; B; C; D; E; F) of the forme cylinder (06) are arranged in the channel (07), these retaining means retaining at least one print forme (01) arranged on the lateral surface of the forme cylinder (06) in each case at a suspension arm (13) bevelled on its lower edge (12).

Form cylinder (06) according to Claim 36, characterised in that the retaining means arranged in the channel (07) have a retaining position and a release position with respect to the suspension arm (13) of the print forme (01) to be held, at least one change from the retaining position to the release position being dependent on an actuation of a valve (36) assigned to the retaining means concerned.
  38. Printing unit having at least one forme cylinder (06) according to Claim 1, characterised in that a processing unit belonging to the printing press is provided, this processing unit triggering the at least one control device (18) to the effect that the control device (18) actuates the valves (36) arranged in the forme cylinder (06).
  39. Printing unit according to Claim 38, characterised in that the processing unit is arranged in a control centre being part of the printing press.
  40. Printing unit according to Claim 38, characterised in that the at least one control device (18) in assignment to the valves (36) has a plurality of electrically controllable magnets (38) arranged next to one another.
  41. Printing unit according to Claim 38, characterised in that the at least one control device (18) actuates the valves (36) arranged in the forme cylinder (06) as a function of at least one determined angular position of the forme cylinder (06).
  42. Printing unit according to Claim 38, characterised in that the at least one control device (18) is arranged fixed to the frame in the printing press.
  43. Printing unit according to Claim 38, characterised in that at least one pressure bar (26) extending parallel to the axis of this forme cylinder (06) is assigned to the forme cylinder (06).
  44. Printing unit according to Claim 43, characterised in that the pressure bar (26) is held at a distance from the lateral surface of the forme cylinder (06) at both ends in the frame of the printing press.
  45. Printing unit according to Claim 43, characterised in that the pressure bar (26) has a plurality of roller elements (14), in each case assigned to the respective sections (A; B; C; D; E; F), in the axial direction of the forme cylinder (06).
  46. Printing unit according to Claim 43, characterised in that the position of the roller elements (14) of the pressure bar (26) on the lateral surface of the forme cylinder (06) is controlled by a control device.

Printing unit according to Claim 45, characterised in that the roller elements (14) of the pressure bar (26) assigned to a certain section (A; B; C; D; E; F) can be positioned independently of the roller elements (14) in another section (A; B; C; D; E; F) or in all other sections (A; B; C; D; E; F) on the lateral surface of the forme cylinder (06).
  48. Printing unit according to Claim 45, characterised in that all roller elements (14) of the pressure bar (26) arranged next to one another can in each case only be positioned together on the lateral surface of the forme cylinder (06).
  49. Printing unit according to Claim 46, characterised in that a common control device controls both the valves (36) arranged in the forme cylinder (06) as well as the roller elements (14) of the pressure bar (26).
  50. Printing unit according to Claim 38, characterised in that at least one retaining means (11) arranged separately from the forme cylinder (06) is provided, this retaining means (11) holding at least one printing forme (01) to be supplied to the forme cylinder (06) in one of its sections (A; B; C; D; E; F) by a non-positive connection.
  51. Printing unit according to Claim 50, characterised in that a control device operates the non-positive connection made by the retaining means (11) to the printing forme (01).
  52. Printing unit according to Claim 50, characterised in that a sensor (19) or a switch (19) is provided, a physical contact produced between the retaining means (11) and the printing forme (01) actuating the sensor (19) or switch (19), whereupon the control device switches on the non-positive connection.
  53. Printing unit according to Claim 49, characterised in that a common control device controls the valves (36) arranged in the forme cylinder (06) and the roller elements (14) of the pressure bar (26) and the non-positive connection made by the retaining means (11) to the printing forme (01).
  54. Printing unit according to Claim 53, characterised in that the common control device is arranged in the control centre being part of the printing press.
  55. Printing unit according to Claim 38, characterised in that the forme cylinder (06) is designed as a double-circumference forme cylinder (06) having two channels (07) in each case displaced by 180° to one another.
  56. Printing unit according to Claim 38, characterised in that the forme cylinder (06) is designed as a single-circumference forme cylinder (06) having only a single parallel axis channel (07).
  57. Printing unit according to Claim 38, characterised in that the forme cylinder (06) cooperates with a transfer cylinder designed as a double-circumference cylinder.
  58. Printing unit according to Claim 38, characterised in that it is arranged in an H-printing unit or in a 9-satellite printing unit.
